Description of Work: Having a blocked drain is never a good experience. I joined Angies List because I needed a Plumber Now. My main drain was blocked and we where going into the 3rd day and my home insurence company said the Plumber would be out on Monday. The weekend with 8 peple in the house and No way to do dishes or laundry was not a great idea. So i called a couple of companys and got high prices. I attempted to call Drain Daddy at the number listed but it was a bad number so I called the other number listed and got his wifes Cell Phone. She was very nice and gave me his number. I think I made her aware that she was on Angies List. I contacted him and he said he could come as soon as his current job was done and he would be at my house in 90 min. He showed up on time and and gave me a decent estimete not the cheapest but Far Cheaper then Roto Rooter. The the blockage was about 70 feet down the pipe, he had the snake working and was done in 30 min. He also split the bill for me so I only had to pay 75 dollars right then. My main goal was to get my drain cleaned at a fair price and that goal was accomplished and quickly along with a 30 day garentee. I could have waited for my American Home Shield Plumber to show up on Monday and he is still coming to fix other stuff, but I need this done today and at a fair price and I got it done. The laundry room and Main Kitchen are the key to the functioning of the whole house. Clothes pile up and Dishes Pile up quickly if things don't work. He was aboout business and got it done and it Cost a fair price. But this is Hawaii and Business can be Costly and Not Get Done. I would use him again.

 + -1 moreThe bathtub filler was stuck. We didn't want to risk snapping the pipe so we called Don. He was very friendly and was able to come do the job that afternoon. He was able to just get the filler off using a plumber's wrench in about 1 minute without snapping the pipe. Although he said it was a possibility, there was nothing else he could do to prevent that from happening. Luckily it didn't happen. The only down-side to Don's service was that he has a minimum $85 hour rate. I suppose he drove to the site and may have taken on some liability if something went wrong. However, it still seemed like quite a high minimum. He took a personal check.

Description of Work: Replaced cartridges on 4 faucets Changed toilet mechanism, cleaned dirt out of mechanism, solved toilet-running problem that had plagued us for several months through three workmen.

 + -1 moreMost importantly, he put forth extra effort to find an obsolete part to complete the job which save us from tearing out the whole wall which would have cost an additional $500 to repair. My highest recommendation!!

Description of Work: Kitchen sink clogged - ran 3/8" cable 45' to 55' to clear. Line cleared at about 40'. Ran water 10 minutes to test for leaks.

 + -1 moreThe only thing Don could work on would be better communication with his customers (call customer if running late or can't make it on time so customer is not kept waiting and can reschedule) I did express these comments to Don. Otherwise he did a good job in repairing and replacing parts in my old toilet.

Description of Work: Don came out to my home within the promise time. He was punctual and professional. He gave me an estimate for the work and delivered the week after when promised. He had done the job and cleaned up the area and took the garbage with him. He did ask how I got the number and name and explained to him, I got it from Angies' List and that there was good rating on his company and work. He was not aware of Angies' List, but sounded appauled that he got a good rating. Told him that this web site keeps consumers aware of scams and takes other users adivse. Thanks Angie!
