Another excellent report for Aaron Plumbing, and they deserve it. Jim installed a hot water heater for us on 11/22/11 and did an excellent job. He had given us an estimate several days earlier (this was not an emergency job) and we called him back to do the installation. Great work, everything was cleaned up and in good order when he left, and -- the job was completed exactly per the estimate, down to the penney -- no add-ons for tax, parts, etc. This is a very high quality company and their reputation is well deserved.

My gas heater started dripping water and leaking gas and I called the Atlanta Gas and 911. After taking care of that I called Aaron Plumbing and they came out the same day ( Saturday) which was great and gave me a quote. The Technician, Keith Dewberry MP 208586 was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful which was really apprciated since it was a very stressful day. Because I needed a unit with a power vent the water heater was not available until Monday but he did inform me of other options that were available sooner. I choose to wait until Monday which was not a big deal and I still had gas for my heat but just not for hot water. Keith arrived with the new unit on time and started working right away and got it installed in a timely manner. He took the time to explain everything to me which was great and I was thrilled to have the episode behind me. I will definitely use Aaron Plumbing again and specifically request Keith.
Description of Work: Replaced 50 gallon natural gas power vent water heater in garage; installed expansion tank to bring up to code; replaced flexible gas connector.

This is the second time I've called Aaron's for issues and I continue to be impressed with the company and the service personnel. Everyone I deal with at Aaron's is great and I wouldn't even consider using anyone else for my plumbing needs. I recommend them to everyone. Jim could have easily diagnosed a major problem, but his truthfulness and honesty were very much appreciated.
Description of Work: There was a leak in the garage coming from the finished drywall ceiling. We were concerned that it was either a pipe in the wall or the main bathrooms shower pan which would have been very costly to fix. Jim Whatley came out and really did a fantastic job of analyzing where the leak could be coming from. Finally, he determined it was coming from a loose shower head, something that he easily fixed and only charged me the service charge.

My hot water heater shutdown and displayed a "dangerous fumes detected" code. It happened on a Saturday, the day before I had to leave town on a business trip. I called Aaron Plumbing and was given a next-day appointment, which my wife would have to handle by herself. They showed up on time, reset the unit and, after some discussion with my wife, determined that the cause was fumes from painting that occurred in the basement area a few days prior. The water heater is a high efficiency unit and they tend to be touchy that way. Another impressive thing about this company, beyond prompt service and good work. On my initial call the receptionist mistakenly quoted a free water heater analysis when she meant a free estimate. After getting the bill ($175), which included a $90 technical analysis charge (due to it being a techy high efficiency type water heater), I called to inquire (not complain...I was fine with the bill but curious about the billing). She explained the error to me and I let it go at that. But then the owner called me back later and stated that he intended to make good on the original quote. Sure enough, a week or so later I received a refund check in the mail for $90.
Description of Work: Hot water heater reset required after shutdown due to sensing of fumes from painting performed in basement area.

We called Aaron Plumbing for an estimate and a comprehensive inspection as we were in need of extensive repairs on the plumbing in 3 buildings on our property. Brian Sloggy (Master Plumber) arrived promptly, the very next day and conducted a thorough, and informative inspection, on all systems and fixtures, followed by a clearly written precise estimate. This estimate was not the cheapest we acquired, however it was the most complete, including all of the concerns we had, with no unnecessary additions or pushy sales tactics. We called (very friendly) Bianca at the office, to accept their estimate who promptly scheduled our appointment. Brian called first, arrived when expected, & began the repairs. He worked a long hard day (right through lunch). He had a pleasant attitude the whole time, Even my ankle nipping pooches liked him. When Brian departed, his work areas were cleaner then when he had arrived. Now I know that toilets aren't makeshift rocking chairs and they need to be shimmed to the proper height, properly placed on the stub out, & neatly caulked. Oh and, when I turn on the hose spigot to water the grass, I'm not supposed to get a shower. Brian taught me a lot about proper plumbing techniques, but more so, he gave us a prime example of good old fashioned honor, and an excellent demonstration of genuine work ethics. Brian and Aaron Plumbing can be proud of a job well done. We fully intend to call on Aaron Plumbing again to install new fixtures, when we begin renovations of the main house & brace 2 shower enclosures that were also improperly installed. Thank god there are still some who believe in quality workmanship. Lets put the icing on the cake here. The bill I had to pay was LESS then the estimate. That was a new experience too.
Description of Work: Replace toilet in shop/garage, Replace 2 leaking hose bibs on exterior of guest house, Lift & reset 3 rocking toilets in guest house, Tighten tanks, & bowls on 5 toilets in guest house & main house, Repair & shim toilet in guest house laundry room, Unclog drain in upper guest house master bathroom

This was an amazing experience with Aaron Plumbing. Tim answered my emergency call at 9am on Sunday morning and arrived at my house by 11am that same day. My toilet had overflowed after doing a load of washing the night before. I guessed that it might be the septic tank so I wanted a plumbing company that could also handle septic tank issues. Tim arrived with all of the necessary equipment and worked quickly and efficiently. Now, it is 5:15pm as I'm writing this and Tim is back filling the trench. I can't thank him enough and my septic tank is back in business!
Description of Work: Located the septic tank, pumped the tank, replaced broken cast iron piping, flushed the piping, back filled the trench.

