I did my own research on car transport companies. The Amerifreight website actually helped me learn more about the entire process. It was extremely honest about the whole system and all the additional aspects of having a broker find a transporter for your car. I then contacted Amerifreight, after seeing their #1 rating on the BBB. I left a message and the next day Lecia called me to set up the shipment. They quoted me at $1035 and I signed up for the MARC which allowed them to get a shipper before I could be contacted. My final price was $1135. K-Line Transport moved my car from Washington State to Oklahoma in 6 days. I was unable to pick it up, but had friends ready to pay and receive it. Chris, the driver, and Lecia were able to work with me to give them multiple different phone numbers to allow the delivery of the car in Oklahoma to happen smoothly. My car arrived with no damage. Got the car shipped in time with only $500 price increase! Will definitely do business again! I needed to move my car form Pennsylvania to California. Got quote in a day after placing the order online. Follow up immediately after placing the order, and was told the order was being worked on. Very prompt! After no words for another couple of days, I got a little worried and called and found out the person in charge was out of office for some days. Got worried a little more but was told by a nice lady that the order was being worked on. I was relieved and wait for another couple of days. Almost totally disappointed and wanted to cancel the order, but suddenly a freight was found!!! The timing was perfect, and it worked out nicely eventually, with a $500 increase in price though. The car got shipped without incident. The trucker driver even tried pretty hard to hit on my female friend after delivery. Very friendly!

Pickup was professional, on-time, and done in a location that was safe from any possibility of damage. Auto arrived in 3 days at destination with no damage - not even a scratch. Excellent service and follow through - i will use again and recommend to anyone needing a auto transport cross country.

Happy with the service provided by Amerifreight. Minor hiccups included difficulty getting ahold of broker - had to call several times to get through and was diverted to voicemail a few times during what we understood to be normal business hours. Everything went smoothly once we were able to get through. We did have a minor hiccup on delivery in that the vehicle was delivered a day early . We did confirm with the broker that this would not happen but the vehicle was still delivered a day early. The rate did go up 300USD at the last minute (up from what was originally quoted) but in conversing with other carriers, this ended up being very close to the market rate. These were very minor issues. Overall we had a smoother than expected experience. The broker arranged for our vehicle to be picked up within the time frame that he promised and the vehicle was delivered quickly and in good condition. Other than the early drop-off we were very satisfied the transporter that our broker had found We would not hesitate to use Amerifreight and our broker's services for our future transportation needs.

Lecia at AmeriFreight handled my transaction. She was very helpful, following up before, during and after pick up and delivery. It was my first time to ship a car. I was so scared using one from reading all the reviews and horror stories on the Internet. It took weeks before I stumbled on AmeriFreight as it was not one of the companies that provided me with quotes after signing up on moves.com. The process was seamless, and I got my car on the estimated delivery date. Most important of all, my car didn't get any extra dings. I highly recommend AmeriFreight!

David was amazing! He answered every question I had and really made me feel relaxed and comfortable with trusting them with our vehicle. I researched for 2 weeks prior for the best carrier and Amerifreight kept coming up at the top. I called several other companies and talked to the same person answering different numbers and carrier names. Many were unprofessional and very sketchy and wanted money upfront! Big RED FLAG! The vehicle was picked up the day it was available and delivered 12 days later . Minus a lot of road grime the vehicle was exactly like the day it was loaded. Don't waste your time researching like I did. CALL AMERIFREIGHT TODAY!! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

It was excellent. I was really pleased with the whole thing. They went all the way across country and their was no damage to the car or delays. It was pretty rapid considering the distance they had to travel. It was within the estimated time that they said it would arrive. I was very pleased of the fact that everybody involved with the transport, the agent and the driver were very polite and helpful. They responded to telephone calls to update on location.

