Scotty's responded quickly and professionally, accommodating my work schedule. All work was completed within 24 hours - just in time for the next cold snap! I will call them for all future HVAC issues.

They got there when scheduled. They didn't give me the standard 2-3 hour window. They gave me a time and were very punctual. Service was quick and they were in and out in about 20-30 minutes. Everything was fine with my system. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. I will use Scotty's HVAC again.

I initially called this company because our AC went out last August. They sent a representative over quickly, and he determined the problem was with our compressor. The technician tried to repair it - for over 1/2 hour easily, but couldn't and recommended a new unit. Our old unit was 23 years old. He did not charge me for the visit, because - and this is from the technician, "I did fix anything, so you don't owe me anything". Most service providers charge me just for coming out. There was no pressure and the technician provided an estimate for a new unit - he suggested we just replace the AC, but we decided to replace both the AC and the Furnace due to the age of both. Glad we did with the temperatures we experienced this winter. Compared with other service providers, Scotty's stood out. Prompt, professional service. I waited several months to write this review as sometimes, once a new unit is installed the service deteriorates, but I had a good experience with the tech that came out to do my semi annual maintenance.

Joey arrived on time for a spring checkup of the HVAC system. He was very professional. He checked the filters, the amp draw, the capacitors and the freon pressures. He washed the condensing unit. He found only one item that needed attention: the variable-speed air handler was not set to come on high when needed. He set it properly. Everything else checked out fine.

I have used Scotty's on several occasions. They are easy to deal with, knowledgeable, honest, and do not attempt to sell you unnecessary parts or service work. I have been a builder since 1984, and Scotty's is in the top 5 of all businesses that I have dealt with. I would highly recommend them for any of your HVAC needs.

I use Scotty's Heating And Air Conditioning for air conditioning and heating. When you call Scotty's Heating And Air Conditioning they’re there. They come on time, very professional, tell you what you need or don’t need. They also sell you a lot of stuffs you don’t need but that’s a good thing. I’ve had my air conditioning life for 15 years and never had to have anything major bad happened. They've taken care of it. They're the only one we use, we don't call anybody else.

I called and the service tech was at my home in less than an hour. He had the problem diagnosed and repaired in less than an hour. Very nice people from the young lady who took my call to the great tech that came to the house. %100 top notch people. Price was exactly as it should have been. He showed me the melted wires and the non functioning capacitor. Absolutely competent and honest!

My experience with them went fine. The guy was very polite, efficient, informative, and knowledgeable. The price was reasonable. I would use them again, and as a matter of fact, I have called and made an appointment for servicing.

It was good with them. It went well. I didn't dislike anything. They were easy to get a hold of. They answered the phones right away and they came out right away, because it was a Sunday. They came out on a weekend really quick and they came back the next day to finish up.

He was timely and courteous. He rewired the heat pump connection, changed filters and tested and reset the unit. We would definitely use Scotty's again.

It went spectacularly well. We had gotten estimates from a half dozen vendors. Scotty's was the most intelligent and reasonable. The team showed up on time. They worked hard with little disruption to our routine. They cleaned up after themselves. We couldn't be more pleased.

The two servicemen identified the problem immediately; showed me the part that was damaged; explained how I could know in the future. They were courteous and informative and efficient. The price was much less than I expected. I signed a service agreement with them on the spot. These are very ethical people.

Our AC Unit started running non-stop so I choose to call Scotty's after seeing the reviews on Angie's list. I received excellent customer service from the minute Emily picked up the phone. She told me what to do until the technician could get there later in the day. The Technicians, Joey and Jeremy, arrived way ahead of schedule which was awesome in my case!! They were very professional and knew immediately what the problem was - low freon! He told me pricing up front and completed the work very quickly! We could tell a difference before they even left! I will be calling them in the future if need be.

Tim answered the phone right away. He arrived at exactly the time he said he would. He happened to be in the area and came right away. Very informative about repairs and provided cost prior to repairing. Extremely fair priced. Based on past experiences with other HVAC companies in different states, I would definitely recommend Scotty's.

On 6/5/13 one heat pump quit working with no power on the thermostat. I called Scotty's and the owner Tim came by in less than an hour. He immediately determined that the unit with no power was due to a plugged drain line that shut down the system. He drained the pan and installed new drain pipes to both units so that would not happen again. He also checked both units for freon and added two pound to one unit. That same unit also had a capacitor that had failed and he replaced that as well. Everything was done in less than an hour. On 6/15/13 the other unit failed to cool and I called the office that day (Saturday) and left a message fully expecting a reply when the office opened Monday morning. I received a call from a tech about an hour later and he said he would try to make it by the end of the day. True to his word he called and came by late that afternoon. I explained that the one unit would not produce cool air and the compressor fan was not running at a constant speed. He determined that the capacitor in that unit had failed and he replaced it and restored that unit to full functionality. The additional parts and labor only came to $43. I would recommend Scotty's with out hesitation. Excellent service.

