Description of Work: They made an initial visit to inspect and found a minor leak in the intake housing; we repaired that but the pool continued to leak. |They returned with more equipment and identified a leak underneath the steps.

Description of Work: We have gunite pool that was leaking. Our regular pool company had been slow to react. Repair and cost seemed excessive. American Leak Detection was recommended by a 2nd pool company. ALD was called, did a complete leak analysis and provided a repair quote for 1/3 the original quote. Repair took one day. We were back in the pool less than a week after the finished repair.

Description of Work: Call them because I was getting water stains in hardwood floor. I was thinking I had a slab leak, after speaking to them on the phone they told me some steps to take to check before they came out. Turns out I did not have a slab leak, but had a leak in a shower liner. thanks to them for being honest and not just coming out and taking my money when I didn't need them. But if I ever need a leak detector service I'll call them first.

We called American leak detection and got very prompt return calls. The flat rate fee for leak detection was explained on the phone so I knew exactly what I would be paying for the service . When the technician came out he used high tech equipment to find our leak under the concrete driveway , we were able to get our bad plumbing fixed based on the findings. The technician was very informative as to what to expect from the plumbing service and also gave me great references for a plumber . The work was completed in a timely manner and we had great service .

Description of Work: I was losing water in my pool at the rate of 2-3 inches per day, yikes! Two years ago I used a different company and when I called them they could not come for over two weeks, can you imagine what my water bill would have been? I came to Angie and found American Leak Detection. I called and they answered, no voice mail! They were very inofrmative as to their price schedule and the decision making process the technician would use upon arrival to determine which tests were and were not needed. They set up a technician to come the next day at 10:30am, which was great because I was having a huge party at my house in two days and really wanted to try and resolve this so I could get my water properly treated. The technician arrived at my house at 10:35am the next day! WOW! He was very kind, and took his time to explain the process he would be using. He set up his equipment and began his investigation. About half way through he stopped, knocked on my door and stated that he could go on and charge me for a complete inspection but he found the leaks and did not see a need to continue unless I wanted him to! This saved me about $300. He showed me the leaks and explained why they happened. He stated he could not patch them (more on that later). He cleaned up his equipment and remembered to close my gate (so many workers forget and the dogs get out). My only issue is that he said he could not patch the leaks. I have a vinyl liner in a below ground pool and the leaks were bad. I understand he stated he could not fix them because they would not have fixed permenantly or in anyway that he could have warrantied due to their location and size. But in the end I patched them myself (I went and got quotes on a liner and that just has to wait) with a home patch kit. He could have explained that the patches could be done and maybe done them without offerring a warranty on his work, but that is ok and no reason to NOT use them. I would call them again. Way before I call the company I used previously.

Description of Work: We live in a ranch house built on a concrete slab, built 30 yrs. ago. The plumbing runs under the slab. Our floor was hot and the hot water heater was running far too much. When we first moved to the house, we discovered the same problem and had a nightmare experience before we learned how to locate and get a water leak of this sort repaired. We called Atlanta Leak Detection, and Paul Lawrence was sent to our house to find the leak. Though there were some complications, he found the leak and marked the carpet with tape. When the plumber came, the leak was EXACTLY where he indicated, reducing the amount of jack-hammering needed to get to the pipe in question and repair it.