My experience exceeded all expectations. The representative, Graham, answered all my questions patiently, thoroughly, and truthfully. It was refreshing to deal with someone who was committed to finding the best solution for my situation and who went above and beyond to deliver. Amerifreight makes customer satisfaction a priority and it shows in everything from how they interacted with me, to the quality transport they arranged. Even when explaining the discount offered for leaving a review, they emphasize that they want you to leave a truthful review based on your interaction with their company. This was an outstanding transaction and if you want a trustworthy company who will provide an efficient and stress-free experience, I highly recommend Graham and Amerifreight.

I obtained quotes from several companies. Amerifreight's was lowest, but they would not guarantee it (and have many reviews referring to last minute price raises). In my opinion their quote process and reference to their "best reviews in the industry" are very misleading?BUYER BEWARE. Notice that Amerifreight immediately "rebutted" my review here on Angies, since was only a customer of obtaining a quote, and claiming that I am out to "undermine" them. Interestingly, they have not denied a single one of the facts I've listed below about the quote I was provided, and their non-standard industry practices (up-front deposits required, no price guarantee, requiring customers to leave a review to avoid an upcharge, etc). The reason I have left such a long review is how mad they've made me by actively removing my reviews on other sites. Most consumers don't know about how the auto shipping industry works, and what the norms are. I didnt until I did some research, and I hope what I've provided below helps others be informed consumer. Then you can ask the right questions when considering a quote from Amerifreight, or from any other auto shipper. Auto shippers are brokers, providing the service of screening and lining up a reliable driver/freight company to pick up your "contract" (shipping job), then acting as liaison during the shipping process. The actual shipping is done by the subcontracted driver's company (usually solo drivers or very small shippers). This is how the industry works. 1) MISLEADING QUOTE: The written quote I received from Amerifreight indicated I?d been given a $50 discount on my price. Great, right? But down below I spotted small print saying "be sure to claim your discount?, so I asked. Turns out the discount (which it appears you've already been given!) would ONLY be valid if I later wrote them an online review on the industry site(s) they specify. Otherwise they will charge you back the $50 discount after the fact. This was not mentioned ANYWHERE in the written quote, nor verbally by the agent, until I specifically asked what ?claim your discount? meant. So, BE AWARE, unless you later leave online reviews where they specify, your price is actually $50 more. 2) CHARGES UP FRONT: Amerifreight charges their portion of the fee up front as a "deposit", BEFORE they have even found out if they can get a driver contracted at the low price they quoted to get you to pick them. In contrast, the standard industry practice (call around and ask, I did) is not to charge you *anything* until your car is actually loaded and on its way with a contracted driver. The rest of the price is what will be paid to the driver. By putting a low ball price for the driver portion, Amerifrieght gets you to commit. Maybe they will get you a driver at that low price, but maybe not-- (many of the "A" ratings here in Angies refer to being given last minute price increases. The auto shipper I ended up going with guaranteed my price would not increase) 3) DEPOSIT : Because Amerifreight collects their portion of the fee up front, they essentially lock you in as a customer, so if they aren't getting a driver at the low price, they will need to increase your price last minute to get one. There are numerous complaints online of people having a difficult time getting their ?deposits? back after they got fed up with Amerifreight when it didn?t get them a driver on time or raised the price last minute, so they went with another shipping option. 4) WON?T GIVE ASSURANCES: Amerifreight Rep refused to give me an answer on estimating (even very broadly) how likely it was that they?d be able to find me a driver at the low price they quoted me at, or how frequently, on average, that the non-guaranteed quoted price has to be raised later ?in order to get a driver?. 5) PRICE FOR WHAT I ACTUALLY REQUESTED WAS HIGHER THAN QUOTE: Their quote turned out (in the small print) to require a 2 week pick-up window, when I had clearly specified a 2-day window requirement. When pointed out to the Rep, he raised the quoted price hundreds of dollars, above the price I was quoted from 2 other companies. (In contrast, the company I ultimately went with explained that with a narrow 2-day pickup window, although drivers weren?t likely to commit to the contract until a few days before departure, when they could be certain they were going to be in the area on those actual days, but the price would be the same, since this company knew the market and was confident they put it out at a fair price that all but ensured a driver would be obtained.) 