Incredible service. John was fast with his work, yet took the time to explain what he was doing. I will use PowerWorks Electric again.

I keep forgetting I need to be explicitly clear when working with contractors. I bought a water filter faucet that needed an outlet for it to be plug into, along with it being installed. I contacted a few of the Angie's List electricians, and John (PowerWorks) was responsive with a great price. We discussed the job (I stated I wasn't sure if I needed a plumber or an electrician), and I gave the work to John. John did a great job of adding the outlet, he found a problem with the Dishwasher power cord and fixed it for us. I just didn't realize he couldn't install the water filter (that's plumbing). Lesson learned...

I have used John and his team before to install several light fixtures I had purchased. They also ran outside motion lights for me. I was extremely happy with the service and friendliness of the team. I have many future projects I will need help with and I will be calling them again. I recommend.

Great !! Quick response , affordable, and meticulous. Found probable location of smoke alarm - cut sheet rock and removed.

First initial appointment went well, Second appointment scheduled but electrician did not show up. (was a honest mistake of writing the appoint in calendar on wrong date) After a very sincere apology. John and his crew were some the best electricians I have work done by. Would and will use again in the near further for some other projects I have in mind for my new home.

PowerWorks Electric was great. They were really good, nice people. They did good jobs. They guy came exactly at the time he would, that was the next day. He did everything we asked him to do. He was a nice guy with reasonable price. He came with a helper and did a bunch of stuff. It was a bunch of little jobs. He did it and everything is working great. I didn't have one of those plugs in the wall that cuts off the power if you get a short. The whole outside of my house got sorted out. They put in some plugs that will avoid that problem for the whole house. The price was reasonable. They were really good. We plan to use them again in the future.

The second ice storm had barely passed through our area when we noticed a problem with two circuit breakers on the main panel. One of the circuit breakers controls the water well and the second half of the breaker controls the generator input to the panel. During generator operations only part of the house was powered due to the discrepant breaker. After normal power was restored we had no power to the well. I contacted Mr. Donaldson at PowerWorks Electric. I left a voice mail and he called me back within a few minutes. I explained why i was calling and gave a high level overview of my problems. Mr. Donaldson asked me questions about the problems. We discussed my location and he said that he would be over soon. Mr. Donaldson called the house to advise he was on his way and was there on time. He diagnosed the problem and made a special trip for the double circuit breaker. He advised me on the condition of the wiring and its capacity as well as the breaker type and generator capacity. He also analyzed a problem with my generator and offered repair and care tips. Mr. Donaldson provided prompt, courteous, professional service at a reasonable price. I will use Mr. Donaldson with PowerWorks Electric again when the need arises. I will also recommend PowerWorks Electric to my friends.

This is my second review of Powerworks, but I felt an update was needed. John and his assistant, Matt, are just the electrical professionals a homeowner is looking for. They don't cut corners, you know you're getting 'up to code' work, there is NO fear of anything but professional top-notch work happening when they show up. And the price is always fair. My past experience with electrical workers included having one gentleman so overweight, he busted right through our attic steps. Busted right through them due to his weight. Would I want him up on a tall ladder? No. John and Matt are spry and athletic and can climb high ladders and crawl around in the tightest places. As I learned, that can be important. Again, I just wanted to give a more recent review. Oh! And that house he entirely rewired from the ground up? It has worked flawlessly since John's work there. Not one issue. If you want the perfect electrician, go with PowerWorks. Yeah, yeah,...I know...this sounds like a commercial, but he's worth the praise. You don't want to cut corners with an electrician. Get it done right the first time.

I hired John Donaldson to put in some electrical in my garage. He is the nicest and most thoughtful man I've met in a long time. I had just finished and painted in the garage and he and his wonderful electrician, Matt, were very careful and respectful of the room. The work they did here, was professional and they did it in a timely manner. His price for the work I had done, was fair and affordable. I would definitely have Powerworks Electrical back when I need some more work done. Kim

I called Powerworks based on previous reviews here on Angie's List and on another website too. John Donaldson, the owner, answered the phone. I explained our main problem which was a sudden loss of power in the garage and at the outside electrical outlets. I think he would have come out that day, but I explained that we wanted to go buy some light fixtures and a ceiling fan so they could install them too. We figured that as long as we were having an electrician come out, we'd get all our issues taken care of. John suggested an 8:00am start time for the next day. Later that day he called back and told me that he wanted to send his lead guy out to our house at 8:00am and he would come at 9:00am since he had an early morning meeting. He said that if we preferred, the two of them would come at 9:00am, but we agreed to have Joe come at 8:00am. And at 8:00am Joe pulled into the driveway. John came at exactly 9:00am. Both men are very personable and knowledgeable. They explained everything that they were doing and demonstrated professionalism in their work. When hanging the fixtures on the porch Joe was careful to make sure that it was at the length that we wanted. John explained how the GCFI switches work and we will have them come back to install others in our kitchen and bathroom. They installed the side door lights including caulking.They were here for 3 hours. They cleaned up after themselves. We discussed new lighting in the kitchen, John suggested recessed lighting. We will have this company return to our home when more electrical work is needed.

Terrific! Professional, prompt, affordable. Great attention to detail. No "cut" corners

John rewired an entire house. It was a big job and took several days, but John was on it first thing in the morning working in the heat, until he was finished, all cleaned up and done. I've never seen anyone stay so committed to such a big job. I felt we were important to him and he treated our home as if it were his own. That's a rare thing to see nowadays. He has also done several small jobs for us and he gets in, gets the job done right the first time, cleans up and goes....all at a great price. He shows up on time, keeps his word, has great prices. He is the old fashioned ethical worker you are looking for. He's clean cut, a gentleman and you will feel safe having him in your home. The best...hands down. You don't want to mess around with electrical and we feel completely SAFE when our electrical needs are in John's hands. I know I sound like a commercial but I feel strongly about supporting the workers who do a great job!
