The technician that they sent out was very professional. He showed up on time, gave us the quote, and two days later, he completed the work. He was very helpful and explained everything, too. He did a great job and we were pretty impressed!

Very good! The agent that answered the phone seemed very knowledgeable and started the diagnostic process on that call. After hearing me, she suggested her 'best tech for troubleshooting this kind of problem" and sent him out.

They would NOT give me a ballpark dollar figure for work no matter what I asked them. Very frustrating! Insisted on coming out to house for which they of course had a fee.

Very professional electrician replaced all requested items in about an hour and did not test the replaced outlet after replacing. He only informed me that the outlet would be difficult to plug in as I had purchased an outlet that was the new type that prevente young children from inserting items into it. Looking back, I think that was somewhat odd, but at the time, assumed that it was done. I know that all electricians require a large fee, however, I feel that the cost, though probably not out of line, was exorbitant!! I will probably not use this company again even though the service was prompt and the electrician was very professional. I was very disappointed in this company as they have such a high rating with Angie's List.

I was thrilled to get a same-day appointment. We were given a 2-hour service window, and our technician, Nick, gave me a heads-up call 30 minutes in advance. Not only did he arrive exactly when I expected, but also he was really professional and pleasant to work with. No surprises -- smooth sailing all the way from booking the appointment all the way through getting the problem resolved. Thrasher is a top notch company.

I called Thrasher Electric to come diagnose the problem with the under cabinet lights in my kitchen that had mysteriously gone dark one week before. I had previously had an electrician from Mr. Sparky come to my house for the same problem only he couldn't repair the lights and really pushed his upsale of whole-home surge protection which I was not interested in. I called yesterday and made the appointment for today. Kevin from Thrasher gave a courtesy call as he was on the way. He came in and I described the problem and he explained it would be $129 to diagnose the cause. I told him of my previous Mr. Sparky experience and he noted the switch to the lights had been disconnected and left by Mr. Sparky. He checked the power source and re-connected everything to find out the lights worked. Pretty simple stuff, I'm surprised it was so difficult for Mr. Sparky. Kevin also asked if there were any other electrical needs and I asked him to install the junction box ($128) and check out the circuit box. I am putting my house up for sale in the near future and am not only making sure things look good, but that my electrical passes inspection. I was very happy with my experience with Thrasher Electric and plan to be a repeat customer in the future for any electrical needs.

He arrived and introduced himself at our lake home. He was very courteous and professional. I showed him the dock and electrical box and he looked everything over. He said it was all in working order but there were a few minor things, like wires exposed and bulbs out that he pointed out. He was able to make the repairs in short order. We plan to call them again for our home's repairs when I can get the time to schedule them.

Joaquin was on time, very professional, friendly, and helpful. He did a whole house inspection and then fixed the problem outlets fairly quickly. We had previous home repairs done by various contractors who only mumbled a few words to us so it was a nice change for us to deal with someone who was friendly and communicative.

Thrasher Electricians were awesome! Wayne came in very promptly, gave me an estimate of the work to be done & got right to work, completing the work to our satisfaction. He was a pleasure to work with, very courteous & professional.

We purchased our first new home and needed a few things done. We didn't know what to expect, but Thrasher's reputation on Angie's List made us give them a call. The electrician arrived within the scheduled time slot and even called beforehand to let us know what time he would be there. He put on protective covers over his shoes to protect our brand new hardwood floors. Jim was every knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. One of the three pendants that we had installed had a manufacturing defect and he went above and beyond trying to disassemble the pendant in order to try to fix the problem. We ended up getting a replacement while he worked on the TV, and he was happy to install the replacement. He went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. He did a great job hanging our lights and mounting our TV. Thrasher Electric did a great job and we'll be calling them again for any other work we may have in the future.

The experience was fine; it was good. I found them on Angie's List and their pricing was a little high but they were fantastic. I will us them again in the future.

My experience with them was excellent. We've used them before.

