Working with their team was easy and efficient and the product looks great.

All seemed well. The consultant, Phil B., came out and game we a competitive quote than included driveway removal, installing a new driveway, and adding a concrete pad in the backyard. Service was performed on time as expected; however a large portion of the driveweay has large black splotches and is discolored. Despite sending complaints and pictures to both A1 and Phil directly nobody has come out to correct the problem in 4 months. In fact, nobody has even come out to see the driveway since it has been poured. Multiple pictures were sent to A1 the day the project was done. Was told it would take up to 4 weeks to cure. 4 months later and it still looks the same -- and Phil and A1 have not returned - despite make multiple commitments to come look. Would not reccoemend A1.

They missed the start date due to a scheduling error on their part. They showed up the next week and destroyed our irrigation system while removing the existing driveway. There is a clause in the quote that states they aren't responsible for damage to irrigation. However, they said they would cut and cap any lines they found. They didn't do this and they ran over a main junction box and flow controls. Our yard guy said it would be a $2000 repair. At the end of the job, A1 presented us with additional charges they occurred and could care less about the damage to the irrigation system. No way I recommend them.

Very well. Prompt, professional, answered all of our questions. The finished driveway is gorgeous and such a pleasure to drive on! I know that sounds odd; but the old driveway was literally crumbling and sinking.

The company did well on all my important criteria. Price was competitive, able to do the work quickly, did the job, a medium size driveway + sidewalk replacement in one day. Minor snafu with a delay in the follow-up cleanup when a guy didn't show up but it was remedied quickly with one call to a surprised and apologetic job manager. Professional job, trustworthy. I'd use them again.

A-1 was excellent and professional in all respects. The estimator met with me when he said he would and gave me an accurate estimate. They had scheduled the work for the week before Christmas, but when an earlier date became available, asked if we could change the date. We agreed, and the crew arrived on time at 7 AM and started tearing out the existing driveway. By 3:30 PM, our existing driveway was torn out, supporting rocks were added, forms laid, concrete with fiber and rebar poured and smoothed. They also widened the walkway to the front door as we asked. The forms were removed two days later, and after 5 days (their recommendation), we were able to drive on it. We discovered a bonus: A-1 had smoothed out the end of our steep and short driveway so that it no longer scraped the bottom of our car! A-1 totally earned its reputation here on Angie's List!

We had a superb experience. Jeff Wirth was responsive by phone, by email, and in person. The price was comparable to competitors'. Jeff gave me a detailed explanation of the process, answered every question, made good suggestions (soft curb on elevated side to prevent erosion), and even returned with a crew to make small adjustments after completion of the work. The only reason I rated product good and not excellent is because I had to ask them to return to clean up some areas and open ends of some drainage channels- which Jeff acknowledged should have been done. They stood behind their work, no argument. Best of all, Jeff was knowledgeable about cautiously handling the roots of a nearby tree. The driveway looks great. We are happy customers.

Even though another bid was less than A-1, I was impressed with Jeff Wirth explaining in detail how the work would go. I went with A-1 because of him. The team arrived early morning just like Jeff said they would. They really worked together very well. Very efficient. The new driveway looks awesome. Actually, my neighbor two doors down referred me to A-1. Now the neighbor on the other side has contacted A-1, and has accepted their bid for a new driveway as well.

They responded back quickly and were there when they said they would be.

A roofing contractor who was recommended by Angie?s List and Kudzu.com and listed with the BBB put a new roof on my house. Their roll-off container broke my old driveway in three places and left the corner of my carport sitting on a broken piece of concrete. They claimed that the driveway was already broken, but it wasn?t, and it must happen so often with them that the fine print of their contract specifically freed them from any liability for damage from the roll-off container. READ THE FINE PRINT. They also left a damaged gutter that let water pour down the inside of my living room window. After screaming profanities at me on the phone, the owner went away. FOUR driveway replacement companies backed away from the job, saying the replacement of the corner foundation of the carport was too tricky for them and they couldn?t assume the liability. Jeff Wirth of A-1 Driveway Replacement Company, recommended by my neighbor across the street, saw the job as no challenge at all and offered to do it for a reasonable price. He and his team swept in, supported the carport roof, built a reinforced steel footer cage and replaced the section of driveway with a 4-inch thick slab reinforced by steel rebars, not wire. I worked as a rodbuster during college and recognized the #3 rods and the perfect placement of them. These guys knew what they were doing. They also gave the concrete slab perfect expansion joints and a center grade that allows rainwater to pour down the center of the driveway and not off the sides. The finish is perfect, and afterwards Jeff sent a pair of professional brick masons to replace the section of brick sidewalk that had to be removed for the concrete form, and their work gave the brick walkway a knife blade fit much better than before, under which they had laid a new bed of sand. It?s hard to imagine a better concrete contractor anywhere than A-1 Driveway Replacement Company. I highly recommend them and they have my permission to give you my number. J. F., Brookhaven.

I contacted Steve with about an estimate on my driveway. The next week his guys were there 7 am removing the existing concrete. By Tuesday had all the concrete poured. They were fair on their price. Did an excellent job. Extremely fast working. Highly recommend the company. When I had questions or concerns they answered promptly. Great experience.

When I had not heard from anyone in over a week, I called again and this time an answering machine came on. I left a message, reminding them I was still waiting to hear from the scheduler. It has now been more than two weeks and I still have heard from no one. We hired another contractor to do the job.

A1 did a great job. They worked fast and the workers were very polite. They did a great job on all of the concrete work and cleaned everything up afterward. Steve was in contact with us every step of the way.

I reminded him that his Ad includes Fulton County however he said 30349 is not an area he service. I asked why not and he had no reason. Again this is 2015 and we're still dealing with racism. If you live in South Fulton area don't bother to call this company as this neighborhood is apparently undesirable to his company.

My driveway was about 100 yds long, 20ft at the top and going to 10 wide. The appraiser come out and gave my a quote. I new it was a good price so I told him to go ahead. The professional way he handled the bid was great. About a week to 10 days later as he told me, he had a crew at my home at 7:30 AM. Thy tore all my old asphalt out smoothed the driveway and hauled all the old pavement away. Then then packed the drive and laid rebar and began pouring . The labors they sent were the most competent concrete layers I have seen. They said yes sir no sir and thank you at every question or statement made. The drive was completed and I now have a beautiful drive. I recommend this group to any one wanting a new drive.

I received several estimates before deciding on A-1 Driveway Replacement. They provided a good price and I was very comfortable working with their team to iron out the details of the job. The job went very smoothly and the results are great. Jeff was great to work with and was very concerned that the job was done well and that I was completely satisfied. We had excellent communication about the job. Jeff suggested some ideas to improve my plan for the job which made a lot of sense. The job started and finished on schedule. It took 2 days as it was a big job. One of Jeff's crews led by Bobby came out after the job to clean things up and did a great job including running my cable tv line through some conduits added under the driveway. We have a large driveway. They had to completely rip it up, haul it off and pour a completely new driveway. We would use them in future if needed.

Jeff came and inspected property and answered all the questions. He sent a quote the same day, breaking down all the expenses. I had quotes from about 5 other companies. Jeff beat them all. I even had a quote from another company that had more reviews and held a A rating. They were not professional at all !!!!! Jeff and his team came early as they said they would. They worked early in the morning till the work was completed. They even put extra soil next to the cement for my grass. They cleaned up after all work was completed and came out the next day and pressure washed my cul de sac. I was extremely happy with the driveway and how it looks. I am proud to have a new driveway versus the big crack that I had along with little ones. Yes the price isn't cheap, but no matter who you go with a driveway is expensive.
