They were very professional and identified potential problems with one of our units. They explained thoroughly how the heat pump works which was very helpful since we are originally from the north and have only had furnaces to deal with.

Old coast really took care of me & my family when it came to getting a new system put in our home. Everyone of the employees were very professional, cleaned up behind them selves and just did a great job. We live in Georgia so we actually stepped up to a three ton Lennox and its working great. When I want it cold in my house it gets cold, when I want it warm it gets warm so it works perfect for me.They also told us about a rebate with Savannah electric that we took advantage of and got back a great return and saved some money. So YES I would recommend old coast heating & air. These guy's truly care about their customers.

Craig called me to let me know that he was on his way and when he would approximately be arriving. He was friendly and explained all of the service that he was going to be performing, as he did the various checks he explained how my system was doing within the parameters of where it should be performing. I was very confident that he knew exactly what should be done and he knew exactly how to do it, when Craig was finished I knew that my system was running as it should be and that it was all set to continue running smoothly through th next upcoming season. If I should ever need any work done on my system I will not hesitate to call Old Coast Heating & Air Conditioning to do the work and of course Craig will be the Tech that I want.

Appointment ran behind schedule but service was finished same day. Technician was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. However, in our opinion, and after researching online, the price for the part was greatly inflated. The owner talked at length with my husband about their pricing structure and offered a complimentary PM. We appreciated the offer but will likely forgo it.

Mr. Friedman followed up immediately after we spoke by coming to my home for an emergency installation. I was impressed at the professionalism of his crew and how quickly they were able to replace my indoor and outdoor unit. Since his service, I have recommended him twice

Though we did not use their service this time the young man that did the inspection was very professional and pointed out several areas of concern that would make the installation and efficiency of the unit better. He also took the time to explain exactly what equipment and services would be provided, additional options, and an overall description of how the work would be delivered. Professional, punctual, and personable.

the best I have had as far as PM. Appointment was very timely after purchase from Angies List. Company called to let me know that Craig was still on a job and gave me a better estimate of time for appointment so I could do another errand before he arrived. I normally try to have the HVAC serviced every spring. This was by far the best service I have received. Most PM are in and out in an hour. Craig spent almost 3 hours on the service and making sure all was going well. He keep me informed on all that he did. He did tell me my TRANE is getting close to its end of the line, but was still chugging along. Last year I was told I need to get a new unit before summer because the unit was on its last legs and they had a "special" if I changed out the unit NOW. I even qualified for special financing, imagine that! When my TRANE does pull into the station for it last trip, I will be calling Old Coast for a new one. LC

My existing A/C unit was on it's last legs so I decided it was time to replace it. I obtained quotes from four different comapnies for a new unit. Old Coast was not the chepaest quote, but all of the research I did indicated that a good contractor was just as important as the equipment you were buying. After talking to the rep from Old Coast, I felt they really knew what they were doing and would give me the best installation. My Lennox system is performing beautifully and the ductwork in the attic looked like a new home after they finished. I Would highly reccomend Zach (owner) and his team. He started and finished the job within the time frame he gave me and stayed in contact with me throughout the process. I feel he went above and beyond what most companies do these days and I am confident I chose the right company for my job. I will use Old Coast in the future and would highly reccomend them to anyone considering their services.

William Eaton was flexible on suggestion options to not only repair but handle all our A/C issues as well. He explained the pros and cons of each suggestion and gave reasonable, good quotes with detail and very fair pricing. He climbed up in our attic and took photographs of our ducts and showed us visually the problems and what he suggested in correcting all. We were most impressed with this. All work was completed on schedule, w/ great attention to detail. We feel he was honest with the cost of repairs. I would highly recommend OLD Coast HVAC to anyone in Georgia. Fantastic!!! My wife has had allergy problems we thought were from the HVAC, but it never got better even after duct cleaning and installation of IR lights in the system. Old Coast came in, listened to what we wanted and quickly diagnosed what was wrong with our existing system. The redesigned the duct work, installed a larger, high efficiency system with solar panels. They even added a few returns to make the temperature in the house more balanced. The very first day with the new system my wife felt much better!!. We had been working with another contractor for an extended period of time and they had never been able to offer up these ideas. We had them quote on the new system and even after we talked about the issues we were having they quoted direct replacement of the existing systems (higher efficiency but same design) and said they thought the ducts were fine. They specialize in high efficiency systems, our new system after rebates and tax credits was cheaper than a less efficient system that our old contractor quoted. I cannot say enough about all the people who make up Old Coast, they were all great. I would highly recommend them.

After an initial communication snafu Old Coast made the repair to the duct work on the system. They where able to rework the existing duct for a proper installation fixing a some issues caused by a previous contractor. Everything worked out very well.

I called Old Coast HVAC Thursday morning and Friday morning they were there replacing our entire heating and air conditioning system. The system we had was about 20 years old and some of the lines had to be changed to the attic (the house is on a cement slab) which they did for no additional cost. They had the new air conditioning unit in and working by 5 the day after I called them. Old Coast HVAC was the best price I found in Savannah and they were also the fastest. I could not even get anyone to work on the system as quickly as they changed the entire thing out! They also changed out our thermostat to make it energy efficient which will give us another rebate from Georgia power, on top of the one you get for changing out the unit before the 31st. Zach helped me get the system and thermostat that would give me two rebates from Georgia power. We have hired multiple air conditioning companies in Savannah and this is by far the best we have used. I will be using them to clean my unit every year. Thanks to Old Coast HVAC!

