Weed Man of Roswell

seems to be going well judging from the lawn. Customer services is good with follow up calls and suggestions.

Be it know that I am providing this review a few weeks after a second treatment provided by Weed Man. Weed Man originally visited my house in March, a few days after I purchased the Angie's List Full Weed and Control Treatment. They do not give you an exact time, nor do they ring the bell, as I was home the entire day. I found a sign in my yard and a receipt on my door, which let me know the treatment had been applied. I really would've liked to have been notified that they would be treating so I could provide some input, but that isn't the end of the world. Unfortunately, it was a rather rainy week, including the day after the treatment. After waiting a few weeks to notice any changes, it was evident that the treatment did not have much affect on the weeds in my yard. I called Weed Man again, and was directed to a polite gentleman. He and I spoke, and, although it is their stated policy that no second treatments are to be performed with the Angie's List deal, he decided to do a bit more research. He looked up the Technician's notes, and confirmed the rain. As I would hope, he accepted my request for a second treatment. A few days later, a technician rang my doorbell, and we spoke briefly. He agreed that the weeds were still an issue, but he didn't want to burn out my yard by doing another full treatment. He decided to treat with a bit less ferocity, and that was fine with me, as I leave the expertise to the professionals. He was very professional. He performed the treatment and left. Happily, after another week or so, the weeds began to yellow, and are now much less of an issue. Overall, I have been very satisfied with Weed Man and their customer service. I rated a "B" mainly because I had to call for a second treatment. Obviously, it would be somewhat unrealistic for them to double-back and check every yard treated just before a rainy day, but checking back via phone for customer input may be a good idea. Thanks again Weed Man, I will certainly consider using you in the future!

The deal said they would analyze the lawn and let us know any recommendation .That never happened .I did get a call after a few days for not sure what that was about .I never got time to return that call .What went well is the treatment itself .After a week or so the weeds were gone completely .it was better than i expected so i may use them again .

The team was very professional, and did everything we asked of them unsupervised. The results were excellent. The only issue was the slight delay (a couple days) in when they said they'd be here to completed the work. Having said that, we were not a regular customer on a route with them, so they had to fit us into their existing customer schedule.

Everything went well. They left written recommendations for us. I am pleased with the work.

showed up on time. left a bill for 29. I sent a check. they called me to say that I already paid thru Angis list and would I like a check refund or another free service. Because of their honesty I signed up with them

Experience was positive. Killed the weeds and like the partnering with customers to maintain a healthy, vibrant lawn.

My husband ordered this job before he left town, so I was on hand the day the work was done. The worker who came was pleasant, knowledgeable, and conscientious. He mentioned to me specifically that he would take care to avoid my roses. When he arrived, I was in the house getting ready to go out. He was already winding the hose onto the spool when I rushed out to speak to him. Our yard set-up is a bit confusing, and I pointed out that he didn't do the whole yard. He pulled the hose back out to complete the job without complaining. He also suggested that I contact the company about how the yard is set up the next time someone came out to do the job, so that they would be sure to do the entire yard. The chemicals worked very well. We raked up the dead weeds and grass before the next mowing, and it looks pretty good. My only complaint is that, despite the care he took around the roses, he got the product on two of the bushes. One of the poisoned bushes will not survive, and I will be pulling it up soon. I had hoped to save it, but it is dying rapidly. The other may or may not survive, so I will cut it way back and wait to see. Other than the problem with the roses, I was very pleased. It certainly was a good price with the Groupon!

Product not good. Weeds got worse. Offered contract for further treatment. Too pricey.

The herbicide killed most of the weeds, but the technician wasn't careful about distributing the fertilizer. In some spots, there was too much fertilizer, and burned some grass, so not happy about that. Also, several places he had sprayed too much concentration of herbicide, so some areas the grass turned yellow as well.