Our only issue was price -- if you have time, make sure you competitively bid, which we knew but didn't have time to do so as we were headed out of town the following day. The office was very professional, scheduled a prompt appointment and technician very polite and knowledgable and repair was performed same day. Their prices are high. We spoke with a second plumber we had contacted the following week adn they would have charged $500 less for the same job.

We called Aaron Plumbing on September 10th to schedule an appointment to replace a sewer injection pump. Their technician, Jim W., was able to come in the morning of September 12th. Jim explained the procedure, and any possible problems that may occur, and provided a written estimate. He protected the working area, replaced the pump, and cleaned up after he completed the work. Process was very smooth, no issues. Jim was very pleasant and professional. I gave Jim and Aaron Plumbing an "A" for the job they did and I will certainly give them a call whenever I need a plumber.

Jack came out a few days before and gave us an estimate of the job. He told us what we need to do before he came back in order for him to complete the job. He also gave us some tips/advice on what to do if we wanted to replace the fixtures before the job started. We didn't realize how "stuck" you can be with the fixtures after a remodel. The parts are not universal. Jack was on time, in fact, my husband was a few minutes late and he waited. That is huge! The job took the time he estimated, the estimate was the price we paid and they honored the $25 Angie's coupon. Aaron Plumbing is now our plumber of choice!
Description of Work: We were replacing a tub/shower with a walk in shower. Prior to tile work beginning we had to have the tub drain relocated to the center of the floor and the tub water dial moved up to shower level.

I had called Aaron Plumbing to replace a toilet kit in a full bathroom upstairs. As I was describing another issue with the water pressure, Brian Sloggy (master plumber) asked to check a couple of things that may be causing the sound. To our horrible surprise, out safety valve for out hot water heater was no longer functioning, and the pressure valve from the house water main was not working either! We had definite problems just waiting to happen at any time, and had no idea. Brian was great! He explained all of the problems and implications, and discussed the cost of the services before hand. Brian was great in that he did not in the least act like he was pressured for time to get to another job! We will always use Aaron's for future plumbing work. I just called yesterday afternoon to make an appt., and Brian was at our house by 9:20 the next morning. Definite two thumbs up for Brian and Aaron Plumbing!!

Dave Psomas, master plumber w/ Aaron Plumbing, in a matter of a few hours eliminated 5 items from our gotta-get-it-done weekend list that never quite gets done. Not only did he perform the above work, he came up with a method of ensuring we could drain a pipe leading to one of the faucets which has had an ongoing issue, breaking nearly every other winter. The faucet is several feet higher than the feeder line - Dave was the only plumber to point out that it results in the pipe never completely draining before we winterize it with a foam cap. Even foam pipe wrap hadn't resolved the issue. He installed a valve at the bottom of the pipe, inside the utility cavity in the basement, which will enable us to fully drain the line and eliminate further drywall repairs. His assessed each item on the list and provided a fair estimate - which matched the final charge. Becoming comfortable with his skill and efficiency in knocking out the issues we'd "saved up", we had him perform a full-house plumbing evaluation. We elected to replace the water pressure contol valve at the same time as it was showing its age . . . and ,so as to eliminate one more future item from that weekend list. The other items Dave pointed out were completely in line with the age of the equipment; he was up-front about remaining life in the equipment, not pushing repairs not yet required. We now have a go-to plumber to share that gotta-get-it done list. The other reviews of Aaron Plumbing were absolutely on target.
Description of Work: Repaired toilet issue that was causing pipes to rattle; outdoor faucet leaks - one minor, other requiring replacement of pipe that repeatedly bursts in cold weather; resolved small leak in kitchen faucet; and last but not least, finished DIY attempted replacement of toilet flush components

Woke up to a kitchen floor covered in water from the water heater. I found Aaron's on Angie's List and called. The sent someone out in just a couple of hours. He (soory I'm lousy with names) switched out the thermal regulator (I think that's what it's called). I was able to get that done and still go to work. If I need a plumber again I will call them. Just a side note, the gentleman that repaired our waterheater was extremely nice and professional.

It was great hearing that our water heater was in great shape. Thomas also explained how to keep an eye on the heater and what to look for to know when it is ready to be replaced. I appreciated the advice as well as not getting sold a new water heater right now. All in all, dealing with Aaron's was a great experience!!

