Description of Work: The team at Magnolia perform a weekly mowing and cleanup on my yard including weeding beds and trimming shrubs. The crew has been a pleasure to deal with including checking with me each week, the day before they come out to see if I have any special needs and let me know they will be in the yard. |I also use their lawn treatment service and aeration.

Description of Work: I hired them last year after I had to replace my back yard because my previous service was not addressing issues as they arose; what I call "spray and sprint"; i.e., putting chemicals down and completely ignoring the issue and not making suggestions to resolve them. | |So I hired Magnolia. I interviewed three companies and settled on them because I told them that I needed a service that was actually paying attention to the yard, and would discuss issues with me as they arose. They assured me that was the way they do business. Turns out it was not. | |I HAD one of the nicest, thickest zoysia front lawns in the neighborhood. I don't know what they did or didn't do, but now it's thin (which has never happened before), and has bare patches (which has never happened before), and has orange and yellow discolored spots (which has never happened before). I had to bring an issue to their attention in the back yard about a month ago; which they should have brought to my attention. So now this issue has developed in the front and you know what? Not a single word from them. No notice. No notification. No discussion. No suggestions to resolve. I don't even think they've payed any attention to it. So that was the last straw... | |I cancelled my service last week and hired someone else, who immediately identified several issues, including a fungus, pest and made suggestions on changing watering habits. I've had more conversation with this new guy in the last week about what's going on with my lawn; than I had with Magnolia the entire year. And the new guy is calling me... | |At Magnolia, then were nice enough folks, but all they do is put their chemicals down and leave. If you want a company that is interested in what's actually going on with your lawn, the may not be the right company for you.

Description of Work: They provide regular maintenance on our lawn including fertilizing and pine straw. We also had them do an outdoor lighting system for us that makes us proud. All very professionally done and timely.

Description of Work: I contacted 3 different services for lawn care (fertilization, weed control and potential mowing). Only Magnolia showed up as promised for a quote, after emailing that they would send over a rep in a couple of days. One service did not even reply and the other called about a week later, but I had already given the job to Magnolia. As far as the treatments go, will have to be seen. I have no reason to doubt it in view of the good reviews. Their customer service though was prompt and professional, as it should be. As for the company that didn't even bother, why are you here, you're wasting our time and energy.

Description of Work: Magnolia Lawn has taken over the care of my yard. All mowing, blowing, pruning, edging, chemical treatments and you name it! My yard hasn't looked this good in years. They are professional and courteous. They address any concerns immediately. Their staff is friendly and takes great care of my outdoor living areas. I am a happy happy customer.

Description of Work: I had my lawn aerated but I do not have a lawn service with Magnolia. The representative was very professional. He was sure to ask about any sprinkler systems I have to ensure they avoided them. The service was done onschedule. I would definitely use them again!!

Description of Work: Got a free estimate for a lawn weed control/ Fertilization service, were very prompt and very professional unlike the other ones I had contacted. First service is this week so will update my review after that.

Description of Work: I sent a message via Angie's List on 6/15. I heard nothing back until 6/19 when I called the business to follow up. I was told that someone would be out to leave info or give a quote that day or the next day. Nothing until 6/24 when the sales guy finally shows up and says "yeah you called Thursday and yesterday was Monday so I was off." I guess that's relevant because he's the only sales guy they have?? I sent the guy away because I had already given the business to someone else who showed up promptly and did the work. I heard from the owner, but it just seemed to be just excuses so I ceased communication.

Description of Work: Pro: 1. I requested for a quote. The person called ahead and showed up on time. The quote was broken in multiple parts.I.e., separate price for spraying weed control, cutting lawn and for taking care of bushes etc. |2. The person who came for spraying the lawn for weed control was very through. He spent a lot of time spraying all corners of the lawn. |3. The first time cutting the lawn for a specific day. Two guys came and started cutting and edging the lawn. They took almost 2 hours to get the job done. |Con:1. I has specifically asked the person who was working with weed blower after the cutting was done to blow out all the fallen leaves. He said OK. I went around with him specifically pointing to the areas that needed cleaning. They finished in another 20 minutes. When they left, I went around to see the job. The dead leaves were left behind and not cleaned. I will be calling the owner to discuss this before they come back again. Before leaving one of the guys said he was just hired and was new to this type of job.(Minor concern). |2. They had brought a push mower (non commercial). This left lines on the lawn. The past cutters brought a large sit and ride mower with a very large cutting deck. The cutting looked even. Wonder if this would make a difference. Once again meeting with the owner may solve this problem. |3. There were large patches due to the walk behind mower was turned around on the grass. | |I will talk to the owner personally and make sure all my concerns are addressed. I am sure this company really cares for their customers and reputation as one of the best in the business.

Description of Work: THEY WERE AT MY HOUSE THE DAY AFTER I SUBMITTED AN REQUEST ON THEIR WEB SITE FOR AN ESTIMATE FOR FERTILIZING/WEED KILLING. THE ESTIMATE WAS VERY DETAILED AND COMPETITIVE. ($37.95 IS PER APPLICATION PRICE). ONCE I AGREED OVER THE PHONE TO HIRE THEIR SERVICE, THEY WERE AT MY HOUSE WITHIN TWO DAYS FOR THE FIRST APPLICATION OF THE 2005 SEASON.
