I was out of town due to a death in my family when my tenant called to inform me that the air conditioning when out during sweltering summer heat. I called Air Mechanix and two other companies for estimates, and Air Mechanix was the least expensive and most flexible with regards to payment. They worked with me by phone, and my air was back up and running before I returned home. They did a great job...thanks so much!

This was a good experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

First of all, when I called, the owner answered. He satisfied my questions and transferred me to the office to set up an appointment. I then spoke with his wife, who was just as gracious as the owner was. I was given the fee for the service call upfront. I was delighted to learn that the technician would be their son. He came to my home the next day. The technician and a second young man arrived on time, after their pre-phone call, and performed a thorough service on my 26 year old HVAC unit. Not only did he explain what he was doing as he went, he also told me that my condenser was newer than the air handler, and that with continued proper servicing, I may be able to get 5 more years from this system. This would help me greatly! He also told me that in the event that I may need/choose to replace this system earlier, that it would probably run around $4,000.00, which is less than anyone else had ever suggested. I paid $85.00 for the service call, and because my freon was low, there was an additional charge of $30.00 for it. I could not be happier, with the friendliness, the prompt, expert service, and the cost for everything. I would not consider using anyone else in the future. They were very courteous very professional and extremely knowledgable, They did not try to push a new system on us. He is very honest and upfront about information on our system.

They came within the time frame they promised. The second time, I was not forewarned about when they would come; they just showed up, and luckily, I was home. The fan came the next day, and again, the repairman just showed up to install it.

They arrived and did a complete evaluation. Took care of the problem and educated us on our systems.

My AC went out in the house last summer. We had a company come out and give us one estimate for $12000. I was like H*** No. I did feel like getting ripped off. I did some research and found out that spending around 4000 for a new AC unit was reasonable. Then the weather started to warm up and I didn't know where to look. I heard of Angies list from Glenn Beck. So I tried it. Then I saw this company and saw the grade. I called Air Mechanix. Got an estimate that was around $4000, That was with a military discount and I was quite happy. They were a little late in showing up for the job, besides that. They worked hard and took them 6 hours to take our the only funarce, compressor & ac unit. The weather was a slight factor. It rained all day. Besides that, they were good. I would use them again.

Called based on good friend's positive experience. Was impressed w/ level of professionalism; direction given regarding HVAC brands and which companies have a strangle hold on the market for parts; ability to think outside the box in our cost favor regarding getting the replacement unit on our roof; punctuality; the way they handle future maintenance (no contracts; base cost for twice yearly inspection and they call us to schedule - it is not our responsibility to remember to call them). Our previous servicer charged over twice as much and required a contract then regularly didn't call to schedule. And, this is a family owned and operated company. We can honestly recommend Air Mechanix to anyone who needs HVAC service.

We woke up cold one morning and the heater would not come on. I called them up and set up a time to meet them at my house later that same day. Mr Fillingim came when he said he would and spent little time diagnoising the problem, he gave me an estimate to replace the broken switch with a universal replacement part he had on the truck. I dont think he spent more than 1.5 hours diagnoising and repairing the problem. I am very satisfied and will call them first next time.

We have a rental and the tenant has just moved in. She reported that the heat was working intermittently and she had guests coming for Christmas. Air Mechanixs came out and promptly diagnosed the problem, and repaired it the next day. The bill for both days and the part was less than $150

They were very good. They made an appointment in a couple of days. It wasn?t an emergency. The air conditioning system had stopped cooling but it was early in the season so it was not a problem. The representative fixed the problem. They tried to save me some money.

Company technician gave pros and cons regarding fixing vs. replacing unit. (We had previously had another contractor plug a refrigerant leak.) He also knew what the optimal size was for our ductwork and wiring. He was willing to match a cheaper bid from a competitor, and also did the work before being paid, and when we were out of state.

These f****** jagoffs are ruining my life and the life of my family with their b******* and their incompetence. As I write this in my 100 degree house my cute like chihuahua Buddy is lying listlessly panting. My girlfriend and I have spent time lying naked on the floor in front of box fans we've been forced to purchase as this process has dragged needlessly on and on. And for the record, when it's over 90 in your house at 8-9 PM it doesn't matter if you are naked, nothing sexy is going on. We have currently not had A/C service in this house for 18 days. The first time we called them they came out and fixed one thing on a system that we have since discovered needed a major overhaul. When it failed in the days that followed it should not have been a surprise. The system was still moving air like the life support system in the movie Total Recall at the point at which the colonists were nearly dead. They incorrectly diagnosed that there was nothing wrong with the AC and the following day it failed in total. We went round and round with them on the phone, they came out and of course charged us 55 dollars a visit to tell us variously that there was nothing wrong despite our house being 90 degrees inside, or that they needed to order in parts which would take days to get to us. They finally thought they had their act together and after failing to call and let my girlfriend know that they were coming so that she could leave her job down the street and meet them one or two times they showed up with some parts. Of course the f****** retards had messed up in either writing up the order, (which they did admit to not sending through for two days after they checked the house) or ordering the parts because they didn't have the right parts for our unit. At this point we took a long weekend and got the h*** out of town in part because we live in Savannah GA which has been dealing with weeks of 90+ degree days (not uncommon for us) as well as record breaking 100+ degree days. and in part because I felt we were wearing out our welcome with various friends and family that gave us a place to sleep when we found it difficult to do in conditions that reminded us of an oven. When we got back from our vacation the problem still had not been fixed despite my girlfriend's mother taking a day off work to sit around our house waiting for techs to show up. Today two guys showed up yet again to do the work, only to discover that.... wait for it... they had the wrong parts again! F*** these guys!! F*** them in their a****!!! I know I am not acting Christian as I write this but I have been living in h*** for far too long. It is actually cooler outside our house than in, but our neighborhood is a little sketchy so we only sparingly hang out there. Now after rounds on the phone and threats of involving the BBB and our local news a master tech. from another company is outside looking the problem right now. Do not deal with this company if you care for your family and your home.
