We were very happy with Mr. Baker's professionalism, reliability, communication, and quality of work. He made our nearly 30-year-old brick porch/steps look brand new. We'd use him again for sure.

We were very pleased with Bill's work. He did the job himself and was professional and punctual. We have a garden wall that needs work and we will definitely have him do it.

Bill was great. Appears he lives less than 10 miles from our home. We throughly discussed completing the masonary work; 10ft arch, 2 9ft windows, 10ft end column and 8X10 fireplace. He did mention he is busy 3 weeks out but could complete my job in phases.

It was a tough job that took about a week in all. Bill took the time to do it right. When he couldn't make it for some reason, he always let us know.

It went fantastically. Bill is focused on every detail and takes great pride in his work. I couldn't say enough good things about him.

I had done it sloppily and he fixed it. He even did some pointing for me. I was very happy with what they did. I wanted a back step replaced and they stucco'd it instead and I would have preferred to have it replaced. Ultimately I'm going to have to replace it. It was a decision that they made in terms of the work that they were going to do. They do a good job, they showed up and they were easy to talk to. They explained it easily. They showed up and did the work. I probably wouldn't use them because I know someone else that does the work. I used them because of the price. It was a special deal.

The fireplace was seriously damaged when, years ago, a wood-burning insert was installed. When the insert was removed so gas logs could be installed, the interior of the fireplace had to be repaired. Bill Baker very carefully replaced all the damaged bricks. The new bricks are light and the existing bricks are black with creosote. He arranged light and dark bricks in a symmetrical fashion to make the repaired fireplace not only functional but good looking. We are very pleased with the result.

Great communication, easy to work with. Bill arrived when he said he would...worked long days and got our project done without mess or hassle.

The job was enabled by an Angie's List Deal in 2013. Before the work could be done, the weather became too cold and also Bill relocated from PA to KY, which complicated matters. It was to Bill's credit that he elected to honor the PA Deals, by making several working visits back to PA. Ultimately, the work was performed and it was of very high quality. At this point, PA's loss is KY's gain. I would gladly use Bill for other larger jobs, based on our positive experience.

We found Bill through Angie's List, and he came out to fix a badly damaged cement porch railing (the kind you could sit on). We had another bid on this work, and went with Bill. His work was excellent. Very smooth, very professional, and even in size and shape with the railing right next to it. He took the time to do it well, and it is obvious that he takes pride in his work. I would definitely work with Bill again!

Bill got busy and had some family issues and could not perform the work. He will work with me on a full refund.

I have used Bill's Masonry Service in the past. I had Bill repair work that someone else had done in the past . He quoted me a price that was very reasonable. The work was done very quickly and it looked great when Bill finished. I was happy to pay the quoted price but because the work went easier than Bill initially thought he reduced the cost..Really....I highly recommend Bill's Masonry Service.

The service was horrible. The day he completed the project I had to call him back because the steps were fixed incorrectly. You tripped on the steps because they were not level or spaced correctly between steps. I called the service provider. He finally came out when I threated him with a lawsuit. He came in raised the second step up a few inches and that was complete. He only fixed the second step but did not fix the third step which was loose, never completed the project. Today someone stepped on the step that he repaired and the flagstone came off of the step. The person fell and was injured. I left him a message this morning but have not heard back from him.

Bill had to install a concrete footer 3' deep for the steps. He hit water at about 2' (we have a very high water table). Bill had to dig by hand due to the location of the job, in the freezing cold.. He got in the footer so that work did not stop over the winter. It was a miserable part of the job but he had no complaints! Once the footer was in, he made the stone steps, walls and rebuilt the walkway & steps to the porch. We are incredibly impressed the beauty of the stone work and get lots of compliments. I just wish it were in a more public area of the property! Bill did a nice job on all aspects of the project. He found materials to augment what we had available on site and put together some beautiful stone walls and levels. The project really was difficult in many ways. Bill is such a nice person to work with - he loves his work and we enjoyed having him on our property every day he was here.

Bill re-pointed a lot of the mortar on my garage and some on the house as well. He matched the existed mortar color so well that I had trouble figuring out just what he had done. He communicate really well when he was delayed a bit in coming. It was a great experience!

Bill first came and looked at our retaining wall in mid September. At that time he suggested what could be done to rebuild the stone so water would not crack the masonry. He had many jobs to do and was able to fit us in at the end of October. He came the last Saturday in October, dismantled the retaining wall, removed the old cinder block behind the stone façade and laid a concrete footer. That was allowed to set for four days. He returned on Wednesday, rebuilt the cinder blocks and the stone façade, put landscape fabric and a perforated pipe behind the cinder blocks to drain rainwater away from the wall. The following day he did finishing work on the mortar and top of the wall. At all times, he was professional and answered innumerable questions about the work being done. We are very pleased with the appearance and the quality of the work done. He is truly a master of his trade.

Very professional. Went above and beyond to do the work. Answered all the questions I had, wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the work.

He recommended not patching the existing work. I agreed to removing the existing joints and replacing it all. I am satisfied with the end result. I wish I had the option to upload a picture to show off his work!

He did the job in pieces to avoid weather problems and to allow things to dry. Called before he arrived and finished within the week.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was very good. I was very happy and pleased with his work. I had no problems. I paid a few dollars more for extra materials. It was $37 more. He was here for about 6 hours. The price was very reasonable. I was expecting to pay much, much more for it. He always got back to me. He was very professional.

Bill came to my house to inspect the work nneded on the Sat following my purchase of the 3 hour $111.00 offer online. I explained that I simply needed some flagstones reset and some dressing up of the concrete joints. He then said he would call me the next day with an estimate. I didn't comment although I thought he was using the online offer that I bought as a lead souce to sell a bigger job. He never called me with an estimate, I waited a week and called him. He said he was so busy that he was booked into November. I told him that was unacceptable since I only wanted to have him do his 3 hour service. He then agreed to come to my house on a Sunday two weeks later. He showed up and I pointed out the two loose flagstones on my walk. Then I left to do a couple of errands.I returned a little over an hour later and Bill was gone. He had started the reset on the two flagstones, but they were not finished, I texted him and asked what was up? He texted back they he intended to return, which he did on Oct. 2. for approx 1 hour. He finished the two flagstones and did nothing else that I had discussed with him previously. His total time on the job was short of 2 hours. I am not satisfied with his performance, I paid $55.50 each for reseting two medium sized flagstones,

He did the work in 2 stages. First was the removal and rebuild of the wall. This took 2 days, one day to rip off and the second day it was once again water tight. He had some other work already in progress, that and a lot of rain days before he came back for the stone work. The stone went up in one day. He came back for some minor punch work after that but only for cleanup and some caulk. In all it was about 3 weeks time.
