Description of Work: They were contracted by our home warranty company to fix our primary air conditioner. We waited I think 4 days before they had an appointment available in the Hilton Head area...and so we were without air during a hot time of the fall. They then had to order a part, and that took a couple more days before they would set a new appointment. The technicians were fine...and I think were more hindered by the terms of their contract with the home warranty company.

Here at AActionAir we take reviews VERY seriously! Reviewing the service history: AHS dispatch imported FRIDAY 2:20 p.m. 10-9-16, we called within an hour of receipt of the dispatch. Scheduled within 36 hours during normal business hours. The opportunity for after-hours service was denied because of additional cost. The call was properly diagnosed on scheduled date, AActionAir followed your warranty company procedure, ordered the part, scheduled accordingly to complete repair. All scheduling and part ordering process is due to the procedures and guidelines we must follow with the warranty company, delaying repairs every time.

Description of Work: Purchased a garden window box whose gas-filled glass top began to leak after 5 years, creating mold. Mfgr had gone out of business, but Action Air took over the project, identified the requisite replacement glass, and installed it at a very reasonable price. No complaints (although this transaction occurred so long ago that I do not recall the price)!

Description of Work: A Action Air is the outfit used by American Home Shield, with which we had a home warranty. For years we threw money out the window on that warranty, because A Action simply made our air and heating system limp along from one breakdown to another, until finally we suspected they had sabotaged our system by doing something to it that a subsequent repair company saw and photographed. We ended up canceling the home warranty and getting a whole new system (which we should have done to begin with instead of relying on A Action) from Savannah Air Factory. Great price, impeccable service and follow-up, not one single problem since installation in summer of 2014.

I am so sorry for your experience through your warranty company. I have reviewed your calls. 6-25-2014 - We diagnosed a leaking evaporator coil, American Home Shield denied your claim. 6-06-2014 - We adjusted the refrigerant charge 2-18-2014 – We found unit flooded and recommend a new system. (member name removed), we professionally diagnosed your system. What the warranty company approves and denies is determined by your coverage. We take pride in our work whether through a warranty company or directly with customer. Given the opportunity, AActionAIr MUST do the right thing. I cannot see where we didn't offer a correct professional opinion and offer solutions. I believe your review to be an unfair one, and ask for its removal. After reviewing invoices , I looked in our pictures of repairs to verify diagnostics. I did not see a permit pulled from Savannah Factory Air. I called the city of Savannah to verify. I hope your installation was up to code. I hope they continue to satisfy your HVAC needs in the future. Please consider the removal of your post. Thank you, John General Manager

Things were a little bit rough setting up our appointment, but that's probably because my mother-in-law paid from out of state. The guys arrived on time. I wasn't personally there when they arrived, and by the time I got there they were gone, and my husband (who was there first) didn't even know they'd left. They came and went a few times... I assume they were buying stuff for the job, but it would've been nice to let us know. No big deal. After a short while we left the house for a bit leaving the crew there along with our handyman, all hard at work. I soon got a call that they would have to return tomorrow to finish because one of the guys passed out after being in our attic. It's Georgia and it's summer, so I know it's hot... but this is you job. You KNOW you're going into a hot attic and you choose not to keep yourself hydrated? I didn't get upset about this, but if you think about it it's extremely unprofessional. He should've known better. But I said it was no problem and wished him well. The next day the guys came out extra early to try and beat the heat. The work was finally completed and the A/C works well now. Because of their delay they ended up working on the same day as our roofers. That evening I saw that they left our old water heater in the front yard. I called to see if that was customary and I was told that one of the roofers asked for it so they left it, but if no one wanted it they would come back and pick it up. Well the roofers deny this claim, and now this stupid thing i sitting in front of my house and I have to wait for someone from the company to be in my area and hope that someone told them to come pick it up... I'm not holding my breath. Even if a roofer asked for the thing, someone should have told me what was happening. Whatever communication breakdown occurred between these two crews is not my fault, and I shouldn't have to deal with the consequences. The work they eventually did was fine, but the lack of professionalism and common courtesy will prevent me from hiring this company again.