Old Coast did the installation without any problems from start to finish. They kept me advised as to what was going on throughout the entire installation. They reconfigured the ducting as needed to improve air flow throughout the house because of high ceilings in many of the rooms. Zach and William made sure that the small details such as routing of the duct, lines and wiring was routed in the most efficient way, and that it was orderly. With my concurrence, they have before and after pictures of the installation on their web site. Prior to finding Old Coast, I had a bad experience with another A/C Company, so it was like a breath of fresh air talking with William from Old Coast. He made me believe that there was still people out there that truly take pride in what they do, and share the concerns of the customer. Since both of my systems were out, Old Coast provided me with a portable Room Air Conditioner to use until the new install was complete. It was a pleasure working with Zach and William, If they do not change their approach to dealing with people and continue to provide the kind of service they provided me, I believe they will be very successful in this business. We were impressed with the whole process. Zach "lives" HVAC systems and he really listens to his customer. He started out with a thorough two hour on site assessment of our needs. He came up with a customized solution for our specific needs. The install itself went flawless. Zach didn't rush the job, but payed tremendous attention to every little detail. He only used top supplies and materials. It was very pleasant to have him and his crew around. After three month with our new HVAC system we can vouch für the professionalism of the company. If you are looking for somebody who delivers a top-quality job for a reasonable price look no further. We can highly recommend Zach an his team.

Had an issue with the AC in my hose in Savannah. My normal servicing company had just performed the annual inspection and given the system a clean bill of health. 3 calls over the next 3 weeks for system shutting down and cycling resulted in their recommendation that the 15yr old Trane 1200xl external unit be replaced. Called several HVAC companies to come out for an estimate on the replacement, explaining the issue and that I had just replaced the inside air handler 2 years ago. Not only did Zack return my call on the weekend, but he had William out the very next day. William gave me an estimate but also explained that he felt the Trane condenser was not the issue. After another diagnostics they felt the air handler that had been installed was drawing more air than the existing return ducting could handle. A recommendation was made to redesign the return duct work to allow more air volume and to replace the overheating blower motor, The cost was one quarter of the estimates provided by others which simply suggested other 13 SEER condenser units and the work was completed 2 days later. Super folks, with super service!

When our last HVAC person retired, we despaired of never finding someone who would be as good. And then we called Zack, who is even better. Zack has been able to keep our aging HVAC system in good working order through proactive, meticulous inspection, cleaning and maintenance every six months. When my husband was having allergy problems, he recommended an air scrubber that he and his crew installed. As a consequence our historic condo is odor and mold free, which is unusual in Savannah's low country. Zack and his crew are knowledgeable, caring professionals that do an amazing job. I wish all of our contractors were like him.

As I was getting my morning jolt of caffeine at the 12 Oaks Starbucks and noticed the guys in front of me ordering a caffeine cocktail with extra energy and couldn't help from commenting on it. The guy (who I later found out was Zach) told me they had been doing a job all the previous evening and had a long day ahead. I asked what their business was and Zach said HVAC. Hmmm, I thought All night = lots of extra pay, so I said that must have been rather lucrative. Zach quickly told me that his company did not charge extra for night and weekend service. I asked for a card because everyone knows that contractors always charge extra for night?s weekends and holidays so I thought, SELF, get the 411 so if you ever have a problem you could save some duckets... Fast forward two weeks. It was getting warm outside and it was time for the semiannual maintenance check. You guessed it; I called Old Coast and arranged for them to check out the system. I knew that the unit was original to the house as was the duct work (built in 1996). William the Operations Manager came out to diagnose and tune the system. We never got to the tune up. He quickly zeroed in on how my old HVAC firm had been failing me miserably. The air handler was so rusted it was about to collapse from its own weight and take the 1 feeble air return with it. The coil was totally filled with gunk, mold, and other unhealthy critters. The squirrel cage fan was about to run out of peanuts and the emergency heat had tried to light its own fire. The contactor on the outside unit showed signs that it had tried to cook itself. We then went to the attic....The Spider plenum was leaking like a sieve, was designed all wrong for efficient distribution of the air and, by the way, was also rusted. Then we looked at the interior of the duct work, GROSS!!! No wonder I was running a farm for dust bunnies! William called Zach (and, oops, put him on speaker phone to write while they were talking in the next room). I heard true professionals figure out an appropriate and elegant solution that would be cost effective to install, conserve energy, and greatly improve the air quality and comfort in my home. I overheard Zach say at one point say, "I don't care how you do it as long as it is perfect" WOW! Real workmen proud of their labor - how rare is that... William came back (on a Saturday, for free) to explain the whole thing to my Husband (who really holds the purse strings). He had diagrammed everything out, explained in understandable to the layman detail what he and Zach were proposing and options we could choose. They started on Wednesday and (because of the extensive scope of the work and our schedule) finished the next Monday. I now have a professionally designed system with efficient equipment that has already made a dent in my power bill that cleans efficiently and effectively, has a REME system to protect from mold and other creepy crawly critters that are harmful to pets and their humans (especially their dust bunny farm). Three new returns that really balance the temperature throughout the house at a price that was Thousands below the other two estimates I got, for better equipment and a truly professional installation - Skip the usual Byrd, Cannidy's and other large companies. Call Old Coast. By the way did I mention that both Zach and William have degrees in HVAC are working on Leed Certification, and, guess what? They are very professional businessmen who happen to be in their early thirties. Don't let the age fool you. These guys are truly professionals. Hire them and relax in the comfort of a well-designed system that really works!
