Old Coast HVAC

Paid more than 20k for a brand new system that included a 2 year maintanence warranty from Feb 2023. In April my unit broke and had no a/c in 2023, and they continued to blow my repair requests off until june. Also, for some reason they claim the maintenance warranty is expired as of Feb 2024. Simple math would detirmine that the warranty expires in 2025, but with our repeated emails, they continue to say it is expired. And now there is another issue and it is only the 2nd year having their unit in the house. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Not good at all, First Red Flag was when the text said before the could order the parts the Labor had to be paid up front, My Wife paid him in full with her American Express Card, the next morning I call the Company and spoke with Wendy one of company Receptionist, I Told her I don't do Business that way she understood and refunded my wife card. Before I go any further with this complaint, I have been a loyal customer with Old Coast Heating and Since 2015, Until Now I Always received very good service from this Company in the past, even now the Receptionist, Technician and The Supervisor Joe Torres is respectful Professionals they are every thing the service Manager ERIC, IS NOT!! This Service Manager Credibility to me is in question with his Dismissive Traits

They did a good job. Quality is good. They did an outstanding job.

They charged me for repairing the system (Heat & AC). The drug addled technician they sent, spent the day at my house, for the purpose of inflating his bill at my expense. He tried to charge me over $670(at the end of the day), for changing out a small transformer . I told him that I would only pay $350. After all that, my AC quit again 2 months later. Old Coast said they had fired the druggy, but could not give me any credit or warranty on his work, and they would be very happy to charge me another $79 to send another technician TO MY HOUSE.I told them to take a long walk on a short pier. They were unable to perform this service on the day scheduled, (they were running behind due to an unanticipated issue at an earlier service site), but they were quite flexible with the alternate day I requested. I used the Angie's list discount coupon and even with the additional $50.00 I spent on a drain pan anti-algae pad, (to keep the drain line free and clear), I felt the price was a fair and reasonable one. Dylan (the tech.) was quite friendly and informative. He thoroughly cleaned and serviced all elements of our cooling system and took the time to explain his actions and made recommendations for future actions on our part, if necessary.

A drug addled service tech spent 6 hours doing a 30 minute job. When he was done he tried to overcharge me by $350 above his original estimate $125. That furnace no longer works, and as an added bonus my HVAC freon freakishly leaked out when I tried to use the Cooling unit 2 months later.

Chuck, the technician, was very thorough. He spent a couple hours checking the entire system. Unfortunately, he could not fix the problem that day, but explained in full detail why he couldn't. He called Kenny, who would be able to order the parts we needed and schedule the install. Kenny came over about an hour after Chuck called him, on that same Saturday. We had to completely replace our indoor air handler, which was completely covered under our warranty. We decided to replace the entire system, instead, and Kenny worked with us to figure out the best system for our budget. He was not pushy at all, and didn't try to sell us the top system just because it cost more. Kenny also spent a couple of hours on the phone with our warrant company to ensure we got writhing we were supposed to. Install guys came the next Saturday and competed everything. Very kind, hard working folks. We will be loyal customers to this company unless something changes.

My dealings with Old Coast were terrific!! Chuck, my technician , was prompt, courteous and professional all the way thru and made sure I was satisfied with work performed. Would highly recommend ..

Their technician was great! Professional, courteous, willing to explain everything he was doing during the service, offer advice for further service and maintenance. I even signed up for semi- annual servicing.

Great. They showed up right on time and got the job done quickly and properly. Our new system works great!

This is a great company. I called them when I had a leak in the house and I discovered it was from the pan under my AC unit. Jay came out immediately and unplugged the plugged drain. After I saw the drain pan, which was very rusty and bent, he said I might want to consider a new pan. I agreed that it looked like I needed one. Jay was a great technician. In addition to unplugging the drain, he emptied the rusty pan, checked all the pressures and gave me tips about how my vents should be turned. I asked him to let the office know that I was interested in having the pan replaced. I received a call the same afternoon with an estimate and an appointment for the next day. Today, Dan Cory and another tech, whose name I cannot recall, came out and installed the new pan. I can't say enough about how knowledgeable, professional and efficient they were. They answered all the questions I had and were an absolute pleasure to do business with.

