Weed Man of Roswell

Overall pretty well. The crabgrass appears to be dying. Can't tell much with the fertilizer but lawn is healthy. Communication was rather poor. No call in advance of showing up to either survey the lawn or return to do the work.

Weed an was responsive and set up the treatment as soon as the weather would allow. They also made sure to call the day before as requested so we could plan for watering. They had to reschedule due to weather and let us know they would be delayed. It has been about 3 weeks now and our yard is continuing to improve. We will most likely sign up for a year of service once we have finished a landscape project that will add a considerable amount of sod to our yard (need to get a new quote).

We we're not at home but he agreed to come in and perform the service, so I did not have a chance to speak to him on the condition of the lawn. He left a short report on the condition of the lawn and the types of weeds we have, which was nice. However my expectations were a little disappointed since its now 3 weeks later and I can definitely see that the Fertilizer application is working since the grass (and weeds) are growing at quite a rate. I was however expecting to some dead weeds or reduced growth, but that does not seem to be the case. ---Update--- I did get a call from the Weedman office and they agreed to come out and do a 2nd free Weed treatment which is really good customer service. The weeds did reduce subsequent to this 2nd treatment. After this application I contracted a lawn care company so I cannot say for sure how effective this treatment was in the weeks thereafter.

1st service, nothing changed. 48 hours after their second "treatment" on 05/22/13, 100% of ENTIRE LAWN was dead, having turned completely brown. Their personnel denied all culpability. Offered to try to "fix" our problem with still another treatment (for which they wanted us to pay). Claimed it was "brown patch" - an impossibility for that time of year and for the cool weather conditions at the time. Other lawn care professionals with whom we checked said that this was a completely bogus claim. We have witnesses, including the President of our Architectural Committee, who saw the whole thing happen. Also have photographic history. We had to re-sod the yard - at this point, at our expense. Neighbors in the community know about it now. After multiple efforts at describing the problem and requesting help, and with Weedman of Roswell claiming no fault, a lawsuit is pending. We have never encountered any (non) service like this ever before. Having owned a successful company where my staff was on the property of thousands of consumers over many years, I have been shocked at their incompetence and outright untruths. I cannot urge more strongly to stay away from Weedman of Rowsell.

They were nice enough, but their quote was too high at $49 a treatment.

I was contacted by the provider and a appointment was scheduled for 8/7/13 @ Noon, it rained hard that day and I did not hear back from the technician (either way) I already had plans for 8/8/13 and when I returned home late in the afternoon I noticed the little card stuck in the grass saying the yard had been sprayed and a note was left in the door. I don't really know if the whole yard was done or not ?

Technician (Bobby) very professional and helpful in advice. We trust him.

I have been with all the bigger lawn care companies and never seemed to find one to give us the care we felt our lawn needed. We heard about Weedman through some friends and we called to set up a quote and inspection of our lawn,they were out the next day and provided the first service within a few days. Since the beginning of the year our technitian brad has really done a good job getting our lawn looking better and we have allowed them to start treating more property that we own we are very happy with the service and look forward to a long working relationship

They have been great. I have used them for about 8 years now. They take care of everything and inform me of any issues that may need to addressed.

They do a great job. They call us the day before they come out. I have recommended them to others. They are good and we like them. Their prices are very reasonable.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chris when he came to my home to put down summer fertilizer/weed control. We went over the lawn and some spots where we were seeing different types of grasses and weeds. He took his time to educate me on some of these and provide some suggestions to help the health of the lawn. We also discussed a new type of bug that was enjoying our zoysia grass this year called two lined spittlebugs (http://apps.caes.uga.edu/urbanag/home&garden/indexfs.cfm?storyid=2539). Chris was very professional and personable. We are glad he is taking care of our lawn and appreciate the customer service he and the rest of the Weed Man crew provides. Thanks!

I’ve been using them for a few years now, and everything is going well. The lawn is in good shape thanks to them.

Everything is going well, and I have no problems with their service. They have actually proven to be an honest and reliable company.