I fired them because I found out they were dishonest. While servicing my unit, they said it was leaking so I got a second opinion. Upon a second opinion the unit was not leaking the technician actually poured liquid down to make it look like it was leaking. They told me the leak could not be repaired that I had to buy a new unit. All of there claims proved to be false.

The service was March 2009 , AActionAir sent the senior technician for the second opinion , and confirmed there was not a Freon leak on condenser coil tube sheet and then followed up with service manager offering customer a free maintenance which was accepted . So we were good enough to take the free service however not good enough to use again ??????? OKAY (Member name removed) we are not a dishonest company ,Integrity is #1 on the AActionAir priority list , I am sorry you had a bad experience :-( Sincerely , General Manager

I would recommend them to anybody. Each time I had the air conditioner repaired it was okay. A lot of service providers would recommend that I would replace it, but when they fixed it the air conditioner functioned better than it ever had. I would hire them in a new york minute. They even called me to let me know that he was coming and he showed up when expected. I never had to wait for them.
Description of Work: They did the most fantastic job I have ever had. They fixed it right and it was wonderful. It was an older air conditioner that they repaired.

Service man came out, checked it and said it needed refrigerant and put some in. He collected his money and left. That evening when I got home from work I went back there to check on what he had done and found he left the access panel off the unit and had lost all but one of the screws that hold it on. I had to find enough screws and reinstall the access panel myself. Very poor service and no respect for the customer. We found out later that he did not tighten something because the refrigerant he put in leaked out quite soon and the next tech I called, from another company, said he tightened it and it stopped the leak.
Description of Work: My AC unit was not cooling the house this year as it had been doing for the last 6 years. The Trane unit was installed in 2002.

The service was June 2 , 2008 , the service technician offered customer a leak search and customer denied and opted for Freon ONLY to be added , If the customer was 3 lbs low on refrigerant , and the refrigerant leaked back out , just maybe it was because the customer had a Freon leak ? Five years later now , I am sure you found the refrigerant leak and more than likely have changed equipment , hopefully to R-410A refrigerant. We surely are in the customer service business , and if there are any issues we have a full time Service manager working around the clock assuring quality , we invite the phone call so we can over come at the time of service for the customer Sincerely, General Manager Today date 9-25-13

You requested a refund for the cooling portion of your maintenance plan. She said she apologized for any missed appointments and asked if we could redeem ourselves. You said no. I am very sorry that this is your decision. I would have liked to arranged a time convenient for you (including after hours or a weekend) to do the cooling maintenance. We work hard to maintain good customer relations and we go outside the norm to do this. Refunds on a maintenance plan are outside of the norm considering that we were willing to fulfill our obligations. However, at your request I am authorizing a refund of $144 which is one-half of the initial cost of your current maintenance plan. They responded when they said they would , but did not complete job and we were without air conditioning for 5 days in 90 degree plus weather. I would never use them again nor recommend them to others.

I was given an estimate from A Action on 3/22/11 and the work was scheduled on 3/23/11. The team was very professional. They walked me through what they were doing and the difference in the new system versus the old system. They cleaned up after themselves. It only took about 4 hours for the total job to be completed. I received several recommendations for them from friends before I made a final decision to use A Action to complete the work. I did have to call them back out to flush the lines about a month later because the installers did not do that initially. So make sure you mention this if you have a new system installed. the safety mechanisms cut the system off if the water backs up in the summer. It is a 5 minute job and they did not charge me to correct the issue and the tech knew immediately what the problem was from my description. They came out the same day I called as well. Customer service has been great. I have been very pleased with my decision using A Action Air.
Description of Work: A Action Air replaced an old heating/air unit with a new heating/air unit. They took out a 20 year old Trane and replaced it with a new Bryant. They built a stand and placed the new unit on a stand which is now recommended procedures. They replaced inside and outside units. They did not replace my thermostat because the programmable thermostat I already had was better than the ones they use.
