Mr. Agazi Kidane immediately answered my call and scheduled me for same day service! He kept in touch with me by phone to advise of arrival time. Very courteous and competent! Diagnosed the problem quickly with good explanation of problem. Although he did not have the needed parts with him for repair, he went to get them and returned to my house to finish the job promptly. He was a committed professional! My dryer works perfectly and my experience was extremely positive and easy. Highly highly recommended!!!

I have worked with AK Appliance repair several times for different issues now and they have always been very responsive, fixed everything and did so at a very reasonable price. My dishwasher currently went on the fritz and it took a few visits to find out what is wrong, get the right parts and get it fixed. They always called or texted to keep me up to date on the status, gave me options and charged what I felt to be a reasonable fee. I highly recommend AK Appliance Repair. Also - they managed to track me down when I made an error in my phone number.

Excellent from the start! I contacted via Angie's List several pumping sevices to replace my badger garbage disposal andrecieved ridiculous quotes of over 300-400 to replace a disposal I could get for $150 at Home Depot! AK Appliance repair was different. Not only fast and professional buy cost effective. again arrived on time and even tried to see if he could repair the current disposal before replacing. That's service! He did an excellent job replacing as my motor was too far gone but I appreciate the attempt. Very neat in the installation and clean up and a friendly service person. Excellent experience, far more reasonable cost the. The 5 plumbing companies I contacted. I will use again.

Of the 3 companies I contacted by email, Agazi responded the quickest. He was able to come to our house the very next morning and arrived exactly when he said he would. He quickly discovered the problem and spent 2 hours on the repair. We are very pleased with the professional way he handled the process and was a very pleasant man to deal with. We also felt that the price was very reasonable. We will very definitely use AK Appliance Repair if needed in the future and will be glad to recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

Mr. Kadane responded within the hour of me calling him. He came out the same day (within an hour of my call). He was very professional and got to work . He found the dryer needed a new part and part of his service fee applied to the repair. I couldn't buy a new Maytag (8 Years old) for the price I paid for the repair. Agazi was amazing, he came the same day, fixed my Cuisinart, then came back to help me connect my Tivo. It was missing a cable so he couldn't complete but didn't charge me - who does that! I tried to give him some money, he wouldn't take it. He showed up at the exact time he said he would be there, was fast, professional and I felt safe with him in the house.

There turned out to be something non-food related lodged in the motor. The repairman did everything he could to find the problem, and not have to replace the disposal. Which he did, successfully.

our technician was very responsive to a Saturday call, came and assessed the situation and seemed to know exactly the problem right away. returned on Monday with all necessary equipment (our dryer and washer are stacked, so it was a bit of a job just to get them unstacked and moved in order to do the repair). he was very efficient and respectful and completed the job within 2 hours.

I called the technician and he arrived on time. He came first time to assess the problem and a few days later with screws to fix it. He didn't leave until it was fixed. The technician was responsive, professional. I highly recommend AK Appliance Repair.

We had just completed a full floor renovation the previous week where many things had to be moved. When we settled back into the home, within the next couple of days, I kept smelling a "propane smell" when I cooked on my stovetop. The smell was very different from the stain and glue smell of hardwood floor installation. I was very afraid that during the construction that something may have happened to the gas line in the kitchen. After cooking breakfast, I smelled it so bad that I opened all the windows and called this company. By lunch, he was at my home...very concerned for my well being. I had hesitated to call for help prior since I knew the floors would be "gassing" from the fumes of installation and staining. He tested every line - with no leaks. We finally determined that on that day in particular, that the floors were gassing so much that the gases were attracted to any heat source and were being microscopically burnt off...hence, the smell. He consoled me and explained what to expect for another couple of weeks. And, it has come to pass. While working on the initial leak concern, he checked my stovetop and realized that I had an igniter issue with one of the burners. He tried to fix it through cleaning - but, the part was faulty. He asked if he could order a new part. And, when he would come back, he would install the new part and deduct a portion of the service call. Within a week, the part was installed. He actually called to set up an appointment. I did not have to follow up. He came at the time he confirmed and installed without incident. His fees were as he promised. This company is a trustworthy source for appliance help.

Called for service during the morning of 8/11. Received prompt response. While installing gas dryer, needed a connector that he didn't have on the truck. He left to go to Ace Hardware to get the part and returned and finished installing gas dryer. Moved on to the washer. I had two sets of new hoses. Provider chose the ones with a automatic cut off if a water surge is detected. I did not know at the time that the valves already had this feature on them and therefore these more expensive hoses did not have to be used but that they did allow for a tighter connection. Completed install and said that the water was hooked up correctly. Movers were also there at the same time, so unable to confirm that everything was working correctly. A few days later used washer for the first time and found it was not working correctly. There was no cold water being supplied to the washer. Apparently this was not checked at time of install only that some water was going into washer. Hot water did work but without the cold water, washer would not perform correctly. Therefore problem was with the expensive water hoses that were not allowing the cold water to flow to the washer. For the cost of the install which I felt was high, this should not have been a problem. Therefore I had to remove the cold water hose to have it reset and then reinstall it.

