Overall I was very pleased with my experience and would not hesitate to hire them again.
Description of Work: I spoke with several companies to get an estamate to replace our main water line and irrigation line. Aaron Plumbing was very professional, prompt, and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I chose Aaron Plumbing because I felt the most comfortable with them and some of the other companies I spoke with were rude, condescending, and had no clue about what they were doing.

From the initial phone call to the complete repair, the experience with Aaron's Plumbing was top-notch. Bianca in the office was knowledgable and asked pertinent questions to help her understand my problem and how to approach the scheduling of a technician for a review of the work. They were extremely flexible with the schedule - willing to meet me on a Friday afternoon for an estimate. As promised, Rob called on the day of the service to confirm the appointment - he was running ahead of schedule and was able to arrive promptly. First thing he did was ask me to describe the problem - the symptoms I was experiencing and any troubleshooting I'd performed or thoughts I might have. Then he did his own analysis, testing the pressure at the hose bibs and surveying the work that had been done on the initial PRV installation approximately 7 years ago. On a cursory review, he could confirm that most of the symptoms I had been experiencing (water hammer, frequent toilet "guts" replacements, spitting faucets) could be attributed to water pressure that was about twice the recommended reading. He also confirmed that inaction would result in some expensive repairs and replacements of major appliances before their time. Everything he told me seemed to jibe with what I had already been researching. He provided a verbal cost and time estimate, which he encouraged me to get 2nd opinions on. Additionally, he was able to review the paperwork/receipts associated with the previous PRV and water heater replacement and provide some context. Rob was able to schedule the work within just a few days, and again was responsive to my scheduling needs; he was understanding when I had to call him back and push the time later. Once he squeezed under my stairs and got in front of the work, he realized that the flow of water was "opposite" from what he is used to working with. But within minutes, he had come up with a solution and worked efficiently to cut the right pipes and fittings. All the parts fit together like puzzle pieces! He didn't seem to mind that I was curious and wanted to watch the process and was more than happy to answer my questions. He showed me the blown seals in the old PRV and pointed out the precarious soldering job that was holding the whole thing together. He also pointed out the upgraded features of the new valve and of the new "solder-less" fittings. Even with the unexpected complications, Rob was done and cleaned up and writing up the invoice in an hour! Great experience with Aaron's! Rob is a true craftsman!

Aaron Plumbing Aaron was called on April 3, 2013 due a major sewer line backup. The backup relieved itself through the commode doing extensive damage throughout the entire lower floor. The plumber (Chris) initially ran a snake through the commode to free the line then used a camera to locate the problem which he thought to be due roots in the line. Initial cost for work described was $395. The plumber then gave me an estimate for an additional $1095 to "hand dig" an area approximately 4 ft deep by some 4 ft long by 2 ft wide which he said was necessary to expose and repair the line. This would include repairing a portion of the sewer line that had shifted and the installation of a clean out. The plumber estimated the job would take 1 day. The plumber returned on April 16, 2013 due my schedule requirements to make all necessary repairs. But he ran into problems with roots and locating all problem areas which required much more digging than planned and additional repairs. Chris also installed a "clean out" which was included in the estimate. The job was completed on 4/18/2013. There were two areas causing the blockage: The major problem appears to have been caused by tree and/or shrub roots. The blockage itself was some 10 inches long by about 4 to 5 inches in diameter. The second problem was caused by a "shift" in the sewer lines location at a "joint"area. An additional area of interest is that all four townhouse units in my building tie into a common line to the street and mine was the last to be connected. All this extra work took an additional day to complete. Now the good news.. The plumber stuck to his original estimate of $1095 for the digging and repair even though the job took twice as long as had been estimated. I can assure you that Chris was one VERY tired plumber at the end of the day. Aaron Plumbing deserves an A+++ for all they did on my behalf.. not many companies these days would have done that!
Description of Work: Description of work performed: Plumber "snaked" the sewer line through the commode to free the line then Used a camera and special instrument to physically locate the problem area.

They were really great and I was happy with their service, pricing and everything. Their communication was great and the price was not so high at all. It was perfect. After I did my research, I called them the same day and they came the next day. I would surely use them again.
Description of Work: I used Aaron Plumbing about two months ago. They did several things, they checked out my grinder in the kitchen and they had to replace it and also little repairs here and there on water faucets around the house.

It all started when my 15-year-old woke me up at midnight last night. He'd gone down to the basement to grab a book and found wet carpet, a wet floor, and a strong sewage odor. Turned out our 1967 cast iron drainage pipe that ran along the basement ceiling was leaking sewage water, which had soaked the immediate area and also gone underneath two walls and spread into other parts of the basement. My husband and I immediately grabbed a bucket and towels and started what we could do in terms of damage control. I then got on Angie's list and started looking up plumbers. Around 12:30 a.m., I sent a desperate e-mail to Aaron Plumbing and one other plumber on Angie's list and asked them to contact me any time after 6 a.m. today. Aaron was the first plumber to call back, and the girl who called was understanding and helpful. She told me someone would be at our house between 9 and 12 today. A bit later, the other plumber called. He was also extremely helpful, but when I described our problem (water dripping from a cast iron pipe), he suggested that we first have someone snake the line to check for a back-up before having him come out. He gave me the name and number of someone to call, and I was just about to call them when Chris (from Aaron Plumbing) called me to say he would be at my house in about 10 minutes. I figured I'd see what Chris found before calling the other guy over to snake our line. Good thing I waited--Chris immediately found a hole in the pipe and noted that the area around it was "soft" from corrosion. He pointed out that the pipe was in a challenging location (had duct work running all around it and was also at the intersection of two pipes), so I braced for the worst. I figured he was going to quote me at least $1,500 due to the difficult access, and I also figured he'd tell me that the whole pipe needed replacing. So, I was relieved when he instead told me that he could cut open the iron pipe and replace the corroded area with PVC for a cost of $609.Chris said that he had regular piping on him, but that he didn't have the type of pipe required to replace the intersection, so he headed for the store and returned within the hour. Long story shorter--Chris did an excellent job of replacing the damaged pipe, and given how labor intensive and messy the work was for him, I can't' complain about the cost. While he was here (the job took several hours), Chris called a water remediation guy who came out and inspected the damage at no charge. The guy showed me where the water line was underneath the carpet and walked me through the process of sanitizing and drying the areas ourselves. He explained the pros and cons of filing with insurance, and told us that if we decided to do the job ourselves, he'd be happy to give us advice at no charge and even to come check after we'd finished (again, at no charge) to ensure we'd gotten all the water out of the wood, etc. Wow! I give Aaron Plumbing an A+ for responsiveness, price, and professionalism and will definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Repaired leak in basement sewage drainpipe. This was not easy, as the pipe was in a tricky location, was 1960s cast iron, was right at an intersection, and was surrounded by heating ducts. Chris cut around the damaged section of pipe and replaced it with PVC.

