I’ve had Weedman Lawn Care taking care of my lawn since early 2022. Since that time, my lawn has improved the most in its 21 years of existence. Service has been outstanding, and I’ve been able to meet the techs on most occasions to express different concerns. They’ve met my expectations for what I want in lawn care.

Awful service and even more terrible, their customer service. The back portion of my lawn was completely ruined because of their neglect, and it's taken months to repair it after I cancelled my service with them. I was very specific and particular about the areas of my lawn that required attention; asked for a sign to be placed in each of the areas so that I knew that the areas had been addressed; plus, to notify me the day prior to arrival of the pending service; and each time, no notification and repeated missed areas of service. And I endured this for several months, many more months than I should have, but I was promised each time that it would improve, and it never did. And even when they assured me that service was complete, I could witness both visually in the yard that certain areas weren't treated, and, I have cameras that provide coverage of my entire property, where I could see that the technicians did not treat. And then lastly, after I closed my account and cancelled my service, they had the nerve to ask me to pay full price for my last service--a service where they only treated the front of my lawn and not the back. The nerve of them; their utter ineptness; and lack of professionalism and commitment to quality. I definitely would not recommend them for service.

I stopped using weedman after I had been with them for years. I've worked with Deanna F over the last month and she has been on top of everything. She emails me and asks how the service was after the workers come out and she follows up with me after 2 weeks to find out if they need to come back out to treat the weeds. This is much better than it was before. I have an inside person who works there and she is very helpful. I feel like I have the best of both worlds now

Poor service, deceptive practices. I work from home with a dog that will bark at anything that comes remotely close to my door. Out of my first three services, they only treated my lawn once, but charged me for all three. They "retreated" when I complained the first time. The second time they sent a supervisor to tell me they had treated and that I needed to wait for the treatment to take affect. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited while the weeds continued to grow and spread. After I complained a third time, they were only willing to give me half off a future round, yet I gave them another opportunity. When they didn't come yet again, I asked to speak to a live person , but never received a callback. I've thankfully come to my senses and canceled, but wanted others to be forewarned.

I was informed by WeedMan on Jan 31, 2022 by voice mail that someone was coming out to treat my lawn the next day. This concerned me because I thought my contract that I had negotiated with them was over. I immediately called their office (during office hours) to ask them to not come out. No one answered the phone. I waited a while and called again (still during business hours) hoping to stop the sevice. Again, no one answered the phone. I'm pretty sure at this point I sent a message via their portal. Since I couldn't get through by phone (again, I called twice during business hours), I was hoping to catch the person the next day at my house before they made the application. Eventhough I kept an eye out, I missed them before they made the application. Anyone that uses them knows that they come and do the applications in a matter of minutes. In the past, WeedMan had worked with me in negotiating an annual contract each year. I had decided that this year I would handle things myself as I have the time to do so. I was surprised to see that they were continuing service this year without informing me. WeedMan has a "continuous service" verbal contract. This means that unless you call them and stop service, they will be back without informing you that a new year has started. I let WeedMan know that I tried to call them (I have records of this) to stop service but they insist on continue to bill me for the application. I was also charged over $60 for the service that I was paying $40 something dollars for in the past. Bottom line: I called to stop the service twice and because no one answered the phone during business hours, I get stuck with constant billing (at a much higher rate) for that one application. I have stopped any future service with them.

This is our yard that Weed Man has been treating. You are seeing it right…it’s all dirt. We moved into this house Oct 2020 and we bought the house because of the backyard. It was a beautiful oasis, absolutely lush and green, exactly what we wanted for our 4 kids. The previous owners used Weed man so we continued all the services they had so that the yard would stay beautiful. Early in the summer we started noticing brown patches, so we called and emailed Weed man and they sent someone out. We would wait, literally sitting in the front office on a technician to arrive and no one ever did, we would call, they would say that someone did come but we were waiting and no one ever did. They would even try to bill us for services that performed. By July after much digging , calling, speaking to customer services, sending multiple emails with pictures of our yard, etc. We discovered they had been treating our neighbors yard instead of ours. The technician admitted to it and was very apologetic. Weed man agreed to pay to get our yard back to its lush state. Since then we have had to stay on top of them, frequent calls, emails, follow ups after multiple no shows, etc. Many people have left in the process, Dylan the manager now was a technician back late summer, but has been moved up to management bc so many people have quit. I had one customer service rep tell me my complaint is one of many, that they hear this all the time, and he had put his notice in as well. Sounds like it a terrible company from the top down to the customers. Dylan came out and walked the yard with my husband the first of December after many requests on our part. He said he would be out the following week and has yet to come. He has stopped returning our phone calls as well. I would not recommend this company yo anyone. They cannot be trusted, our family has cried many tears about our yard. It’s where our family plays together, entertains, hosts birthday parties, and get together for our youth group. This is what weed man has done to our yard and there is no accountability for it.

