I ordered this Big Deal for $156 through Angie's List, 18 Aug 2013 and the transaction was processed on my credit card that same day. I received a message on Angie's List from Scott at Clean Air Pros saying he would be in touch to set up a day to do the work. I was unaware of the concierge service available through Angie's List, so I attempted to contact Clean Air Pros myself through Angie's List to set up an appointment for the work. In my message I provided a series of dates and times that would be most convenient for me to have the work accomplished. When I hadn't heard from Clean Air Pros by 22 Aug I sent the same information by email thinking perhaps the message through Angie's List had not been picked up. I waited another week without a response before attempting to call the company. After several calls I was finally able to talk with Scott and set up an appointment but the earliest he could come was three weeks later at noon on 27 Sep. At ten past noon Scott called to say he was running 1-1/2 hours late and asked if he could come mid-afternoon. I told him I would reschedule another appointment to accommodate him for the later time that day. At 4:30 that afternoon I received a call from Clean Air Pros saying Scott was running very late and would like to reschedule for another day. I asked for the earliest date for the reschedule and was informed it would not be until another three weeks. I have canceled the "service" through Angie's List and have booked through them another provider for the work. Clean Air Pros appears to be a very poorly managed company. They either have overbooked their work or are so inexperienced that they don't have an appreciation for the time required to transit the area and accomplish the work they have booked. I certainly would not recommend this company.

I bought my Big Deal Aug. 2nd for air duct cleaning and sanitizing plus dryer vent cleaning. I had problems getting intouch with Scott Fountain of Clean Air Pro to make a appointment to get the work done. Finally after a month and a half later I got a appointment for Sept. 14 but he didn't put it in his date book so he couldn't make the appointment, but just came by without a appointment on Sept 11th. When no one was home. I had to get intouch with him again to make a second appointment for Sept. 28th. I texted him on Thursday Sept 26 to remind him of our appointment on Saturday morning and never received a text back. He didn't show up or call to cancle the appointment on Sept 28th at 9:00 am. I got a text from Mr. Fountain a day later explaning he was very sick and sorry he didn't make the appointment and clould come Monday 9/30 at 5 PM. He arived late but did a very good job on the air ducts and dryer vent. I'm very happy with the work that was done but wouldn't use Clean Air Pro again, because of all the trouble I had getting the work done, after I had already paid for the job.
Description of Work: Clean Air Pro did a good job cleaning and sanitizing the air ducts plus cleaning the dryer vents but Scott Fountain didn't show up for 2 appointments and didn't called to let me know that he couldn't make it.

Not sure what happened here or why the customer is so angry! Some customers call me after purchasing, some wait to be contacted and its a shame that some just go and write nasty reviews before ever giving the vendor the time to provide the service. I receive calls and emails every day from new or existing clients needing service.Sometimes with a huge response to big deals it takes time to get back and schedule with everyone It is clear from my 200 plus "A" reviews that I do good work but I have struggled with managing all the calls and appointments I try to keep. Clean Air Pros Has completed over 1500 jobs in the past 2 years with excellent reviews from the customers I work for and not so good from those few who quit on me before I able able to complete their job. Keep in mind that I am a small company and do all the work myself. When a big deal is offered usually between 50 and 150 people need to be contacted for scheduling asap- sometimes that takes a couple of weeks or even longer. There is no scam to the deals on angies list and i honor all coupons purchased even after the expiration date.