Says part of Dekalb, but apparently not my part, and I am less than 1 mile south of I-20. They never even contacted me to tell me so. I guess they just take your cash and keep it and hope you don't bother to find out. I called to ask about it and all I got was "we don't service below I-20, call Angieslist for a refund". Guess what? I am actually moving to Roswell in three weeks, and all I have to say is that I will make my opinion of Weedman of Roswell clear to anyone who will listen. Additionally, my parents use them (they do go all the way out to Douglasville, go figure) and recommended them to me for this ONE TIME SERVICE (as stated I am actually moving to Roswell in three weeks) and I will let my new neighbors know of the extremely deceptive and poor service I have experienced from Weedman of Roswell.

Good, was not aware when they were coming , but they left an evaluation and receipt.

Right now it seems to be okay, but they just came today and I have no idea if it's going to work or not. I didn't pay anything else for the Big Deal. I'm not sure how it's going to work with killing the weeds and all that stuff because they just were here this evening. The price was reasonable. It was okay. They were very responsive.

They called to solicit my business, promised a free treatment and discounted price for favorable reviews, never followed up as promised, treated lawn once for full price, didn't get free treatment, can't get them on the phone - unhappy customer.

I'm going to use them again!

Still have a lot of weeds. They won"t do post emergent spray unless I sign a contract for over $400 dollars for 8 treatments over the summer. I don't need some of the treatments and I am not sure they know what my yard needs based on the first treatment. Big pressure to get commitment and I could not determine if they had catered the proposal specific to my yard. needs

I have to reapply the weed stuff. It didn't kill the weeds

I gave specific instructions to the provider not to do anything to my yard until he had spoken with me first. I made arrangements to be home when they said they would come. He showed up at my home and did the work without even letting me know that he was there. He treated my grass with chemicals that should not have been used on the type of grass that I have. I caught him as he was leaving – didn’t realize that he was there and that is how I found out what he had done. I am concerned that the chemicals he used will damage my grass and I am very upset with them doing the work without discussing it with me first as I asked. He also said that my yard needed aeration but the specialist that I have spoken with says that my grass should not be aerated.

I honestly do not know yet. I have only been with them for a month. Time will tell.

I’m getting sod installed and was told to not put any treatment because the sod will not take

They supposedly applied the products on 2/23/15. I waited all day till 5:00 PM for them to show up before I finally had to get ready for an appointment. According to their records, they finally showed up at 5:10 while I was unavailable and they did not knock. Several times I have requested they knock and let me know they have arrived but only once have they ever done it. I have no idea if they did anything, but I called them about 10 days later an advised them that no weeds were dying and the lawn did not appear to be achieving a spring green up. They said they would come back out. After waiting over a week for them to come I finally sprayed the weeds myself and applied a modest amount fertilizer. (Since I did not know if they had applied fertilizer, I was concerned about applying extra myself. This just demonstrates how unprofessional service can cause extra problems. I am also very concerned the pre-emergent was not applied.) Also it must be noted that I got a call from a Weed Man representative a couple of days after I called. The call turned into a confrontational phone call because he couldn't understand that offering a free service call does not make amends for bad service. I advised him that I don't want a free bad service. He was so indignant that I rejected his offer that he yelled and hung up. As for last year, they did a good job of aerating the yard and a so-so job of applying the grass seed. Since they had seeded our yard the previous year I knew they would miss any crevices or small areas that their seeder wouldn't hit. I had them leave a small amount of grass seed so I could go out and seed those areas. They did not leave any starter fertilizer, so I had to buy a small bag. Also, I waited till now to do the review so I can see how well the over seeding looked this Spring. We have a couple of new unwanted grasses showing up in the yard as well as a host of weeds. A neighbor who used their services has the same grasses. I am concerned that they use a poor grade of seed. They claim they use one of rhw best seed avaialable. Also, the stand of grass is not that thick in most areas. I watered for 12 days to assure the seed would germinate.

They completed five treatments and I still had weeds everywhere. Random clumps of who knows what I asked them to ID, but they never did. They offered a free follow-up after the first treatment, which they cancelled. They were always trying to up-sell me to other needless services for a lot of money. Also pushed for me to pay for a year in advance. Thank goodness I didn't, but I'm still out ~$200. I'll probably be re-sodding in the next few weeks, because I don't know how anyone could fix this.

I no longer need deal. I need more than one application since lawn is in bad shape.
