Mike Kenny Roofing Company is owned and operated by Mike Kenny, who is a thrid generation roofer in the Savannah area. We are licensed by the City of Savannah and have a contractors certificate for City of Tybee. We are also licensed in asbestos removal by the Environmental Protection Agency of the State of Georgia. Mike Kenny Roofing Company is fully insured. We carry general liabiltiy and worker's compensation insurance. Certificates of insurance are available upon request. Mike Kenny Roofing Company offers free estimates and stand behind our work. We have 4 employees which have been with us for several years. License in Savannah #1151 and on the approved contractor list for Tybee Island.

Description of Work: I called Mike Kenny Roofing and asked for a quote. They returned my call promptly and came at the appointed time. I received a quote the following day for several thousand dollars more than a previous roofer. This was 25% higher than anything I had seen before. I called Mr. Kenny to ask about the quote. He never returned my call.

I did speak with [Member's name removed] to discuss a couple of items in the proposal. He stated he was obtaining a couple more estimates to compare and that he would notify me with a decision, but I never heard back from him. We are not an overly aggressive sales team to pursue proposals as most of our clients are repeat customers. We apologize for any inconvenience and any lack of communication on our part.

Thank you for the report and opportunity to provide service. We sealed under a few shingles above one leak are and extended a downspout from a higher roof gutter across the lower roof to eliminate some water from causing damage to the lower roof. The other leak was caused by shingles on a pipe flashing which needed to be sealed. These are common maintenance items related to the age of the roof.

Description of Work: Roof leaked from another expensive contractor. Mike Kenny's group fixed it and resealed the roof. It fixed a chronic problem and we were very happy.

Description of Work: Mike Kenny provided timely and accurately estimates. During his estimate, he even identified a problem with an exhaust system that did not pertain to his estimate. He volunteered to supervise replacement when the time arrived. I was impressed with his willingness to ensure all systems on the roof were functioning properly even though they were not his responsibility to maintain or change. Rest assured, he is diligent.

This was a flatter roof situation which has been given the owner trouble for some time. We removed the old roof, replace approximately 22 sheats of plywood and installed a sealoflex roof system with a tapered roof insulation system to provide some slope to the roof. Our estimate of using 16 sheats of plywood was short, but with the proper communication before the job, the owner had no hesitation about the over cost. They were a real pleasure to do business with and they will sure be on our preferred customer list for very prompt service if needed in the future for other sections of roofing work.

Description of Work: After not being contacted by other firms who said they would, I joined Angie's List about noon on Tuesday 6/17. I found Mike Kenny Roofing on the list for my area. Called the company that afternoon and spoke with Mike. He set an appointment for the next morning to assess the problem. Arrived on time, reviewed the problem, presented a solution and had a team come back that afternoon to make the repair. | |I would and will definitely use Mike Kenny Roofing again.

This job scope included replacing wood around the chimney which had been leaking for some time. Also a "cricket" was installed to divert the water around the back side. The pitch of the roof is a 12/12 which is very steep, and indeed proper experience is required to get it done safely. Thank you for taking the time for the report!

The raccoons were a surprise, but we dealt with it by calling Tybee Island Animal Control who assisted us without harming the animals.