He was on time. I told him that another company came out & said a capacitor & motor was needed at a minimum cost of $1000.00 so we wanted an estimate to replace entire units. He said we may not need new units as the units were only 14 years old. He discovered that the other company took the original capacitor with them. He put in a new capacitor & told us that should do it. He saw no sign of bad motor but to let the air run & if any problem he will return under same service call. He explained everything he did. It has been over a week & house is cool. I was impressed with his professionalism & the fact that he did not trash the previous company though they obviously deserved it. By the way, his prices are very reasonable.

I noticed that my A/C was blowing warm air at about 4pm. I was sure no one was going to be able to come out that day and mentally tried to brace myself for a night with no A/C! I consulted Angie's List and saw that Scotty's was highly rated and nearby. I called and left a message. I received a prompt response and spoke to a friendly, courteous employee who listened intently and said she would speak to Tom Scott and call me back immediately. She did and said that he would be there at 7pm! She also instructed me to turn off the system but turn on the fan (In case the unit was frozen, it would have time to defrost before Tom arrived.) Tom and a coworker arrived just before 7. Wow! He looked at our unit and immediately recognized that our filter was way overdue for a change. He examined the entire unit thoroughly, inside and out, and diagnosed our problem. The control panel outside the house had been shorted out and was no longer working properly. It needed to be replaced. Tom said he was calling his parts provider and would let me know the cost and when he could have it. Again, I just knew it would be at least the next day before we had A/C. I was wrong! He said he was able to get the part and return by 9pm to install it. (He obviously has a great relationship with his parts provider! Big bonus for the customer!) He gave me a very detailed breakdown of the charges - $65 for the service call, $80 for labor, $30 for the filter, $165 for the circuit board. The price was beyond reasonable for the work they did and how quickly they did it - and after normal business hours! Tom took the time to explain and show us the filter and how often to replace it. It's not an easy filter to buy, and I now know we can get them from him for a reasonable price. He also explained and showed us the damage to the circuit board. Tom was honest, professional, and definitely went above and beyond to fix our problem as quickly as humanly possible!

Tim Scott is a quality guy. He came right away and gave us a price and different options. He did all the work in one day and made sure everything was operating smoothly before he left. The unit has been quiet and efficient and ice cold air whenever we need it. He stuck to his price even though he had to do alittle more plenum work. Folks, if you want it done right the first time this is your company.

Tim and his men arrived exactly on time. Each man went to work on a different part of the old system and had it removed in a short order. The new system was brought in and installed, some extra ducting installed, and I was shown the particulars of the new system. By lunch time, it was all over and I had a new and working heating and air system. They left no trash behind and the job passed the city inspection without a problem.

A few weeks later, the heating unit failed again and I am feeling very lucky that it happened. The service tech checked the gas valve, as that was the last part to be replaced and it was working well. Jeff, then cleaned the burner assembly. He was able to get the unit to operate just fine but he just didn't seem satisfied with the intermittent roll out of the natural gas at startup. The unit would work fine on some startups and then there would be a startup with a slight amount of roll out. Jeff decided to look deeper, and as a retired electronics service tech, I agreed. After using his "camera snake" to look at the inside of the unit, he found major problems and this would explain the intermittent roll out. We had to condemn the unit and will be getting a new unit installed soon. I feel fortunate that this problem was found at this time as this could have allowed dangerous gases to leak out or could have set the house on fire. Looking forward to getting the new unit installed.

I emailed for an estimate and Tim responded quickly. Tim selected the best location for the indoor unit and explained why the location I had selected was not good. He provided the estimate and we scheduled a time for installation. On the install day they were 15 mins early for the scheduled start time. The install was performed by Tim and 2 crew members. The work was divided up and they worked very fast. Start to finish the install took 2 hours. I am very happy with the quality of work and plan on calling on Scotty's (Tim Scott) for my future HVAC needs. I am also very pleased with the mini-split itself. The outside unit is very quiet and the inside unit is quiet as well. The remote control makes it easy to keep the room at just the right temperature.

This is how service should be performed, special circumstances not with-standing. The A/C unit coils iced up completely. I placed a service call the following morning at 0910 hrs. Was informed to expect a tech around noon. Tech - Jeff - arrived around 1100hrs and by noon the unit was repaired and running great. Jeff had to replace the thermostat and add some coolant. Jeff was very professional and friendly. I enjoyed the service visit. He was considerate of our situation and gave us advice on planning for the future A/C system needs. I will certainly involve Scotty's when it is time for a new A/C system. Thanks.
