Great! I was pleased with the job!

Required an extra part and a little more work because of the setup in my house. The fan is securely installed and works perfectly. James did a great job.

This piece of trim had been installed by some painters less than a year before and was already pulling away from the house. During periods when I have more time I would do this sort of repair myself but I did not have time to do it so I called in some help. James came out and carefully analyzed *why* I was having problems and clearly presented my options for repair. He clearly gave details on the pros and cons with each approach including cost and I having done similar repairs in the past I fully agreed with his assessment. The work was done quickly and neatly. I keep his card on my desk to have it handy in case I need other work done.

One big job that I had him do was to install a doggy door for me. His price is very reasonable. He is reliable, clean, and quiet when he does his job. He does good work at a good price. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.

James did excellent work replacing the wood damage. He had to make a piece that went in my door frame since it could not be purchased. When finshed it looked great. Not only did he fix what I asked he also found other windows that had dry rot and suggested that I replace them as well. He explained what he was doing and why the work was necessary. The only negative comment I had is he went over the agreed upon price since the work took longer then he estimated which was not factored in the price he gave me however it was still a much better price then three other competitors.

James was very prompt,professional and courteous and pays particular attention to detail. I gave him a "B" on pricing because he charges an hourly rate vs. per job. While I understand the reasoning for this it makes it difficult for budgeting purposes.

He was on time and did the job. I had the part and he just replaced it. It was pretty much fine. I am satisfied with his work. He was also reasonably priced.

Very professional, showed up on time, cleaned up after the project (vacuumed without me asking him), efficient, very receptive to my questions about the work, and did the best work he could do to my satisfaction.

James Altman built a custom doggie door and outside ramp for it shortly after we moved in. He even built on a mini-roof overhang over the doggie door to keep the rain from hitting it directly. The stucco and framing work he had to do in a small tight space was amazing. Although we agreed on a price prior to his starting, he encountered extra framing work that neither of us anticipated, so I gladly paid him for the extra work. He has also replaced all of the toilets in our house, and I expect to use him again to upgrade all of the light switches in the house and fix a few loose electrical outlets.

He would have had to probably build a small cabinet to put the stove top as well as the sink into. He did cancel a few times on the estimate, but he did provide an estimate for me but I thought it was way too high. I had the work done by another company for half the price he quoted me. He did everything else great and had some good ideas.

James replaced the trim on 6 columns on my front porch that had rotted. He brilliantly came up with the idea of using pvc (wont ever rot) and painting it. He painstakingly cut each piece (there are several per column) fitted it and nailed it in and painted them all. Additionally, our faucet in the backyard has leaking for years. We have had other handymen come in and try to fix, but none of them have worked. James figured out a way to remove the pipe coming into the kitchen and replace both the pipe and the spigot without going thru the wall or the hardiplank outside. He is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. He bought all the parts he needed from Home Depot and gave me the receipt. Very honest and reliable. He worked all day -- diligently to get all the work done. Very very pleased with his work.

He went to Home Depot for parts using my Home Depot Credit Card which saved me money, very honest.

He was very polite, prompt, and thorough.

It went great, he did what I asked for him to do. I would definitely use him again.

He always does a great job on any project dealing with house repairs. I think that the grout work was more of a challenge than we all expected. He removed the old grout and replaced it. There were a few areas that showed up after the grout started to dry and I called him regarding this. He can back and addressed this issue. We will call him again for the wood related issues or construction questions.

He was professional, cleaned up his mess and was responsive. Reasonable price. He fixed a hole in the wall and our trash compactor. I would give the overall experience around a B.

James was very thorough in his attention to details. He is very adept and knowledgeable about home repairs. He gave me tips about various supplies to use around the house to complete repairs on my own. He has a vast array of tools, which he can use for the unique situations a homeowner may come across when having repairs done. I will use him again. The next time I use him, I will ask for a written quote with an expected completion date with any additional costs if the job takes longer.

I often have little jobs for the handyman and he never complains. He is very precise in his work, comes out quickly and does exactly what is needed. He was originally recommended to me by some neighbors and his work is so good that I recommend him too.

He met with us and gave us a quote for the repairs. This was a little tricky as the extent of the damage could not be clearly seen due to the placement of the gutters and the angle of the roof. He arrived as scheduled with very profession equipment and made some excellent suggestions for preventing future squirrel invasions. The trim work on our front door area had been previously repaired with less than quality materials. Mr. Altman removed these and built new pieces to match. All work was completed with a better than new system in place. I would highly recommend him and plan to call for any future work. (I have recommend Mr. Altman's company twice in the last month.) I found this service on Angie's List and we are very pleased.)

We are very satisfied with everything and would highly recommend them to anyone. They were on time and friendly and made sure to answer all of our questions. The man that came was so polite and courteous. The price is always reasonable. The price included the filters as well as the visit. We pay per visit and we are very satisfied.

James was on time. He brought high class equipment and was experienced in all areas I needed him. He communicated well, left things tidy, bought some items at his own time before coming back the next day. He worked 12 hours and fixed our roof, and took care of all our smalled items. He was professional and hard working. He charged us $30 an hour and only the items we really needed for the job that he had gotten for us. I would highly recommend him!!!

James is an excellent worker. He is trustworthy, clean, neat, courteous, punctual and always willing to help you get the most for your money. I have no problem leaving him in my house alone to work. As a matter of fact, I went out of town for a week and let him stay at my house so he could install the laminate flooring.