I saw the good reviews and thought that AK would be able to help me. I called AK because my washer was not draining completely and my dryer was making a banging noise. During the first visit, AK fixed my washer that was not draining. I did not feel like he was listening to what I was saying about the dryer, which was that it was making a banging noise. He said he did not hear any squealing noise (because it wasn?t making a squealing noise). The washer was fixed...the dryer did not get fixed. I called him to come back. During the second visit, he said he had to order a part. Third visit, after he worked on the dryer the banging noise stopped and it was replaced with a THUMPING noise. I said that maybe I should just buy a new dryer instead of putting all the money into this one. (It?s only 7 years old and has less than normal wear and tear as I live alone.) He insisted that GE is a very good dryer and I should repair. My gut told me to call a different company but I really wanted him to make good on his work?I really wanted to believe the good reviews. Fourth time, he took the dryer completely apart and said he would need to order yet another part and come back. As he was leaving he went on and on about how difficult GE dryers are and he cannot figure out what is wrong. Fifth visit (today), he decided that the drum needs to be replaced?for $270. (I?m wondering now if the drum was damaged when he took the drum out of the dryer the other day and climbed inside to "work on it.") I will not have him come back. Very, very disappointing!! Now after 5 visits, I am out $416 AND my dryer is still not fixed. (The $416 does not include the $ for servicing my washer because it was fixed.) Perhaps dryers are not his thing? My rating is a D for overall, price & quality because after $416, my dryer is STILL not fixed. (If I had called him only about my washer this would have been a different review.) I'm glad others were able to get their appliances fixed. I wish my dryer had been fixed.

Our house has a very long vent through the walls to an opening on the side of the house. AK worked with vent specialists to clean the vent (a real problem to clean because of twists and turns). Dryer works great now.

I called AK Appliance Repair because of reviews on Angie's List to get my washer leak repaired. Mr. Kidane was quick to return my call and scheduled a site visit within 2 days. He came right on time. He was able to diagnose the problem within an hour, but a part needed to be ordered. I paid him $100 of the $249 up front. He called the next day with the part to schedule time to replace the old. He arrived the next day right on time. He replaced the faulty part and guaranteed the part and his labor. I have had no problems with my washer to date. He was very professional and courteous. His prices were more than fair for the services performed. I will contact him again is I have an appliance in need of repair.

Mr. Kidane is thoughtful and practical in his advice and repair analysis. He is extremely thorough in his approach to repair and then does an excellent job with the actual repairs. This is the second time I have used his services and I have been equally impressed with his professionalism and knowledge both times. My husband, who usually does minor repairs, is impressed with his work as well. I highly recommend his services.

I called on Friday late afternoon to ask for a repairman to come out to fix the leak in my fridge. He was estimated to arrive between 12-2pm on Sat (the next day). The repairman called at 12 noon to say he was on his way and he arrived at 12:35. I have a Maytag/Whirlpool fridge which he said is 'his least favorite' and his customers as well. I asked why and he said because repairing these products (washers included) are not intuitive or easy for professionals and nearly impossible for non-professionals to fix. It did take him roughly 30 mins just to take the tray out of the freezer and 30 mins to put it back in. It took 1 hour for him to fix/clean the tube cap in the drain pipe in the rear. He was very polite, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Despite his struggle with the tray he remained calm, confident and focused. When got proceeded to close out and talk payment this following issue arose. IMPORTANT NOTE on PRICE: The 15% discount for Angie's list users did not apply for me! He told me that AK has told Angie's list that this discount only applies for REPAIRS and not LABOR ONLY visits (he only had to clean the pipes/cap and not technically repair anything or replace anything.) For 6 months, Angie's list has not updated their site to reflect this clarification. Hence, he refused the discount and I felt like I was 'cheated' because I did choose them based on their service ratings and the sample prices. Does Angie's List owe me $18? Does AK? I think somebody does... In the end, this is not too pricey for the work done but the discount would have helped. I also left the 'Quality' rating as NA until I assess whether the leak was actually fixed over the next few days/weeks. He said it should not be a problem for at least 1 year.

The entire experience was positive, from start to finish. Mr. Agazi is a gentlemen and a savvy technician. He showed up on time and ran through the diagnostics logically. I will also note that he's a good listener, which is an important quality that the previous repairman didn't have.

Came within two hours of my call, inspected our electric dryer, diagnosed that the fuse in the starter switch had blown, replaced that, and installed a new vent hose. Terrific service! We will definitely call AK Appliance again.

We called a few days before Christmas and they came out promptly to repair our freezer. The technician called when he was on his way and was very friendly once he arrived.

Discovered motor turned off and hose was disconnected. Agazi came on short notice late afternoon on the Friday after Christmas and stayed late to finish the job, even ran out to Lowes to get a new clamp. He also cleaned out our filter and gave advice for the future. The dishwasher has been working well since. Would definitely use them for future appliance repairs.
