We blow off all hard surfaces to protect our waterways, our fertilizer lasts 30% to 50% longer upon request we will knock before each application to discuss current conditions. I referred you to them to see if they did Angie's List deals. Unfortunately, they do not work with Angie's List. Believe me, we would love to service your property as we are always looking to take on new customers and help them with their lawns. This hurts us just as much if not more than you. Description of Work: I asked the sales team to call me and tell me what I needed for my lawn, and was prepared to be up sold. My lawn needed fertilizing badly, and wanted the convenience their service was supposed to provide. However, there was no phone call (as requested), or evidence of any work done or fertilizer applied other than a tiny flag in my yard. I'm not sure what I paid for, because my lawn looks no different. Additionally, there was no follow up by the company to gauge my satisfaction.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal through Angie's List for Weed Man to do a first time application of pre-emergent and weed control on the front lawn. They came a few days later than they initially scheduled, but did call one day prior to service. Within a week, all the weeds were gone! I signed up for routine applications every 6ish weeks.

Description of Work: OK, you requested this: |The Angie's List "Big Deal" I signed up for was for 10,000 square feet of pre-emergent and fertilizer to be applied by The Weed Man. When The Weed Man technician arrived a few days later he advised my wife that that's NOT what his work order described and that he had been instructed to merely "spot spray" for broad-leaf weeds (he was courteous and professional at all times; this error was his company's fault; not his). This was already very late during the time of year when all horticultural schedules call for the application of pre-emergent/crabgrass preventer (pre-Spring) to fescue lawns like mine. |As soon as I realized that Weed Man had failed to apply the pre-emergent I contacted Angie's List, relying on the nice lady's repeated assurances on Angie's List TV Ads that if anything goes wrong when a customer uses Angie's List, her company would "Make it right!" A bureaucratic hassle ensued. Apparently Angie's List initially spent several days trying to get The Weed Man to return to my home and apply the pre-emergent, but that never happened. Rather, nothing happened and there seemed to be a lot of red tape at Angie's List end. In the meantime, "time marched on" and Springtime this year came early to Atlanta (where I live). Eventually it became too late to apply the pre-emergent (the weeds and crabgrass began to emerge). | I THINK I finally got a refund on my credit card account - I haven't verified that yet -- but as a result of this SNAFU (and my reliance on Angie's List and Weed Man), I missed an important window of opportunity to apply the chemical my lawn needed at the appropriate time. I'm very disappointed in both companies. | |
