I received a call from him about an hour before he was due to arrive, he showed up on time, and explained everything he needed to do while he was here. He repaired a wiring problem in my kitchen that had knocked out my garbage disposal and one of the GFCI outlets, replaced my smoke detectors (I had no clue they were only supposed to be good for 10 years; I've been in the house 18 years and had never replaced them) with combination smoke/CO detectors, and replaced the ceiling fixture in the kitchen. He then did an inspection of the breaker box and made some changes there to bring it up to current code and offered to install a full house surge protector (which I had him do as well). I was nervous about having an outsider in the house since I'm in a higher risk bracket for COVID, but Kyle kept his mask on properly and maintained distance while in the house, and the surfaces he touched were easily sanitized afterwards.

+ -1 moreJJ did a great job. He checked some ideas in the hopes of avoiding having to cut a hole in the ceiling, which I appreciated. He actually found other leaks in addition to the pin hole that caused the original stain and replaced the entire section. He also discovered our water pressure was well above code and reset it.

Very professional and communicate clearly Our condo part of a builder remodel but the outside electrical was from 1978 and the breaker needed wasn't made any more. They were able to track down the breaker. Once they got in the master breaker box there was a bigger electrical problem of bare wires with burn marks. It was a very dangerous situation for all who live in this building. They took pictures, advised, and guided me through the process with our property management company. Very positive outcome and experience during a difficult and stressful time. I would definitely hire again. Also found out after that our neighbors used them for a large project and were equally as pleased.

+ 0 morewe needed the outlets in a part of our house that failed to work following a very brief power outage.
Description of Work: When we had experienced a very brief power outage, some outlets failed to receive power when it came back on. We checked the breaker box, turned off & back the main switch, and “pushed the buttons” that had restored it in the past. Nothing worked. I turned to ‘Angie’s List’ magazine Atlanta East Edition May 2020, selected TE Certified Electrician, and booked an appointment for Friday, Jun 5th between 11:00am and 2:00pm. The TE Certified Technician home office called at about 10:10 and asked if we were available earlier. Adam Stanton, certified electrician, arrived at 10:30am. He asked a few questions, looked at the breaker box, HVAC compressor, then asked to see meter box. He said that the problems with the power loss and the HVAC could be related. Mr. Stanton explained that he wasn’t an HVAC technician; however, as an electrician he might be able to spot the problem. There is a part in the Rheem compressor that has two wires running from it; however, one wire was “burn through” because it was trying to operate with inadequate power. Mr Stanton contacted the power company to come and shut down our power. They responded within 15-20 minutes. The power company worker confirm that the meter was, & had been, shorting & sparking... that a fire would have happened. Unfortunately, our meter was an old model & the current unit wouldn’t fit in the space of the old one. Mr. Stanton said that he could prepare the space & install the new meter so power could be restored the same day. Mr. Stanton, electrician, cut into the bricks from the side of our house as if he were a surgeon. As he was hurrying to finish, the power company returned. They told Mr. Stanton not to worry, they would wait. After it was installed, it was impossible to tell that it wasn’t original to the house. Mr. Stanton couldn’t replace the faulty part in the compressor only because it wasn’t currently in stock. Before he left, he made sure that our home, and family, were safe from an electrical fire. Monday another of Angie’s List recommended companies will install the new part needed to cool off our “very over-heated” house.

We also decided that we needed an additional ground for the house, since this was the second or third lightning strike in a year. Justin was very thorough during the visit, and was able to quickly perform the work. I was informed the entire way of how and why the items needed to be done, and I am confident that we shouldn't have any trouble with lightning going forward. Fantastic experience.
