He took the time to explain what needed to be done, why and how much. This company, unlike others, does not charge a service fee of $89 just to see the face of a tech. It is $29 for them to drive out, but this is waived if you have service done. I'll be calling them when we need service completed in the future.

I am very pleased with work. I thought the quote was a little on the high side, but I'm not really in the know with current electrician rates so maybe not. But I'd rather pay a little more for a quality job.

+ 3 moreEverything TE Certified Electricians merits an A+. From the moment I called to request service to delivery of the final invoice, everything was handled professionally. TE called me back within a few minutes of my opening a service request. They were able to schedule a service appointment within my busy schedule. The technicians called prior to arrival. They were clean, courteous and professional in all regards. I asked them to 1) swap out two outdoor light wall fixtures with new ones, 2) install a new wall light fixture near my garage doors (which required some rewiring work), 3) install a security light to the back of my house 18' to 20' up in the air on the roof soffit, 4) install 3 new light timers inside the house, 5) make some circuit breaker panel repairs to bring my panel up to code, and 6) trouble shoot and repair the power supply to my back yard lights and waterfall feature. TE provided the quote and they included a multiple project discount. The two technicians completed the work all in one day and had all the supplies necessary on their trucks. They completed the jobs and everything works beautifully. I consider myself a pretty demanding customer, and I don't put up with poor service. I couldn't tell you one thing where TE could have improved. I am impressed and highly recommend this service provider. Without a doubt, I will use TE the next time I need electrical work at my home.

+ 2 moreCompany would not give per hour rate; stated the tech would quote the price He charged $98 per exterior light and $50 for the door bell; 8 wires in total, $250! This job should have only taken 30 minutes. I believe the guy re-used the existing brackets and kept the brackets from the new lights. Felt totally ripped off! I can understand $98/hr. for a more complex job i.e. ceiling fans etc. but this was a very easy job. There really is not guarantee unless the lights fall off the wall, otherwise your paying for another visit
Description of Work: replaced 2 exterior porch/garage lights and a door bell. He charged $98 x 2 lights and $50. for the door bell; 8 wires in total.

+ 2 moreJordon arrived on time and gave me a quote for the work in the basement to include adding outlets, pulling wires, redoing wiring for new ceiling fixtures and removing then changing the placement of the old fixtures, adding a rough in for a new ceiling fan, tightening wires, etc. Basically providing some demo work and then roughing in the new wiring before the painters arrive. A good bit of problem solving required. He and Kyle were friendly, helpful, quick, tidy, and resourceful. Great guys. I've used TE before in the past and they are always professional and do a quality job for a fair price.
Description of Work: Demo and roughed in a basement renovation: added outlets, changed lighting placement, added new light boxes, reworked junction boxes.

+ -1 moreWhen another provider was unable to do the work as promised, I called TE Certified Electricians about 5 pm on Thursday, August 30 and they promised to send an electrician out the next morning if he became available to do the work between other scheduled jobs. He showed up earlier than I had anticipated and installed the whole house surge protector in about 20 minutes in a "most workman like manner." He also inspected the electrical box and connections while he had it open. The work has a life time warranty and surge protector has an excellent equipment protection warranty. This was my second experience with this electrician and company and both times the experience has been great! I hope I am through with electricians for a while, but if I need one I'm calling TE Certified Electricians and asking for Jordan!

He was neat, professional, cleaned up and removed all debris and old equipment. The door bell I had purchased did not have all of the parts, but the serviceman had one like it on his truck! I should also note I called to schedule the work late on Saturday afternoon. A human answered the phone and scheduled my work for Monday the very next work day!

