I was impressed with the professionalism of the "salesman" Kevin. He stood behind everything he had told me they would do. The two technicians arrived on time, got to work, and completed in less time than I expected. They were friendly but not "chatty" wasting time. When they finished they were going to clean up the dust etc but I was going to do it anyway. Would I have liked it to be cheaper? Of course. BUT I feel they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I do feel when you spend this much money, the yearly maintenance at the end of the 1st year should be free and thereafter, a graduated fee.
Description of Work: This provider replaced my entire HVAC unit.

Service technician, Travis Sexton, called to verify service time and arrived promptly. He explained everything he did and answered my questions. I would highly recommend Canadys and the Trane A/C-Heating system. I am saving approximately $40-50/month in my electrical bill since it was installed last year.

installed new AC unit and air handler. Experienced a problem with a water leak from the condensation line that made a stain on the ceiling where the water leaked. Cannady's came out right away and agreed to repair the ceiling and get it painted. They just were not real strong at following up on the contractor hired to do the job so it dragged on for more than 3 weeks. Other than that the product works great, and they install was good. I would use them again

The original installation went well. On 8/13/2013 the air conditioner I noticed the unit ran constantly and the temperature continued to climb in the house, Canady's sent a repairman out to fix it the next day. The system was finally repaired on 9/17/2013 after 9 visits and 1 missed appointment from their service department. During this time my air conditioner ran almost 24 hours a day trying to maintain a comfortable temperature in the house, finally on 9/07/2013 after one of their attempts to repair it the air conditioner stopped working altogether until 9/17/2013 when they finally got it fixed. Canady's technicians were skilled professionals and were polite but the product line they sell, Trane air conditioners, are overpriced and poor quality. Canady's also has a "NO LEMONS POLICY" for the first 36 months of operation which states " If during the first 36 months of operation , you experience a failure of the furnace heat exchanger, or indoor coil we will replace the entire furnace or air handler." The indoor coil had to be replaced in my air conditioner along with several other components and they did not honor this written policy that I received when I purchased the air conditioner. I asked them to extend the warranty due to the circumstances and they told me to contact Trane myself . I would not recommend buying an air conditioner from this company, they are overpriced and their "NO LEMONS POLICY" seems to be worthless.

Over all the service was good. I told me that the refrigerant was low and that there was probably a leak somewhere in the system. After they inspected the unit, I was informed the leak was in the copper coils in the attic. The guy took me to the attic and showed me where the leak was using his leak detection tool. Long story short he called it in and told me it would be about 1800 for the new coils and the labor. I asked him that there should be a warranty on the unit. I called the original installer, and was told that yes, there was a warranty on the part. I asked the lady to give me a quote. She said she would call me back. Meanwhile, I told the guy here that it is under warranty. He called his HQ and have me a new quote of almost 1300. I told him thanks and that I would call him back. He then tried to get me to commit by saying he could refill my missing Freon now and the would top it off for free again when the came back to do the work. DO NOT FALL FOR THOSE TRICKS. I said no, because if I don't use them I would have to pay someone else to top it off again when they did the work. The guy said I wouldn't find a better price. Well, about 15 minutes later the original installer called me back. The last told me that the party was free, I would just pay for labor and shipping... the total came to a whole 600. That's right! $600. And 120 of that was shipping the part from the manufacturer and shipping the core back. So, Canady's service was ok, but the sales tactic and prices were not!

The service was performed on one of our rental homes so the maintenance man & the customer service woman had to deal with both me and my tenant - me to get the go ahead to spend the money and order parts and do repairs & my tenant to set up times to do the work. Both the maintenance & customer service person did a wonderful & professional job at this and kept me in the loop the whole time of the work in progress. On the first call from my tenant they were not getting the a/c to cool so I called Canady's (after looking on Angie'sList) and I explained I was the owner and gave them my tenant's name and number and requested them to call me before any work was done so I could say yay or nay on the price, etc. I called back my tenant and told them who I contacted and gave them the info and told them to contact Canady's. Later the next day I receive a call from the maintenance guy explaining the evaporator cooler needed to be replaced and needed to replaced but in the mean time to keep the home cool they can recharge the Freon. I asked how much that was - it was three hundred and something!! what!! He than said that would also go into the repair price at the end - so it didn't hurt so much :). I forgot to say that this was on a SATURDAY!! They do not charge more for a service call on Saturday like other companies do!! The only time the ball was dropped by Canady's was during this time. The maintenance man said he would have the part ordered and I would hear how much it would be by Friday. When I didn't hear anything by Friday I called the office and the woman said they didn't know anything about this part and they would have to contact the maintenance man. They did, called me back at the beginning of the next week, and between my tenant's and their schedule the part was installed with no problems quickly and efficiently by the next week. The maintenance man was the same throughout the whole process - wish I could remember his name - along with the woman in the office - because she was super awesome too. Their customer service was amazing and I will turn to this company any time in the future and recommend them!
Description of Work: He troubleshot the a/c unit to figure out why it was not cooling any longer, and recharged it with Freon until the part could be ordered and received.