So having read all the reviews I knew that there were communication problems but since I also own a small business I was hoping that if I was patient enough that he be able to clean the ducts as promised. So I let him choose the date and time, he chose a date about three weeks out from the first phone call. He seemed very nice on the phone and I assumed all was good. The date was set for September 5 around noon. I called on September just to confirm and was told I was on the schedule and he would call as soon as he was on his way to my house. I sent my husband home around noon just in case I missed the call so that someone would be there. Well we waited and we waited and husband kept calling to as if I had heard from him, he had things he needed to go do but was willing to wait as long as necessary. Around 2:30 I called just to make sure that we were still on the list. The phone was answered right away, I explained who I was and I ask if he was still going to get to my house today. He ask "Didn't you get my voice mail message ", I told him I had not received one but would check and before I could check he said "Oh, That's OK I dialed the wrong number when I was trying to call you " How could he know he had dialed a wrong number and then not called the correct number. Then he said that he would not be able make it today, because he was too busy and the job he had just finished had made him too dirty. Now remember I had let him set the date the work was to be preformed and the time, I was in no rush but I did tell him that someone would have to take off from work to meet him. He said he would be more that happy to set a new time to come out, I told him the next available date I had would be September 25th, he said that he thought that would work but would have to call me back when he had his schedule in front of him. Why would he not have his schedule with him ??? So I waited and I waited and I waited for his phone call which never came. I called him 2 times and left messages and he never returned my call. I guess I was too nice. So my next step is to ask Angie's List to return my money since the work has not been preformed as of this date. I have read the other reviews and his responses to these, and it seems that he is very defensive when people are not happy with his communication skills, so before he tells me how many happy customers he has each and every month I have a couple of suggestions for him. This is from one small business owner to another. I too run a small business. We clean general aviation aircraft, this too is a very dirty and time consuming job. I have owned and operated this business since 1990. I too have to go out and do the work and answer the phone and schedule the work and send out the bills and pay the employees and deal with the customers and order the supplies and check the finished product and I am a very very busy person. BUT........ when a customer calls and gets my voice mail (which is very often) I check my voice mail on a very regular basis, at least once an hour, I return all the calls as quickly as possible at the very latest by the end of the day. If I miss that customer I leave a detailed message for them (I have read where he claimed to return calls but did not leave messages). If for some reason I cannot preform the desired service within the desired deadline I call and make sure the customer is aware, if I have to leave a message I do, but if I don't hear back from them or if I know that I have called a wrong number, I will call again just to make sure they have received my message and also to see if I can reschedule for a later time. The job that I do is also very very dirty at times, and as murphy's law prevails, when I am the most dirty is always when I have to meet a prospective customer or do work inside an aircraft. Due to this fact I always carry a change of clothes and shoes so that I can meet my deadlines and possibly make my customers happy. But this business owner uses it as an excuse not to meet his deadlines. How many clean heating systems does he find ?? If the ducting was clean why would they call him ?? Just a couple of questions. As far as scheduling goes, when I am out of the office I carry a daily log book so that I can write down who, what, and when I have booked customers. If that doesn't work, then smart phones are a wonder and you can either add things to the calendar or write notes to yourself so you will know what need to be done and when. This business says he has to do all the work himself, well there is no one to blame for that but himself. If you can't handle the business then why would you run Angie's List promotion ??? He also states that he has many many happy customers but I feel that may not be so. I'm sure that he makes a few people happy, but not as many as he claims. I am very disappointed in Angie's List for giving him an A rating. How can that be when there are so many complaints ??? I know the commercials state that no one can pay to be Angie's list but now I am beginning to question that So the above is my experience with Clean Air Pros, as you can tell I found them be anything but Professional.

wow- well let me explain what happened. This customer had the appointment scheduled for after lunch. At the first appointment when i arrived the home owner had not informed me that there was a foul odor coming from the vents , when I began the job I use flexible rods with brushes or whips to clean the inside of the ductwork. With this job some animal had been urinating or died in in the vents under the house in the crawl space. I normally carry disposable coverall suits with me but we were out that day.So when I went under the house to the line had to cut open and replaced and this awful awful smelling fluid came out on me while under the house with no where to mover out of the way- I was there the rest of the afternoon trying to complete for the new tennant moving into the home with 3 children. I had called the customer for the afternoon appointment early to let them know I would need to reschedule I was in no shape to come into there house. I dont read well without my glasses so when I called I may have left the message at the wrong number by mistake- but I assumed that I had called the customer and left a message and was going to call them later to reschedule a date- The customer called me that afternoon while I was driving in traffic and could not get to my schedule and I simply asked could I call them later when I could and from one business owner to another mr customer this job is nothing like cleaning an airplane which are all pretty much the same at one location with duct work, attics and crawl spaces they are all different. I thought it was best after talking with the customer to pass on providing them service and let them find someone else and after reading the review I am glad I did. I am sorry for your inconvenience and I was unable to meet your exectations