My air conditioner failed on a Saturday with 90+ heat. I called a different company, they came very quickly and advised me my compressor was shot, it was no longer under warranty, would cost almost $2,000 to fix but tech said he doubted that was all that was wrong and recommended a new unit (at $6000+). I called Old Coast on Monday for a second estimate. Boy, was I glad I did! They told me the compressor WAS under warranty and they rep[laced the compressor, did a full inspection, cleaned and re-sealed my ducts for under $800. Saved me from being ripped off. I would gladly use Old Coast for all my HVAC needs. They were great!

They installed our unit a little over a year ago and were just out changing the filters and renewed our service contract. I guess I would definitely recommend them. On this visit we paid our annual service fee. They came back a few days later to fix a noise and there was no cost. For a 1 year service contract, it's a good price. I would use them again and now I have an annual contract.

Very well pleased with the entire experience. Everyone at Old Coast was responsive and made sure we were satisfied with their service.

On price, they are a little on the high side.

The technician showed up on time. He was quick and efficient. He explained all about the annual contract and its benefit.

My first impression wasn't good. They were late for the scheduled time by 30 minutes. This was a mishap by their office. After waiting for another company to leave, Jeff took the needed time to do the walk thru and gave me the quotes with a few options. I interviewed 4 companies and decided to go with old coast because of the rebates offered and the competitive cost they gave me. The service was great. It was a full day install lead by Dan. Any questions I asked, he was able to explain the process. Jeff came by the day of the install to make sure the process was going smoothly. After my first impression, they made up for the office mishap in scheduling. I'd recommend them to anybody. I'm happy with the quality and the service the provided and I'm not an easy sell!

Old Coast was one of 5 estimates I received, although their pricing was in the mid range Old Coast is one of the authorized contractors listed on Georgia Power's website for the Whole Home Energy Improvement Program with the rebates I received it brought the cost down to the lower range of my estimates with a better system....They were here and done when the said they would be, they were very professional. They also had a QC employee follow up and check that all was completed as required, he found one small issue, it was fixed within the hour. The day of installation, they also covered my hot water heater, it was a new hot water heater, we discovered it was leaking, they fixed it No Charge...they were fantastic..(they were not the cause of the leak, and did not have to fix it, but they did)

Everything works. Their responsiveness was very good. They could have lower costs.

The installation techs, Oscar and Hector, were tremendous and stayed late into the evening to ensure work was complete and done properly. Once complete, a walk through with a quality control tech showed a few issues that were not up to his specs and within no time these were resolved. Old Coast is exceptional in supplying extras, including Ga Power energy audit, and Ga Power Rebates that should make choosing Old Coast an easy decision.

Fast...out in about 45 minutes. This company is so tech forward paid my bill had a receipt emailed to me for my records...Love going paperless!

I contacted Robbie Hodges on Thursday and his man, Frederico, came out on Friday, went up on the roof, assessed the situation, took measurements and made a parts list. He showed up first thing on Monday morning with all the supplies, including the exact matched shingles and matching gutter guard cap. I could not believe how quickly they were able to execute the job. Within a couple of hours he had re-roofed the entire section, installed the gutter guard and even cut and replaced two vent guards at the crest of the roof that I had not originally noticed. I would highly recommend Old Coast for any roofing needs. Our roof looks perfect and I would definitely use them again.

The team was prompt and professional. They went out of their way to keep area neat and clean. They arranged for an energy audit and gave accurate estimates of rebates. We are very satisfied with the work.

They had a repairman out to me within the hour. He was able to diagnose the problem before even seeing it, then, upon confirming that was indeed the problem, set about fixing it quickly. These guys have my loyalty now. They are pleasant, responsive and very efficient and professional.

We received Georgia power rebates that went towards cost of repairs. They arrived on time and did a good job. We have used them three times in the past and have always been happy with their service. They don’t have the cheapest rates, but definitely provide good service for what they charge. I would recommend their services to others. They also have very prompt service.