The team was unbelievably professional. I have never experienced such a high level of excellence in service. This includes all aspects: appointment, installation, clean-up, answering questions, follow through. My daughter, Kimberly Hickman, just had them replace her entire unit in May with a new Trane system and thermostats. Cost was over $18,000.00. She has been equally pleased. They have wonderful service after the sale. Would highly recommend them over other providers in this area.

They were very late arriving to my home. When they finally arrived, I explained the problem that the A/C unit outside and blower in the attic was not running. They assessed both units and said we have a blown fuse to the unit in the attic. They didn't have a fuse available on the truck so they went to a neighboring store and purchased one. They came back replaced the fuse the units came be on. I also asked why the emergency pan was always full of water, which we changed out frequently. They told me that it was because of several leaks coming from the evaporator coils in the unit, which is often times difficult to get to repair but can be done. I asked what would happen if we didn't get it repaired, and the Rep said, that I was leaking Feron and eventually we would run out of Feron - but could not say how long before we would run out. I asked what were my options and they suggested that I either explore replacing the entire unit or getting the coils replaced. When they told me the cost of having the coils replaced (roughly around $1500 - $2000) I was stunned. They also suggested replacing the units (as an option) and could set-up an appointment for us to meet with one of their Care Specialist - who would be able to assess our unit(s) and provide us with some recommendations, so I agreed and we set up the appoint. the next day. My husband and I met with the specialist and we went over the various options and costs. The costs varied depending on the type of model SEERS option selected. We opted for the SEERs 15 (which was in the middle) for performance / efficiency. The purchase cost for both units was around $8,000, or just to replace the unit in the attic (around) $4,000. We didn't have the money right away so we decided to wait. I was glad that we didn't make an instant purchase that day. The next day, I got a second opinion and was told that the primary pan (to the ac unit in the attic) was clogged. We ended up paying $159.00 versus $8000.00.
Description of Work: replaced a fuse switch. Acknowledged that I had evaborator coil leaks that needed to be replaced or consider purchasing a new handler /outdoor ac unit.

Upon returning from vacation we found our 9 year old Carrier system was broken again...we had changed the air handler 3 years ago. By doing internet research and checking consumer reports magazine we discerned two things: 1) reliability had most to do with a good installation and 2) trane systems were a bit better than others. We joined Angie's list then to double check on the Trane dealer in our area, i.e. Canady. I called on a Monday morning and the sales agent (who used to be an installer...I liked that because he knew from hands on experience what we needed) was here that afternoon and assessed our situation, even asking questions about whether we planned to stay in the house or sell soon, about where (what rooms) we spent most of our time in etc. Kevin explained about the need to keep humidity low while cooling air and the meaning of SEER ratings. We made up our minds the next day and called for an installation date and they came on Friday right at 8 AM as promised. They were done by 4PM and showed us how the thermostat operated, had cleaned up all their work area and we were back with wonderfully cool air then! Kevin returned the following Wednesday for payment and to make sure we were satisfied. There was no pressure to upsell anything and the only dislike we have is that Trane requires yearly maintenace (and it looks like it must be by an authorized dealer, meaning Canady) to preserve the warranty which amounts to $150 each year.

The original work went well. they had to come back with a new heat strip. they were asked to check the attic fan and it was found to be inoperable. The were ask to get a price on a fan motor to repair unit, but they never called back with the price. overall the work was performed, but it was expensive.

I rarely find a contractor that provides such a great service. ( I am a detailed and somewhat knowledgeable consumer). The sizing of my unit was very detailed using a computer for accurate calculations. The system sizing was different than other estimates and I attribute this to the fact that the other estimates were just guessing. The Trane system installed was in the middle range of estimates of sizing from various sources including online sizing calculators. The efficiency rating is in the middle of what is offered. Communications with the company were outstanding. Insatllation was performed by very neat professionals who went extreme detail removing the old system components even though this was not necessarily in the way of the new installation. The attention to detail was amazing. These installers were not rushed but only focused on doing the job right. They even cleaned up everything. The operation of the system is like none I have ever seen. i did not know that a powerful HVAC system could opperate almost silently (inside and outside). My home has pet odors that were immediately diminished by the UV light air purification. I am told that this actually kills 99% of airborne germs. The sales rep did not tell me all of the fantastic features of this system or maybe I just expected "a cool home" and did not listen. I will never go back to a simple cold air blowing noise-maker.

I purchased a Trane system in 2012 and have been very happy with the product. The dealer came out and provided several estimates for different installations and once we agreed to a system, the installation began within a few days. The representatives were on time and took steps to protect my walls and floors since they were removing an old unit and installing a new one in the existing space. The clean up was perfect and I was very satisfied. A week or so later, I noticed two vents in a bedroom had a low air volume and when I called, the technician came out the same day and the problem was immediately corrected. Just the other day my lights were dimming every time the A/C unit cut on. I called the office and scheduled an appointment for later the same day. I was told the start up capacitor was defective as well as a relay switch. The parts were ordered and installed later the same week. The service and parts were under warranty and I was not out of pocket one cent for the repair. In my opinion, any number of companies can install an air conditioner that you may be initially satisfied with. The true test of a company is service after the sale. Canady?s excels in this area and whenever I am asked to recommend a company, they are always number one on my list.

