Budget Appliance Repair

The service was prompt and professional. Overall it was a very good experience and I would recommend using them. The diagnosis was accurate and there were no unexpected costs or changes after the work began. The price was fair but not any type of deal. The cost for the part quoted was higher than could have been obtained on the internet, but not extremely. I definitely was comfortable with what was done and felt it was handled extremely professionally.

I was able to get an appointment the same day I called. He was very prompt and quick in his work. I also greatly appreciated his advice and honesty in saying that the dishwasher simply had to be replaced. He did not try to convince me to tell my landlord that the expensive replacement part needed to be ordered. He even gave me his personal contact information to give my landlord in case he had any questions. Great experience overall!

Called the company about 8:30 in the morning and I was told that the service technician would come out between 1 and 3. I got a call from the technician about 11:30 asking if he could come over. He arrived about 15 minutes later and had the problem diagnosed in about 10 minutes. The repair took about another half an hour or so. The technician was polite, professional and on task. I would use them again.

Called and got an appointment for the next day. Gave a time frame of between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. Called to say they were available earlier but I was not able to meet them. The came at scheduled time. Repaired the machine. Tech was very friendly and explained what he was doing as he went along. Machine works fine and I was very pleased with the service! Would definitely use them again!

The repairman came to our house to diagnose and repair our six year-old dishwasher, which would not turn on. He found the problem to be caused by cockroaches ruining our electronic control module. He would not accept payment for his "house call," saying that we could pay him when he came back to install the new control unit. He called back a few days later to tell us that the cost of the replacement unit would be so high that, when his labor costs were factored in, it would be almost as expensive as purchasing a new dishwasher. We opted to replace the dishwasher entirely, and he never did charge us for his original visit. As a result, he has won a loyal customer for life, and one that will recommend him to others without a moment's hesitation.

The repairman felt this would be the case before he looked at the washer, so really only needed a minute to look at it. He did suggest buying a top loader as a replacement. This information would have been useful before arranging the appointment.

Agency was called by our renters on my request. I later spoke to the renters, and they were very happy with the quick service, and the professional way the workman did the work. All in all, I was happy and so were my renters. No one had to "stand over them" to get the work done right the first time. Very happy!

No problems with the service, but I was shocked and uncomfortable when a second repairman came in, unbeknownst to me, went into my personal bathroom without asking. (I would have directed him to my guestroom which was clean and meant for others). When I heard the repairman come out, I went to tell him he needed to ask, and it was a repair person I had never seen before! This second repairman seemed more knowledgeable than the first, but was rude in response to my questions.

It was fixed and the technician, Dan did a great job and was very professional. But, they advertise 24 hour service yet could not come out until the next day. They also advertise a $25.00 discount on repairs costing $250.00 or more which I did not receive. Also the fan motor I feel was priced on the high end. Hopefully I won't be in need of appliance repair. But if I do, I will try someone else. Do what is advertised.

I have a rather old refrigerator, difficult to get to and it was repaired efficiently, and without complaint. Water had leaked under it to a great extent, so I was relieved to have the repair done by Budget Apppliance.

Excellent service. He first came and did the dryer but had to order the computer part for dishwasher. On his return he replaced computer for dishwasher. Great service.

Overall it meet and exceeded my expectations in some regards. The fridge has been performing like a champ after the repairs for several months now with no new issues.

Called Budget Appliance and they were at our home within the hour. Prompt, friendly service at a reasonable price. Would definitely use them again in the future.

Dryer on/off knob had fallen off and metal post to which it had been connected had become loose and disappeared into the control panel. Called the repair company and they were able to send someone at the time requested. They gave me a 2-hour window of time, and the guy arrived right on time and was very courteous and professional. He had to move the dryer (it's in a tight space) and remove the top in order to remove the control panel, which was itself a bit awkward to remove. He showed me that the problem was caused by some plastic pieces having broken off inside the panel-- cheap construction! The panel would have to be replaced. He called a supply company and told me he could pick up a new panel and return the next day. He came again the next day, promptly at the appointed hour (important for me since I needed to get back to work), replaced the panel, tested all the knobs, and the thing is fine now. On the first day I also asked him to check out my high-efficiency washer because during the rinse cycle the tub fills a little bit and then drains entirely before swishing the clothes around. He put the washer through the rinse cycle, observing and calling some resource person to check about typical performance of this particular type of washer. The next day when he came to finish work on the dryer, he said my washer's operation was typical for the model, and the maker got a lot of complaints but (the maker) maintains that's how it's supposed to work. He did not charge for the time spent on the washer. Overall I was very satisfied with the scheduling ease, the promptness, the work performed, and the friendly professionalism.