Jordon was/is a very knowledgeable and highly skilled electrician who pays attention to detail and takes pride in doing, not only a great job, but doing it well! In addition to being punctual, Jordon was courteous and patient, taking time to explain what was and was not needed (and why) to keep our home electrically safe. We were impressed with Jordon?s integrity and work ethics and appreciated his positive attitude and helpfulness. Description of Work: After comcast updated our service, the electricity went out along a wall with two outlets where we had microwave and TV, when using both at same time. Circuit breaker didn't work. Clay called with E.T.A., arrived earlier than expected, explained the microwave with its amperage needed to be on its own outlet (where we had moved it to for the time being, as that circuit was suitable for it) or it could upgrade the outlet for close tpp $500, which I passed on. He replaced the old circuit breaker and installed 2 ground fault interrupters in the kitchen, as this is an older home that didn't have them.

Their cost for parts and supplies is high and they are clearly not the cheapest supplier, but if you don't want to chance quality, and are willing to pay a little more for that reassurance, they are your choice. As usually they showed up on time and quickly troubleshooted the issue. They clearly laid the work and pricing options. The key part of the work involved fixing a damaged buried power line servicing the backyard and they did a good job performing that work and putting the yard back in good condition. They stay true to their estimates and they performed the work that day and completed it to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: TE repaired a broken power line in my backyard and replaced a power supply. They also installed surge protection devices at all 3 circuit boxes and replaced some lighting fixtures.

+ -1 moreJustin arrived on time. (He called about 20 minutes before reaching our home). He inspected the box and pointed out issues with mismatched breakers and a poor wiring configuration. He replaced all breakers and wiring, and installed the surge protector. The issue with the flood light was a poor connection in the box, so that was resolved easily. He had all but one part on his truck, so he had to go out for a short while to get that part, but was back quickly and went right back to work. We had also scheduled our yearly AC inspection for the same day and the technician showed up while Justin was there. Justin coordinated with the AC tech to insure the tech would have power to test our units. I can't say enough about Justin. He was very professional, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to have in my home. I am very pleased with the service we received.
Description of Work: Installed whole house surge protector, refurbished the entire panel box, did troubleshooting to identify why an outside flood light was not working.

I showed him what I needed and he spent time checking out all of spots that needed work, including going up in the attic, then gave me a detailed estimate including walking me through everything that needed to be done. I agreed to the estimate and he got to work right away. I also had someone working to remove cabinets and Jordon was able to coordinate the two of them working together so that he was able to access the areas he needed to work in. Jordan worked late and got everything done including cleaning up his work area, then he once again walked me through the work he did and answered all of my questions. Jordon is a nice young man and has excellent customer service skills. I will be arranging for him to come out and move some pendant lights in a few weeks. I highly recommend Jordon and TE.

+ -1 moreCounty came by to install a new digital meter. Upon doing so, they discovered that two of the four lugs in the meter (basically, the connections of the power coming from the pole and going into the house) were burnt out/bad. Instead of knocking on our door to tell me personally, they left a little slip in the door handle, saying we had to fix the issue within 14 days or they'd cut our power. Awesome. Typically, I call for a few quotes on these items. But, considering the time constraints and having used the company for a small job before, I called TE. They promptly came out and gave me an estimate. It sounded pretty close to what I was able to find online, so I said yes to the job. They were very informative about the process (let me know it looked like the issue was from a previous shoddy job that somehow passed inspection), even mapping out the city's side (they would have to come out to cut the power, inspect the work, and then turn the power back on). So, we scheduled for a couple days from there. TE called the day of and arrived on time (surprisingly, the power company was here before they were). Regardless, the power was shut off and the work was done. It took a bit longer than what they quoted, but not a huge issue. In waiting for the city inspector to show up, the TE technician let us know of a special they had on whole-house surge protection (which basically matches the AL deal they currently have available). So, knowing it's not a bad investment in a high-storm area, I said sure. While in the box, he noticed one of our circuit breakers was the wrong size for what it was connected to, so he swapped that out as well. After that, the inspector arrived and OK'd the work (put a sticker on the box and said he emailed in the approval to the city). However, the city took it's sweet time to come out. I had to call them 3 times over the course of 3.5 hours for them to come and turn the power back on. A well-oiled machine there, I tell you. Overall, I was happy with TE. They gave a fair price, did what was expected, and kept me in the loop throughout the process. I will definitely use them again for future electrical needs.