Thrasher charges a fee for coming out of about $30.00. The promised a time between 12 and 2. They did call to say they would waive the charge as their technician was running late. He arrived about 1:58pm - within 2 minutes of the promise time. Price quoted for the job was over $4000.00. Again, this should take an electrician less than a day of work. I had repeatedly asked the comapny representative for an hourly rate or a day rate. I was willing to pay about $800.00 per day which would have been over $70.00 per hour and guarantee a day's pay. They refused and quote only by a job. The technician stated he had to charge a fixed rate per outlet and fixture - and it would be the same rate even though they were spaced less than 5 feet apart. The technician seemed embarrassed he had to quote me this price.....I stated I could wire a small new house for this price. He stated he agreed but this was 'company policy'. He did not offer to call a manager and discuss. Needless to say, I will not be contracting with Thrasher Electric - ever. The price quoted was absurd for one person one day worth of labor and no materials. EDITED ON DEC 1, 2011 As a follow up. a Thrasher rep called me as a follow up on my report of their estimate of over $4000 dollars for one person for one day of work. Instead of working with me and listening to the customer, he was defensive, talked over me, told me that it was 2 days work ( ok, so I guess I am paying $2000 a day now) then went on to say they were a quality electrical company ( I don't remember challenging their quality) and I need a "cheap electrician" (I guess $800 a day rate is cheap). As background, I am an Electrical Engineer and held the job of Americas Construction Leader for GE. I do believe I know something about project estimation in construction. Thrasher wasted my Saturday waiting on an estimate and then follows this telling the customer why they are wrong. One word they can not say of me ..... Customer!

I thought I could do this job and provided the replacement unit. Technician showed me how to replace the old unit, which was different from the new one. He also said he'd try to finish the job before my wife returned home, so I could claim credit for fixing. He performed the job quickly & competently, in a way I'd never thought of doing it.

Power to the dryer outlet was absent; Ben fixed it with new everything!

The lights look beautiful and I absolutely love them! Two guys showed up on time to the lights in. They were clean, professional and very nice. I've never had recessed lights put in before so I didn't exactly know where to place them etc... The guys said "no problem, we will make it look nice" and it was such a relief to hear them say that. They were right, the lights are great. They capped the old socket where the previous light was located and I had it spackled and painted so you can't tell it was ever there. It took about 3 hours to complete the project and everything was cleaned up and ready to go when they left.

Ben from Thrasher Electric came out and gave me the most professional estimate and actually made me feel okay about spending a lot of money on installing dedicated 20 amp circuits. He had to run two dedicated lines from the ground floor (where the panel is located) to 3 floors up and into a server closet. Ben even showed up a few minutes early and actually called to inform me. He is a qualified professional and it shows in his work. He spent the entire day routing the wires to appropriate places and finished off the job by fixing all the holes he had to carved out earlier in the day. He then vacuumed up all the mess before leaving. I happened to be working from home that day so I was in a position to closely monitor the work. I can vouch for Ben's professionalism and he is very good with his work. He is also very up-front about the cost and the estimate is inclusive of everything. There was zero up sell once he showed and the very mention of a coupon on Angie's List was enough to get additional discount (10%). I will recommend Thrasher Electric to anyone in Metro Atlanta looking for electrical work. My first experience with Thrasher Electric was very positive and I have never worked with such responsive team of electricians.

They arrived on time and in uniform and in a marked truck. The estimation process was thorough and informative and they were able to start and complete the work on that day. We have nothing but good things to say about how the work was approached and completed. We will definitely call on them in the future when we're ready to wire for the rest of our basement buildout project.

Update - Two things - First Thrasher Electric totally suprised me and, two, if you dont think service providers dont check out the reviews on Angie's then read on. The day following the posting of my review I received a call from Josh at TE. He had read the review and wanted to understand my comments. I explained and an hour later Josh was at the house evaluating the repair. He thought it could be improved on and the next day they were out and did just that. That kind of service just doesnt happen anymore. Thanks Josh and TE. Hats off to you.

iKevin was a very professional electrician. He called exactly 1/2 hour before the appointment and was on time. He evaluated the electrical projects that I needed in our bathroom and came up with a plan and a price that was fair. Not inexpensive but fair. He immediately started the work and was done within a half a day. everything was cleaned up spotlessly and all the trash was removed. We are very satisfied with his work and would not hesitate to recommend him or Thrasher.

They have done work for us before and always great. This time they shed. an appt for us quickly and sent out Kevin to do the work. He was on time and worked up the est. I approved and then he went to work. He worked quickly and was so nice. we will always use them since their customer service and tech service is so great. Thank you guys!!

I had asked for an early appointment. Kevin, the electrician, showed up around 9am. He explained the process and provided a written estimate. He was informative and courteous. I agreed to the price and signed the contract. He worked from 9:30am until about 6pm taking only a brief interval for lunch. The work was somewhat messy but Kevin attempted to keep the dust and wall-insulation off my furniture and appliances. Overall, I was pleased with the services provided and would recommend this company without hesitation.