It took about 6 hours to install everything and Chris was professional thoughout the experience. He reduced the costs where ever possible and offered logical alternatives to our requests. We could not have asked for better service and professionalism. I highly recommend Aaron plumbing to anyone in the Gwinnett county area. I can't speak for the Marietta office but if Chris is any indication of their plumbers they will be excellent.
Description of Work: I called Aaron Plumbing, listed in Angie's list and can set up an appointment on line or by phone, on Saturday 4/13/2013 and set up an appointment for Monday the 15th. Chris was dispatched and was prompt and called my wife ahead of time to let us know he was on the way. We had asked for estimates for shower faucet replacement, kitchen faucet replacement, disposal replacement, toilet replacement and outside faucet repair. Chris worked with my wife and reduced the cost by offering to repair the shower faucet, rebuild the toilet (older house and plumbing may be a problem with a new toilet design) and repaired the outside faucet. We had a kitchen faucet set so he removed and installed it (huge problems with the old fixture connections as the faucet was 28 years old). Had some issues with the disposal and had to reinstall it due to a leaky seal but didn't charge us labor for that. Was very up front with my wife (who called me at work several times to verify any changes).

Overall outstanding experience. See above.
Description of Work: An upstairs tub/shower would occasionally leak onto the ceiling in our kitchen. After arriving on time, the licensed plumber assessed the situation and recommended that the first step in resolving the problem could be as simple as additional caulking around the tub's faucet. He said I could do it at no cost or he could do it for $75. Being a bit handy, I did the caulking myself and problem solved!! Aaron didn't even charge us a service fee.

They wound up telling me I needed something else and quoted me a price that was the same exact price as the dip tube, which was covered by the manufacture. When I investigated this, I found out that their quote was much more expensive. They were also using unlicensed employees. I just asked for an apology, but they refused. I had to get state regulatory boards involved and I would never use this company again!

The Plumber seemed very knowledgeable and we believe pinpointed where the leak could possibly be. Unless we remove the drywall and redo our shower we won't be certain. I felt he was very honest and was not trying to find the most expensive way to solve our problem. Will use them again when we decide what we are going to do.

Was very impressed with most everything from the inital phone call to the service technician and his service. They called prior to their arrival, were very prompt & informative. We called on Friday for an estimate and were able to get a Monday morning appointment with Rob. He is a master plumber so was able to quickly identify what needed to be done and give us recommendations about size and type of water heater and differences among brands. He answered questions about maintenance as well as issues that had been raised by another company that had given us an estimate -- such as whether to switch to an electric water heater, whether to relocate it from the house to the garage, etc. He was very knowledgeable about installation and operation as well as costs of various options. We chose a 50-gallon gas water heater with a 10-year warranty, and Rob installed it within several days. He also replaced the overflow tank and changed the copper gas line to a flex line to bring it up to current code. To prolong the efficiency and life of the new water heater, he took the time to show us how to drain the water tank (annual maintenance). He protected the washer and dryer while he worked and left the area cleaner than when he arrived. The cost of the new water heater was a little higher than we had expected, but we received a discount for having an annual service agreement with Aaron Plumbing and also used a $30 Angies List coupon.

Called for an appt due to sewage smell in our powder room. Plumber not only showed up at appt time, but called just prior to reconfirm. Louie was our plumber from Aaron's and he checked every drain in the house, climbed in our attic, and sniffed out the problem....literally. We had previously had the toilet reset by another plumber because we thought that was the source of the smell, but Louie determined that it was a drain in the powder room. He cleaned the drain, recommended a safe way to keep it clean in the future, and we have not had the smell since. He was like a detective. I would recommend him specifically when you have a mystery problem. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and thourough.
Description of Work: We had a mystery sewer smell in our powder room that was making the whole first floor smell. I called a different plumber first that was recommended by our realtor, but they couldn't see us for two days. I checked Angie's List and liked the reviews I saw for Aaron Plumbing. They were able to schedule service for the following morning. Chris called 30 minutes prior to his arrival, which I greatly appreciated. He took his time and listened to my explanation of our issues. Chris was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He understood that we were in both a time crunch as well as a money crunch. He also didn't try to up-sell us for anything, and he fixed the leak in the least invasive way, using his expertise to narrow down the problem quickly and efficiently. I appreciated his honest approach and his ethics! He also checked out another leak point in our basement -- and Chris was actually able to link it to our original leak! He also took a look at our newly installed garbage disposal unit, as well as a few other minor issues around the house. I would certainly use Chris and Aaron Plumbing again when needed. Great work!