The entire experience went great and I would recommend both Aaron and Chris to anyone again!
Description of Work: Chris was very knowledgable about his craft. He had to cut 2 holes in our drywall in the laundry room and found that the copper pipe had a pinhole leak which was causing water to come down the wall and out into the hallway. He gave me a quote and went right to working fixing the leak. I then mentioned that I wanted the $49 inspection deal and so I went online purchased it and he first flushed the hot water heater and then checked all the faucets etc. in the house. He said that the water regulator needs to be replaced and explained that to get to it they would have to move the water heater. He recommended replacing that while they were going to have to pull it out anyway and it is 8 years old. I liked Chris because he was honest, quoted from the book, and was very personable. I would rate his service A plus! Carol

Ask for Thomas. Punctual, courteous, thorough and paid attention to the small stuff. He left the work area spotless and was good with our sometimes obnoxious dog. I've had many plumbers in my homes over the past 25 years and this is one guy I'm looking to stick with whether he works for Aaron Plumbing or someone else. (And no, I'm not related!) I would have preferred to have done this repair myself as I am quite handy and willing to get my hands dirty. It had all the signs of a faulty thermocouple, but the proprietary thermocouple was not easily replaceable. Since it was still under warranty I decided to bite the bullet and call a plumber to fix it. I contented myself with just cleaning out the rust that had fallen onto the burner- far more than I thought should have been there in so short a time. We called Aaron Plumbing and the service was perfect from the very first words. Scheduling was easy and very considerate of our difficult schedule. (They were the second plumber I called - the first acted as though our window of availability was an imposition so I chose not to bother them with my problem.) When the appointment window time arrived I received a call from the plumber, Thomas, telling me he was a few minutes away. When he got there he examined the water heater, asked me a few questions about what I had done and took it from there. He got a better airflow for the carbon monoxide to vent, solving the rust issue, then ran tests to figure out what the problem was. Now I need to find an electrician I respect as much as I do Thomas. He is one of those guys who takes pride in doing the little things right.
Description of Work: Our water heater stopped working only 3 years after the date of manufacture. It is an 50 gallon A.O. Smith PowerMax, now notorious for poor quality, early failure and customer non-service from the manufacturer. Thomas diagnosed problem(s), contacted manufacturer and replaced gas regulator - a part that should not have failed.

The house is only 6 years old and (what I consider) weird sounds and things were happening at the toilets and the icemaker. The furtherest away from source toilets would not stop flushing at times, lose water from the bowl, or make loud noises upon completing filling at times and other times they would apprear normal. The problem has still not been solved after 4 visits and nearly $1000. I give up using this company!! I did use the company again for a kitchen Delta faucet rebuild which appears to be successful.
Description of Work: I have used this company a total of 4 times - The first visit was on 4-21-11. The plumber did the following: 3-minor tank rebuilds of toilets including new vill valve and flush valve seals, a type 2 faucet rebuid including hot and cold cartritdges with sects and springs, in master bath, tighted the packing on 2 hose bib valves, and turned handle of outsice faucet. The cost of this visit was $552. I had to recall them a 2nd time to come back as the toilets continued to be problematic. The plumber came back promptly on 6-29-11 at no charge and adjusted the pressure regular and removed debris from one of the fill tanks. I had to recall then a 3rd time as the toilet problem was not solved. The plumber came back promptly on 8-3-2012, and replaced a 3/4 pressure regulator at the water heater area and performed a single family residential drain down. The total cost of this visit was $377. All toilets continued to lose water, so I bought and replaced the flappers which solve one toilet problem and I continue to have the same problems in 2 of the toilets. After 3 times and nearly $900, I have decided that I will try a new company to see what they can do with the toilet problems as this company has not been successful. The last time I used the company, I asked for a different plumber, this plumber rebuilt a Delta kitchen faucet using parts supplied by the Delta faucet company which (my opinion) he was not happy doing. The cost of this visit was $136. The installation seems to be successful.

They were outstanding. They did all kinds of things. I had things that were going to be extremely serious like water leaks and all kinds of things but they caught them in time. They are very knowledgeable, thorough and personable. I last used them just a week or two ago. They were costly because they had to replace some valves in the garage and the pressure gauge was registering too high. The valves that turns off all the water to the house had to be replaced. I know plumbers are very expensive but they were moderate.

I thought the cost to cut out the drywall and diagnose was a bit high, but the service was good.
Description of Work: Called to diagnose a leak over 1st floor ceiling. Brian was the tech, and very professional. A section of drywall was removed from the ceiling. The area was quite complex with plumbing from the sink, shower, and toilet. After testing all the system, they concluded that the leak was probably caused by runoff from a tub/shower, leaking behind the baseboard floor. We are keeping an eye on it, but nothing to repair at this time.

What a GREAT company. They will be the ONLY plumbing company we ever use in the future. Check out my other reviews to see that I am fair in what I write, and don't just instantly give A's to every provider. Aaron Plumbing deserves an A+++!
Description of Work: This visit was just to determine the nature of two problems. TOILET. Chris, our technician, immediately knew that the part we needed for our 1976 toilet was going to have to be ordered. He never even tried to see us a new toilet - which completely shocked us. He was 100% confident on what needed to be done and gave us a quote, and ordered the part. LEAKING PIPE. We also had a section of pipe that was leaking. We though the leak was in one section: turned out in another section it was completely broke in half. Gave us an estimate for that as well, along with instructions on how to keep the pipe better protected in winter. While we haven't started the official work, once we do we will come back into this report and enter a price.