My lawn has continued to lessen in appearance since we began using their service. They just show up and then call about the dogs being in the yard. The treatments have NOT worked - weeds increased each year and all Weedman wanted to do was add more services. I tried the additional and it did not work. Two months ago they offered to send a senior technician to walk the yard with me, I agreed - they never came! Got charges for service I DID NOT authorize. Will NEVER use Weedman of Roswell again!

New homeowner new sod and to get the discount I prepaid for the services for the entire year. I have received I guess only 6 services with free follow-up service as weeds were out of control but I received invoice for 8 services. I have called them multiple times to rectify it, but it seems it came from one ear and passed through the other ear. Once they did service on my neighbor's lot and sent me the invoice. 2 times they just put the sticker and sent the invoice of service. Both the times I caught them using neighbor's and My security camera feeds. Today its the third time that I received invoice but service is not done. So to summarize - 1) Poor quality of service (As I didn't see any effect on weeds) 2) Very Unprofessional service as you can't trust them 3) Very slow response from customer care. I am definitely not signing up with them for next year and will suggest all my friends who will moving to their new home nearby (~21) to not use WeedMan for the service. I Hope My review can be helpful

I prepaid $422 for the summer treatment and after 20 years of lawn service with numerous companues - Weedman is the worst. They are dishonest and do not know how to control weeds. We can see on our cameras Their people came to the house put a sign out and never treated the lawn or walked the yard. Their own managers came out and said the weeds looked bad and should have been treated. They said they would send a tech out asap. No tech ever came. I contacted them 19 times over the summer, no one has time for this company. When I asked for my money back for the summer treatments they declined. I recommend using any other company but this one.

Summary: FLEE THE WEEDMAN. They’re like the weeds they’re supposed to remove. Once Weedman is in your home, it’s hard to get rid of them. Weedman continues to charge you after your prepaid treatment plan is finished. And then they send you a bill every month for these new services. I want to stop being harassed by Weedman for services I did not request. Details: This review is not about Weedman’s lawn care services. It is about their distasteful business practices. I signed up for Weedman’s lawn care services in 2020. I paid for all the treatments up front. I did NOT request services beyond 2020. In early 2021, I received a bill from Weedman charging me for two new services – once in January and February each. I called Weedman to have these charges removed, because I had not requested the services. The first time, a customer service representative said they would take care of it. Next month I got another bill. My nephew and I have now tried talking to multiple people at Weedman, through emails or phone calls – all to no avail. Here is their position: Weedman characterizes itself as a "continuous service," says it has an "auto-renewal" policy, and said I had to call in advance to cancel treatments. I asked for the written agreement that outlines this arrangement. There is none. They base the agreement on oral discussions and marketing literature. They say because we didn’t cancel future services, we are required to pay them. Weedman's position appears to be that customers should pay for something that they didn't request, simply because they didn't say no. This practice would be similar to someone with a sponge walking up to your car at a stop light, washing your car without permission, and then saying that you owe them money, because you didn't explicitly refuse the services. Not only is this arrangement not written in any contract, it’s poor business practice. Their law care services overall were fine, but their harassment afterwards is causing me emotional distress and has left a bad taste in my mouth. What a shame. I am telling all my friends and neighbors: FLEE THE WEEDMAN before they hook you too.

Not only is my yard still have many weeds but the weeds they did kill have been taken over by Bermuda because they treated the weeds in the middle of Bermuda growing season when fescue is more dormant. And Bermuda is invasive so now i have a yard with brown patches of Bermuda (it’s going dormant), green patches of fescue, bald patches in the back where grass won’t grow, and lots of weeds still. My beautiful yard is ruined and can only be fixed by me killing all the grass and reseeding next fall meaning i won’t have a yard until a year from this summer or i can pay to have it sodded. Either option is huge time, effort, and monetary strain during a global pandemic. They are unethical. They lie. They never show up when they say they will. They call and text you constantly about buying more services they never explain. The managers keep saying one thing and the technicians say something completely different. The technicians have basically told me the management is lying to me about my options. They aren’t giving me important time sensitive details on what needs to be done. And now are staying my expectations are too high and they are not going to work with me anymore. After 9 months of talking, 5 different manager visits, 10+ different technicians coming out, and a ruined yard i am not sure what they thought my expectations would be. They were only to have a weed free, green year round, fescue yard. I don’t think that was asking much from a weed service. I have now had a lawn care specialist out who said they would sue if someone did this to their yard. Maybe that’s where we are headed.

