AK Appliance Repair

I have hired Agazi on previous occasions to repair a dryer and a stove. These were simple repairs and were done properly. I recently hired him again to fix a 3-year old dishwasher that had a small leak. Unfortunately my experience this time was not as good. I paid him $194 upfront and after replacing 2 small parts in the door itself that did not do anything to fix the problem he told me to contact someone else because he had no solutions. I contacted another appliance repair. The first thing that person did was to look under the dishwasher and, based on the location of the puddle of water, he was able to figure out the issue. I asked Agazi to refund my money since the parts that he put in did not need to be replaced. He refunded only $51. I was disappointed that he did not have the knowledge to fix my problem.

Saved us money by repairing our unit. We needed dishwasher repair a while later and called AK Appliance Repair. Very recommended!

It went very well. Washer/dryer are stacked in a very tight closet area. It required getting extra equipment to get them out and separated so the washer could be repaired. Repairs have now been made and he helped us get the washer/dryer on a new rolling base so future repairs will be much easier. I would highly recommend them.

OK. Straightforward repair. I think price was a little high.

SAME DAY SERVICE AND REPAIR!!! The scheduled me for next day (July 4th, wow), but said they had a guy in the area and if he had time, he could at least look at my dryer. He stopped by, 2 hours later, diagnosed the problem, left to get the part and had my dryer fixed within 2 hours. The cost was very reasonable.

The excellent tech, Dmytro, explored all the possible causes and isolated one switch that was broken. He brought a new one from his truck and replaced it within half an hour. I have used AK Appliances in the past and have been extremely pleased. This time was no exception.

they were able to get the part in one day. Came to house for evaluation one day and repaired the next day with the new part. Always came to house at time promised.

The repair didn't take long, and the dryer is still going strong! Yay!

AK Appliance came out the very next day after I called them. They came during late hours (which is a huge help for those with working schedules). The tech was friendly and polite. AK Appliance even fixed the dishwasher in the most cost effective way (not replacing optional parts). I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone! 5/5 stars!

Mr. AK (Agazi Kidane) came out when he said he would, diagnosed the problem, arranged to order the needed part, came back and installed it -- all in three days. When he was putting in the new motor, however, he noticed the door hinges were worn and about to fail, so he got hold of the parts and replaced the hinges as well. Masterly work in every phase of the operation. Mr. Kidane is certified on Bosch appliances and other high-tech brands and really knows what he's doing. He's also genial and a delight to talk to.

Asked to look at Ice Maker for hollow ice cubes -- inspected and no issues found, offered to replace unit if doesn't fit. His repair did not help. I ended up going through it myself and all it needed was to exchange the water filter - works perfectly Gas Stove ignitors were not working properly - some adjustments made and still with the same issue. Overall, paid $285 and nothing is fixed.

Initially, we were very pleased when they scheduled the appointment for the same day. Our appointment window was from 2-4pm. By 5pm we had not heard from the techinician, so we called. He stated that if we haven't from the technician by 4pm then they would reschedule. We had to point out that it was now 5pm. He told us the technician would be on his way in a few minutes. He never showed. We received a phone call around 7:45pm stating the tech would still come if we wanted him too. At this point, we did not want to do business with this company.

Called for service, repair was done same day. Very reasonably priced, kind and professional service.

AK communicated very well - setting a date/time for visit, calling before arriving, and telling us when he would be back with the necessary part.. He called ahead for the second visit and was always timely and courteous.

My ice maker stopped working. After checking on Angie's List I selected AK Appliance Repair. When I called, the phone was answered immediately and I was able to schedule the repair for the next day. The owner of the business was also the service technician. After doing some diagnostics he replaced the original ice maker with a new one. Then he did some more diagnostics and determined that it was not the ice maker but a sensor. He removed the new ice maker, returned the original one and then installed the new sensor. That was the problem all along and everything is now working well. One thing that impressed me greatly was that he could have left in the new ice maker, also replaced the sensor and charged for both. I would never have known the difference. He was knowledgeable,prompt, thorough, friendly and honest. Pretty much all I would want in a repairman.

I noticed a large puddle of water coming from the back of my dishwasher that leaked onto my hardwood floors, as I ran my dishwasher. It was a real mess! I called AK Appliance Repair (after reading the reviews on Angie's List) and spoke with Agazi. He offered to come out the same day. He called an hour before out preset time and arrived promptly. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The problem was not a simple fix and after two hours of working on the issue, he repaired the leak, which was coming from two areas. After completing the job, he asked for a broom to clean up the area where he had been working. I was thrilled that he was able to fix the problem, especially on the same day that I called him. I would not hesitate to call him for any appliance repair jobs in the future. Thank you so much for the quick response to my call and for finding a solution to the problem. I am a very satisfied customer!

The install went well, the provider took his time to diagnose the problem and made sure that the appliance was operating properly before reinstalling the appliance. He even repaired one of the kitchen faucets as a bonus.

Agazi did a great job. He replaced the failing heat element and suggested that the Hi & Lo limiters should also probably be replaced since they would now be working with the higher temps of a new heat element and there was a good chance they would fail in the near future. Even though replacing these made him a bit more, I agreed with his logic and there was no pressure to do so, he was simply stating the facts. The machine is 6 years old and the parts will likely fail soon requiring another service call to take it apart again to replace them so he was right - just do it now while he has it apart. Agazi was conscientious and thorough in his work, and honest in his appraisal and price. I'm keeping his card handy for the next appliance that goes out.

They were able to make a same day service call which was extremely helpful given planned travel. I can't thank them enough. Punctual, quality work, and fair price. What more could you want?

They taught me a lot about my washing machine and explained why there were so many issues with it. They were very thorough and patient. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I was very surprised when Mr. Kidane answered my call on New Year's Day and promptly scheduled a service visit for the following day (service on a holiday weekend!!). He called as promised before he arrived and he came well within the promised service call time. He had the necessary replacement part on his service vehicle and the repair was done promptly and professionally. He even cleaned the area after his work! This is at least the third time that we have had service performed by AK Appliance Repair .. I am very pleased by the friendliness, professionalism, fair pricing, and excellent service that the company provides, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and neighbors.