On Aug. 9, I purchased the deal for $199 to have my ducts cleaned and expected to receive a call back or email to schedule an appointment. I never received any communication from the contractor, Scott. From reading the other reviews on this site, I can tell a lot of people were upset with not getting service as quickly as they had hoped and therefore gave poor ratings. I assumed Scott must have been very busy scheduling all of these appointments so I did not call him right away to inquire, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. After nearly 4 weeks had passed and not getting any response from Scott, I called him and he was very professional and put me down for an appointment on Sept. 25, about 3 weeks from when this phone conversation took place. I did not ask why it took so long to schedule an appointment because I knew he was very busy and all I cared about was getting my ducts cleaned. I would not have gained anything by "giving him a piece of my mind". On the night before the appointment I received a voicemail from Scott saying he had to cancel and that he would try to call me the next day around lunch time to reschedule. I fear that if I do reschedule, then it will be canceled again like so many of the other reviews that I have read and this thing will drag on and on. I cannot wait any longer. I do not doubt the quality of work that Scott does and I am sure that all who receive his service are pleased. However, there is a major problem with the amount of appointments that are being ordered and I do not think he can handle all of them. There are too many reviews of Clean Air Pros that point to poor customer service and a lack of responsiveness to be considered as a rare occurrence. Something needs to be fixed. I had hoped to be one of the many satisfied customers of Clean Air Pros and to write a positive review. Unfortunately, I am one of the growing number of disappointed customers that wants their money back.

I complete 15 to 20 jobs per week and have completed over 1500 jobs in the past 2 years for very sattisfied customers- if it was not for the coupon buyers who get frustrated over trying to schedule or if a job has to be rescheduled because Im providing excelllent service for another customer they get mad and write bad reviews. Maybe if customers would focus more on the excellent A reviews and quality service I provide for the people I have actually done work for instead of those who are frustrated over schedulling and choose to write negatively. Please understand I am a small company working 12 to 14 hours a day and taking calls. When a big deal is offered I may have 150 people to follow up with, answer questions, answer emails and schedule appointments- and most of them are just as difficult to schedule with because they dont answer their phones or their at work ect...

Services were not performed as expected. I have a closed gutter system and in the fine print it states it cannot clean the gutters if it is a closed system. I think this question should have been asked at time of appointment schedule. A very expensive mistake. I did like all of the e-mail communication and appointment reminders. If you have an open gutter system they might do a really good job.

The owner does all of the work himself. He is very friendly. I am very happy with the work done. He also gave tips we can do to keep things in good shape. When I was doing research, I read about alot of companies that scam you into thinking you need more work done. They were friendly and professional for the most part. I am very confident that the deal on Angies List didn't specify that the price was per system. We expected to pay around $250 for the service and they charged us per system. When we looked at the current deal online it did indicate that the price was per system so we paid the bill. But I specifically remember scanning the offer for any indication that the price was per system before I purchased it and even remember reading a review for the same service provider indicating that the reviewer was surprised that the offer price covered both systems in his home. I am not saying that the price was not fair, but only indicating my disappointment in the situation. I am pretty sure that the offer was updated since I had purchased it online and I didn't have any way to prove it had. I wasn't really prepared to spend the $500 at the time and especially for a service of which the benefits have not been proven. I can't really comment about the service that was provided as it is difficult for the consumer to really assess the results or quality of work. I will say that they didn't make a mess which is much appreciated.

Clean Air Pros (Scott) was very unresponsive about setting up an appointment. Eventually, an appointment was set up five weeks from the date of purchase. Scott cancelled on me 25 minutes before the appointment, and was incredibly unprofessional. I've never been treated like this by a contractor, particularly one from whom I had already purchased a service. After calling and texting several days in advance, to confirm the appointment, I still took off the morning from work, and received this text "Justin sorry for the late response I need to reschedule your app I cannot do your job today" (sic). I told him that was unacceptable, as two hours of my work day had already been compromised. I asked him when he had planned on telling me about this and conveyed my concerns about his professionalism and his response was "Sorry. Have a good day.". I do not think that I've ever been this frustrated with a contractor's professionalism. The disregard he has for his customers is clear. I'm not even confident that he had the appointment in his books. He is overwhelmed with the business that Angie's List is giving him and he doesn't care how it inconveniences his customers. Completely unacceptable.

It was fine. He found some problems and he helped us to figure out how to solve it. He has a little trouble being punctual, but I guess he is busy. He did a good job once he got here. He found one or two that had some mold around them and he cleaned the walls off for me. I had some bleach, so he cleaned it off for me. He told us how to get things that would make it not happen again. He was supposed to come between eight and nine in the morning and didn't get here until the afternoon, but he did call. So I can't complain too much about that. It was a good price.

The original date had to be moved, but he arrived on time, immediately went to wok and did a good job. My only complaint is that shortly after I bought the deal, the price dropped 60 dollars. He also seemed unsure initially what service I had ordered. Nevertheless, the work was performed very well. Watch for the lower price.

We arranged to have our ducts cleaned after a week of trying to reach him...made arrangements and he never showed or called...we had to call him. Rescheduled for 9.12 and again no show or call and we called him...nor response. He was to be here at noon and it is now 5:13. I want my money back!