I hired Weedman in late 2019, to take care of my lawn (fertilizer, weed control, etc..) in 2020. I prepaid based off an email offer that was sent to me by one of their representatives. I should have known that the relationship would be rocky from the start when they argued and tried to not honor a commitment that their employee had made. Once we worked through that issue, however, I was hopeful that things would be better. After all, all they must do is show up and do the service that is required.... nothing too special. I learned that I was wrong again. On one occasion, we were told that the lawn had been treated. The only issue is, we were home at the time and out on the back deck the entire time. At no point did we hear or see anyone in our back yard. Upon reviewing our security camera footage, yes, the truck showed up, the tech got out, he did something around his truck for a while, stuck a sign in the yard, and left. I sent a note to complain and they dispatched a tech out to review my claim about 2 weeks later. That tech claimed work was done, how he would know is still a mystery to me, and then left without a retreat. If that were the only issue, I'm pretty sure I would have just moved on. Nope! Per an email solicitation, I signed up to have my yard aerated and organically fertilized. One treatment was supposed to be in spring / summer and another in fall. BOTH treatments were done within 4 weeks of each other effectively destroying my yard. When I called to get an explanation, I was told that a manager or quality control person would call me back. Nope. When I emailed, to get an explanation, I got the same response and no follow up. In fact, to this day, no one has bothered to call or follow up. the only time someone calls is when they're trying to sell something more. when I tell them of my frustration, I get apologies and a promise that someone will call me. My phone still hasn't rung. I could continue to go on and on over the hollow promises, but I think you get the point. essentially, you will only hear from Weedman when they want more money. If you have a complaint or are dissatisfied, no one will be available to address your concerns or return a phone call. I would suggest using someone other than this service.
Description of Work: DO NOT HIRE. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR LAWN AND ONLY CALL YOU WHEN THEY WANT MORE MONEY. WEEDMAN ROSWELL ARE LIARS.

Hopefully this helps someone! Weed Man provided a weed service for my lawn for six months that I agreed to and paid upfront. The service failed to make any improvement to my lawn and Weed Man decided to continue providing a monthly service and tried to bill me for it, despite no contractual agreement for service after the six months. This company has refused to drop this charge and continues to bill me with interest. The bill is $50 and they’ve decided to SEND IT TO COLLECTIONS.

We are a continuous service meaning that we come out month to month and year to year unless we are told otherwise. We are not a contractual service in any way. We disclose this information to all of our customers when they start with us. We actually send three separate continuous letters throughout the year to our customers homes and via email as well. Unless you called in to cancel, we still provide services and as a result you are charged accordingly. My mom signed up for an annual program for her yard. Despite this, over the course of the year, weeds have started to take over her yard and it looks worse than it ever has. Weed Man staff said they would come back to apply extra treatments and did not show up when they said they would. Even when trying to cancel, Weed Man staff attempted to upsell my mom.

This is by far the best lawn weeding service we have ever had. They are always very careful to call twice before each application. My techs have been very friendly and informative. My lawn looks very nice. They do a good job. It took about 15 minutes for the work to be completed. My interaction with him is very good. They take good care of my lawn. It always looks nice. They clean up very well after themselves.

The service was fine, but the hard sell solicitation calls are brutal.
Description of Work: I bought a weed treatment deal and have been getting harassed with phone solicitations ever since. It's been over a year now, I've asked many times to be removed from their call list, yet I continue to get calls. Be warned, if they get your phone number they will crush you with hard sell calls at all times of day and all days of week.

So far, it looks pretty good. So I'm happy with the results. The weeds are definitely much better than when I was trying to do it myself. The fall treatments, in particular, seem to have headed off the usual early spring weeds. The one issue I have is that they make a point of telling us to communicate with them if there are extra weeds so they can come back and address them. I did have an area of more weeds than was reasonable, so I called & left a message. I never heard back from them. The issue seems to have taken care of itself since the bermuda is coming in strong and crowding out weeds. Maybe they actually did come out, but how would I know if they never called me back?
Description of Work: I signed up for the weed service, it was discounted for two months and then full price after that.