The tech arrived quickly and did the job well. I always call them, they are the best!

Fast repair, fast response, courteous, honest and the washer works great now.

They were quick. They didn’t have the part in their truck that day. They tried to charge $180 for a part from me that they didn’t have in their truck. It was ridiculous. I was very pleased as they came the same day. I would not use them in the future. Also while they have a senior citizen discount, they never offered it to me; expecting me to ask them.

The repair was handled quickly and efficiently; 5 to 10 minutes in total. The invoice didn’t include the cost of the part but it didn’t look like anything expensive. The bill was $145.05 with a $30 senior discount. For an inexpensive part and less than 10 minutes labor, the price seemed high to us, but no complaints about the service. The price was no higher than the company we used the last time.

It went well - it was sad to have to buy a new refrigerator, but better to have the old one diagnosed as terminal rather than spending good money after bad.

I called Budget Appliance because of the good reviews on Angie's List. We made the appointment for them to come out the next day. Greg arrived after calling in the window of time they had given me and started fixing my appliance problems. He started with the gas stove-top. The pipe to one of the burners had come loose so that was an easy fix. He pulled out my refrigerator and figured out that the problem with my ice-maker was a clogged water line. He showed me how a water line connection to the ice-maker was improperly installed and advised me to ask the plumber to change the piping so that we could turn off the water to the ice-maker without turning off the water for the entire house. I've since called a plumber who did find that it was the valve from the main water line that was clogged and thought Greg's advice was the right way to go. The ice-maker is now making ice. Finally Greg fixed the dryer door switch. I found Greg to be knowledgeable, polite and efficient. I will definitely call Budget for any other appliance problems

This was a great example of how a super nice and honest repair person can make up for a few snafus. Overall, I was exceptionally happy with the service I received from Budget Appliance Repair and I would recommend them. However, there were a few snags. I first called them on 11/25/11 because our washing machine was spilling suds all over the floor and our dishwasher was broken. The woman on the phone was new (it was her first day) and forgot to take my name, but she did schedule someone to come by right away. Zack came and was super nice and professional. He didn't even look at the washer for more than a few seconds and diagnosed that I was using the wrong type of laundry soap. He also figured out that my dishwasher handle was broken and would only cost $28 to replace. I was super happy that both repairs were minor and cost way less than I thought. Except he was wrong... I replaced the soap and ran another load. It *still* spilled suds all over my floor. When I looked at the door, there was a HUGE hole in it that Zack had missed. We're talking 14" long and 2" wide. So I called them and he came over again to order the door for me. He said the part would be in within a week. A week came and went and no call. After 10 days, I called them. The woman on the phone said she had to check if the part had come in. She said she would find out and call be back that day. She didn't. I called again the next day and she told me they were still waiting for one of the parts and she wasn't certain when it would be in (to their credit, the reason they were waiting is so he could replace both of them at the same time to only charge me one service charge). A couple days after that conversation, she called and said the part was finally in. Zack came by and installed both parts on 12/9/11. He was super courteous, calling before he arrived and he did a great job. He also didn't charge me for the second (and third calls). I appreciate the fact that he was really honest with me and the repair was far less expensive that I thought it'd be. So despite the little snags, I would still highly recommend them for any appliance repair.

I contacted Budget Appliance Repair and a guy named Dave was at my house the same day at exactly the time as he said he would. He knew exactly what was wrong, knew how to fix it, and had a new part in his truck. The part cost me $140.00 which was a little less that the cheapest I could find online. He had the part installed in 25 minutes and he tested it out to make sure the washer went through the cycles properly before he left. Dave was very polite and professional and give me useful information on the operation of my washer. I was THRILLED. I have dealt with other plumbers and repairmen only to get ripped off. I would recommend this company to anyone, anytime.

After experiencing frustration with scheduling our refrigerator repair through Sears' call center, we looked on Angie's List and found this company. They were able to schedule a visit on the same day I called (as opposed to the middle of next week) and showed up promptly. Our fridge was not cooling properly, and the excellent technician, Greg, swiftly diagnosed not one, but two problems. A thermal switch was bad, as was the condenser fan motor. He had to remove the ice maker, open up the back of the freezer, then pull out the fridge from its compartment and remove the back panel. It was pretty complicated. In less than than an hour and a half Greg had diagnosed the problems and completed the repairs. He had the parts in his truck and he was very knowledgeable, kind, polite, intelligent and a pleasure to have in our home. Thank you!