They called before they came to give an approximate time of arrival, arrived on time and very efficiently performed the work requested. All of these gentlemen are professionals in their trade. They know their job and do it well. They replaced the AC/Heating air handler, Heat Pump, and all of the duct work. Before they began work. they took care to protect the floors and walls. The job was done in a shorter time than I expected and they cleaned up before they left. I was also advised of the use and maintenance considerations. A great group of guys!

Our existing HVAC system had several ongoing problems, and the heating system failed over the Christmas Holidays (of course!). We got several quotes, and selected Canady's to do the work based on reviews here and elsewhere, as well of the professionalism demonstrated by Kevin Roberts in generating and explaining the quote and options for various systems. The team doing the work did a great job, including some followup work requested by the city inspector (related to the horrible job done by the previous contractor).
Description of Work: Complete replacement of the downstairs HVAC system for an 1800SQFT house, including under-house ductwork.

We were having continual problems with the old HVAC system in the house we recently bought. Canady's came out and quoted us several different options for the needed replacement and we chose one of the more expensive options that suited our needs. We were surprised with how quickly they could start work, and they performed their work quickly, efficiently, and left a very clean work space. We're happy with how this new system is working, and now use Canady's for all our regular maintenance. Trane offered a rebate for the system we purchased but Canady's had difficulty getting Trane to follow through on this check and so Canady's made good on the rebate themselves. That was above and beyond good customer service.

It went great. The guys showed up, laid paper down where they were working, took out the old unit in the attic, hauled it away in bags, so nothing could dribble on the floor. The new install was great. I am a handyman and have built my own house in the past. The workmanship they did was very good. I recommend Chad and Kyle for any work.
Description of Work: Replaced an old Heat Pump and the air handler. The air handler was in a 3rd floor attic that was very tight and not an easy replacement. The 2 installers Chad and Kyle, were very professional, went right to work and did a great job. The new unit install looks much better than the old unit install. Time will tell how the unit does as far as issues, but right now it's working graet. The air coming out is much warmer than the old unit. The unit is a Trane and has a variable fan blower that helps keep the air warm when it's being used for heat. His price was a little higher ($300-500 higher) but the work they did was excellent in my opinion. When they were giving me the quote (I got 4 different Quotes) they took a lot more measurements, looked at all the ductwork and registers and thoroughly discussed my options. Much better than the other 3 guys that gave me quotes. This unit handled the 2nd and 3rd floor. Lance, the gentleman from Canady's, came out to let us know what the issue was and to give us an estimate. He told us that we needed to a return duct and did not need an entire heating and A/C unit change, like the other companies told us we needed. This saved us thousands of dollars. The folks that came out to put in another return duct were first class and did a great job. Lance even came back out a week later to check and see if everything was working ok. I would highly recommend this professional company to anyone.
Description of Work: We were having trouble keeping the entire house warm.

We noticed are A/C wasn't cooling as well and knew that our house had stood vacant for 1-2 years since it was a foreclosure and knew it needed a cleaning. The tech was polite and professional. He took a picture of the dirty and rusty coils and was suppose to email me the photo so I could show my husband but he never did. Other than that the service was good.
Description of Work: Cleaned coils, drain pan and lines.

We made phone contact with Canady's to schedule an estimate for new ac units. First contact was with Michelle. Kevin came to our home to assess our needs and provide written estimates. Kevin also showed us pictures of work that Canady's had performed in other homes.On both July 30 &31, Kyle came to our home to install the units. The first day he had a tech named Kevin with him, on the second day he was accompanied by Jameson. These guys know their business. Not only are they knowledgeable about their product, but very knowledgeable about all aspects of heating and air.They removed all the debris associated with the installation. They also vacummed up the area where they had been working.From the start they laid down covers on the floor and stairs to help capture the dirt from the project. We were very impressed with the professionalism of this organization and all the people we had contact with (from said).We will most certainly recommend Candy's to all our friends and neighbors. They did a fantastic job!!
Description of Work: Canady's replaced two air conditioners in our home. They removed the old units, restructured ducts (for better air flow).They installed the new units. They were very clean, they picked up and removed all waste affiliated with their work.The technicians were extremely knowledgeable about the systems they were installing (actually they were knowledgeable about all aspects of heating and air (not just their products).All the people we dealt with were very professional. We spoke with Michelle & Katie (over the phone). Kevin came out to assess the service needed. Kevin provided written estimates as well as pictures of work performed by Canady's at other homes.Kyle, Kevin and Jameson were the young men who did the actual installation of products. They did a very efficient job! Overall, our experience with Canady's was superb! We would highly recommend Canady's to anyone who is in need of new units or just service to keep the old units operational!

Too long of a story to teel. Just know that dealing with Canady's was a great experience and I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They sent someone over to assess my Heating and Air system. They were extreamly honest, and we decided not to do anything at this time, but when we do we will be going with Canady's to update my furnace and air.
