Description of Work: They broke up old driveway and took it away. They then prepared the area and poured a new driveway. They coordinated very well with the cement provider and did the work as they stated they would. The new driveway looks great, and a couple of neighbors have complimented us on it. They told us they would start and finish at a certain time and they did. The next day, they power washed the sidewalk area and street area they used in front of our house. Am very pleased with their work.

Description of Work: I heartily recommend A-1 and have no reservation about using them in the future. Jeff Wirth was the project manager that provided the quote. A large crew showed up early on the agreed upon date and worked hard throughout the day. It was obvious they knew what they were doing. I have a good size, steep driveway, which required careful detail to proper angling to direct the water for proper drainage. To my amazement they removed the old driveway and completed the job by late afternoon. The following morning the cleanup crew returned to clean and pressure wash the street, re-attach the downspout, and remove all extraneous debris. They did mess up in one way, though, by laying out their gasoline power tools on my Zoysia lawn, and spilling a large amount of gasoline which completely killed a portion of the grass. After the clean-up crew confirmed this to Jeff, he promptly sent me a check for the cost of removing the dead grass and having the new sod professionally installed, no run-around and no questions asked. Lastly, the first rain confirmed that water runoff was as it was supposed to be. A-1 is an honest company that does a professional job.

Description of Work: Driveway replacement is not one of those exciting home improvements you shout about. However, I was very happy with A1. They met with me promptly after I contacted them, showed-up when they said they would, did a quick and very professional job that I am well pleased with, and gave me a nice price for their work as well. Description of Work: The team replaced my cracked driveway that has been sinking for several years. I knew there was construction debris under the drive and the team planned for a two day job. They were very clear about the costs for hauling debris out and the cost of fill, and the estimate was nearly on the mark. They had to remove several large tree stumps and much construction debris. Think of a hole about the size of a 30 yard dumpster. The team worked together with the precision of a well oiled machine and were a pleasure to watch. The new drive has rebar that was not in the original drive. They also added a drain pipe under the drive. (A drain pipe had been found emptying under the original drive.) I am very pleased with the work.

+ -1 moreThis was a disaster. When doing the patio, they cracked our driveway down the middle from top to bottom. When David Scott, the owner, came out to look at it, he yelled at us that it was there before in one of the most highly unprofessional experiences we have ever had with anyone. Then, 2 months later, the brand new patio has cracked all over the place and it is crumbling at the edges.