They seem to be very professional and knowledgeable, and I am satisfied with the services that they are providing. Additionally, they are doing a much better job than the larger firms that I have used previously.

I have been using Weed Man for years, and it has been a great experience. They are punctual, employ a good crew, and charge fair prices.

It's been a great experience. We actually discontinued the service for a few months because our regular lawn maintenance firm claimed that it could do the treatments. However, the lawn started to deteriorate shortly after that. Naturally, we hired him again, and the lawn is doing well.

My husband and I bought our first home in 2009. By 2010 we had successfully killed our lawn for the most part due to inexperience. This was when I called in Weed Man of Roswell to help us. They have been fertilizing and overseeding our lawn for nearly three years now. They were honest that it would take a few years to restore it and they were spot on. They have managed to take our shaded backyard from nothing but weeds to a full fescue lawn! Our front lawn gets constant compliments from neighbors and looks like a plush green carpet. I have managed to get several of our neighbors to use them as well! I am very happy with their service, pricing, and professionalism and will continue to have them maintain our lawn for a long time to come!

I love Weed Man. They charge $47 per treatment and I am on a 7-treatment yearly schedule. The price is very reasonable and they are courteous. I like their service and they treat a lot of lawns in the neighborhood. Their customer service is wonderful and they do free touch-ups; if I have any weeds that come back they come back out for free.

They have excellent costumer service. I've come to know them when they came door-to-door a while back. They come back and re-visit the lawn for no charge, make sure you are happy with the results and they always call with different specials for seasonal work like aeration.

I have had a real problem since then because in December the technician came back while I was at work and apparently fertilized the lawn. I did not request this work to be done and I called the company that day to tell them that they had no authorization to do this work and that I would not pay them for work I had requested. At the time I was told that the problem would be taken care of and I would not have to pay for the December service (note that I had paid for the service I did request via debit card over the phone when I requested it to be done.) Since December I have gotten two statements from the company. Each time I have called to notify them of their error and that I do not owe them any money. Two days ago a message was left on my home phone saying the they were going to put my "account" into collections. As a result I now must draft a letter and send it to them (certified) demanding that they acknowledge the fact that I do not owe them any money. I also must pull my credit reports in a month or so to see if a an inaccurate statement has been reported. There are many lawn care companies around Atlanta and I have to believe that most of them are reputable so there is no reason to put yourself through the punishment of doing business with Weed Man of Roswell. UPDATED ON 04/11/2012: Since I sent the certified letter outlined in my last post documenting that I did not ask for nor would I be willing to pay for the December services I got two communications from Weed Man: 1). I got a message on my voicemail stating that my account had a zero balance and was closed. 2). About a week later I got a 10 day demand letter threatening to send my account to collections. At this point in time I am determining if it is worth taking a day off to take Weed Man of Roswell to court to settle the matter once and for all.

They usually charge $41 a visit and $70 when they aerate the lawn. It is usually $41 when they come out and do weed control in the grass and other services like that. They do it 6 or 7 times throughout the year. The first time they came out; it was actually free because I had his referral. Overall, the first weed cleaning was free. The next time they came and aerated the yard for $70 and they are here almost once a month at $41 a visit. Their price is slightly better than some of their competitors. I am using them now and I would use them again in the future.

I've been using these guy's for about two years. I'm looking for someone else at this time. I believe they burnt up my yard this summer with fertilizer, and of course they said they didn't. The yard was looking pretty good, and after a treatment, it turned brown within a week. I called them, and that's when I decided I wasn't dealing with professionals. They were very condescending. We have neighbors doing practically nothing to their yards and they look fine. I"m having disease control, weed control, lime and fertilizer, and I reseed and aureate every fall; however, my yard is one of the worst in the neighborhood. I really do blame Weed Man of Roswell. I no longer use the Weed Man.

I have been using them for years. They are very reliable. If they need to retreat the lawn they will come out very promptly. The retreating is always free. They are very professional.
