During one of our big storms, my house was shaken hard by thunder and the track light in my kitchen fell to the floor. Upon investigation, the support box was faulty. This was a job that needed a professional. I called Thrasher Electric who was able to schedule someone to come out the next day.. a Saturday! Nick Mohn was very professional and knowledgeable. He gave me a reasonable estimate and went right to work when I agreed to have the work performed by him. After installation of the support box and the new track light, he made sure that I was happy with where the lights pointed, moving them around while I decided what I liked best. After installation of the light, he noted that my dimmer switch wasn't working. He quoted me a price to replace this as well. I agreed to the additional work and he quickly finished this off as well. This couldn't have been easier (for me, at least). He cleaned up after all the work was completed. I'm a very satisfied customer and would recommend Nick and Thrasher Electric. As an aside, while Nick was working, I was talking with a realtor as I'm looking to put my house on the market. The realtor was so impressed with Nick's work and how he handled himself that he asked for a card so he could also recommend Nick to other clients in need of electrical service.

They set up an appointment for the day after I called. Work was completed as promised and work area was left clean.

I found it very easy to schedule with Trasher. Electricians were always readily available (within 72 hours for non-emergency work). Electricians were always prompt, arriving at the scheduled time. Work was always completed on-time and costs matched the original estimates (unless I specified changes). The only cons I experienced in working with Trasher were: 1) The worksite clean-up could have been better (I had to clean modestly after every visit. i.e. I would find insulation, drywall, wire coating, etc. in the area every visit), and 2) I was not offered the 10% discount for Angie's list members (however, when I provided materials (such as dimmer switches), several were installed with free labor offered). In the end, I received the equivalent of a 10% discount and was satisfied - but would have preferred for it to be more straightforward. I am a very picky homeowner and rarely give high marks. However, Thrasher has consistenly earned a high rating with multiple jobs at my home. I recommend the company to friends and family and receive feedback that they are equally happy with the work Trasher performs.

Ben is our electrician and he always explains to us the costs beforehand and explains what he would be doing as well what he is doing while he is working on the project. Ben also cleans up afterwards.

Their prices are highly competitive, the electricians very knowledgeable, friendly and considerate. They always take time to explain what they are doing and then do the job right - not just fast or easy. They are definitely our go-to for electrical service from here forward.

Nick the electrician showed up exactly on time and assessed the issues I raised over the phone. I needed a outlet box in my Master bedroom ceiling so I could install a ceiling fan. I also needed a new outlet in my daughters room so we could hook up her computer. He completed both of these tasks. He gave me several pricing options to keep costs low and commenced the job thereafter. His work was professional and quick and done to my complete satisfaction. This was my first experience with this company and I have nothing but praise for their timely response and excellent work. I also liked the fact that e-mail receipts are sent via the technician's IPad. I will definitely call Thrasher for my electric needs in the future.

I called on a Sunday morning and received a call back early Monday morning. They set 1-3 pm window for the same day and put me on a cancellation list. I received a call about 9:30 advising they had an immediate opening. Wayne arrived around 10:00am and was done within an hour. He had to cut a hole in the wall of an inside room to get to the box. Wayne was knowledgeable,professional and courteous. The reason for the B rating is solely due to price. Just a bit high for less than an hrs work and a small bit of wiring. But it was same day service and I was without A/C.

Although the person answering the phone was pleasant, they were unable to get me on their schedule for 3 days later. I fully understand if the calendar is full. I simply had to go to a competitor.

Overall, the Electrician, Jim, was excellent. He was very nice, professional, honest, and creative. I had another electrician out first (ElectraMedics) that told us it would be very difficult to install a light in the pantry-- He said he'd have to cut into the drywall near the ceiling on both sides and try to connect to the recessed outlet above. Drywall work would have to be done by a separate company and cost; so he didn't even quote it. Contrary to that, Jim from Thrasher Electric quickly realized we could tap into a circuit in the unfinished portion of the basement. He also made a small incision about and ran electrical tube. The size of the hole was equal to the tube, so no drywall repair was needed! Jim was also methodical. He looked for the best way to split an overloaded dimmer switch for our media room. He ended up re-using an existing dimmer that wasn't doing anything (new dimmer switches aren't cheap). He also did a great job installing an extra GFCI outlet upstairs; again, no drywall repair. He clearly had all the right tools and experience. The only issue with Thrasher is they are VERY expensive. I wanted about 6 "basic" things done initially, and the price was over $2100! I had to scale back to the 3 items mentioned above to get below $800. i.e. I wanted to hang a flat-panel TV over the fireplace (wood panel, gas fireplace). The quote for that was $570! This included an outlet, flex-tube cable, and running it through the walls all the way to the built-in cabinet on the side -- done the right way, I'm sure. But I simply could not justify that cost (almost as much as the TV!), especially since multiple Angie's List "big deals" offer this service for $200 or less (yes, even over the fireplace). So for the 3 items and with a 10% discount, I still paid $760. The pantry light alone (wiring, switch, & light) was $390. Jim was here about 4 hours. Removing the hardware from the equation, this translated to roughly $160 per hour! That is more than double what I've paid for electricians in the past. I don't mind paying a extra for good service, say up to 20%. And no doubt Jim/Thrasher did an excellent job, but having done the calculations after-the-fact (they bid by item, not hour), it is simply not worth double your average rates. In this case, I needed the work done quickly and I had a comfort level with Jim. In the future, though, I simply can't justify Thrasher's high prices for routine home electrical work.

Had new heating and air system put in. Installer found problem with wiring at furnace. Called and Russ came at appointed time. He was very professional and polite. He went through the house and checked everything, all plugin and switches and panel box. Our house is 30 years old. We had an electrican here several times and not once did they find the problems Russ found and charged up twice as much. Russ showed us burnt plugins and wiring that was exposed. He did nothing until he made sure we knew what he was replacing. He corrected wiring at furnace and corrected all the other problems we had. Thanks to him we have a safe home.

Called on Wednesday afternoon to make an appointment. Technician came out the following day within the 2 hour window given. He had all the equipment necessary to diagnose the problem, but needed to have some parts brought in from their warehouse. Replaced bulb and rebuilt ballast in about 4 hours.

We've used Thrasher three times and have been pleased. We haven't had any problems with their work or repairs. They are very professional and helpful. I would recommend them.

, It went very well. The electrician was friendly, wore the booties, and rather than simply doing things, asked questions so that I could decide. We'll be doing more electrical work in the future and they will be first on my list to contact.

l Wow what a great job! We called and had this schedule within the same week, which was great with 3 people doing work from home and needing the computers set up and running. Joaquin was fanstatic! He came and did the work with in just a few hours and the clean up was so good you couldn't tell there had been anyone here. He was prompt and very polite. This company is very professional from the first phone call to Joaquin performing the job and explaining what he did thoroughly. They knew exactly what we needed and was flexible in working with the changes that needed to be done because of the layout of the home. We will have more electrically work in the near future and this company will have our business without a doubt. Great working with them.

Thrasher Electric was one of four companies I contacted to get a quote for electrical issues at the amenities area for my HOA. I called them on 3/2 and met with their technician on 3/5. Their quote was thorough and detailed, but was the second highest we received, and was $4820 higher than the company we selected. We didn't base our decision on price alone. The company we selected was a smaller company and the work was done by the man who provided the quote. Thrasher electric was the only company that charged is a trip fee for meeting with us. I would not recommend this company because I feel their pricing is much too high.