6) AMERIFREIGHT ACTIVELY REMOVES NEGATIVE REVIEWS: I submitted a negative review of my quote experience to one of the industry sites where Amerifreight claims to have the ?best ratings?, and Amerifreight had it removed within 24 hours (!) because, technically, I?d only used them for the quote process, and wasn?t a final ?customer?. Yet these ?customers? could be some of the most dissatisfied-- if the company failed to get a driver for your quote, or raised its lowball price on you last minute so you went elsewhere. To my mind, vetting and contracting of the driver IS the service they provide. The actual shipping is done by driver?s company, that?s what most people are rating. If you look, you?ll see Amerifreight actively rebuts negative reviews of the actual shipping, quickly putting all responsibility on the driver?s company (even though they selected the shipper, which is part of the screening service they?re supposed to be providing to you) 7) METHODS SKEW REVIEWS TOWARD POSITIVE: Amerifrieght is charging $50 after the fact if customers don?t leave the reviews, without making that requirement clear ahead of time. That ensures many, many reviews. But the distorting part of this method is that Amerifreight can choose to ask/remind only customers they believe to be happy to leave reviews. First, this avoids any reviews from people like me unhappy with the quote process, or from those who had trouble getting the deposit back when they went with another company, etc. Second, if they are aware that something went wrong, or they raised the price last minute, or the customer complained, they can avoid many potentially negative reviews by simply not asking those particular customers to leave reviews, and not making them aware of the very specific industry sites to which they are directing other customers with the who want their $50 kept. My original quote, remember, mentioned nothing about the ?leave a review? requirement for the apparently already given discount, so these unhappy customers would be none the wiser about being omitted from the review requirement. They would make do so only on their own initiative, probably to a place like google or angie?s list, and rarely to the more specific industry sites where Amerifreight points their positive experience customers. See how it can work? In addition, based on my experience, Amerifreight is actively monitoring and requesting removal of negative reviews on these sites if it came from anyone like me who felt misled during the quoting experience, or they failed to line up a driver at the promised price/time frame for, because we weren?t ultimately ?paying customers?. 8) NOT ACTUALLY BEST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE: If you look closely at one rating site they tout, Amerifreight isn?t even the best rated in terms of *customer service*, like they imply. The overall rating is pumped up by good scores on things like license compliance and regulatory requirements (which matter to gov?t, not customers), but are 2/3 of the rating. IN CONTRAST, the company I DID end up going with (I?ve also reviewed them on Angies): - Gave the 2nd lowest price quote, AND guaranteed that would be my final price - Was clearly knowledgeable about the market. She considered multiple factors, including an impending holiday and some pre-calls to preferred drivers, to determine at what price our needs could be met at, and was willing to assure us with 99% certainty the guaranteed price would obtain a driver. - Communicated clearly and transparently about the pricing and process - Provided a driver/shipper they had used frequently and had good feedback on from customers (who delivered exactly as promised). - I was charged their portion of the fee only AFTER car was picked up (rest goes to driver/shipper upon delivery, standard industry practice)

Overall, I'd give AmeriFreight a B to B+. I found their process for quoting the price a bit slippery (I actually got two quotes, one for $1200 and one for $1450, and ended up paying $1750, which seemed like a fairly steep (17%) increase from the higher of the initial quotes, and 32% higher than the lower of the initial quotes. They explain that they don't have total control over the quote, as it gets posted on some truckers' electronic bulletin board and truckers then bid on the job. Still, their initial quotes were far enough off that I would have preferred more transparency in the process. In terms of the overall job, however, I felt that once I accepted a trucker's bid AmeriFreight was very responsive and communicated well with me, checking in at each step to confirm that promised events took place. I was also extremely pleased with the actual trucking company that delivered the car, Avrora. They came for pick up and drop off exactly when promised and the delivery went very smoothly.

I arranged the details of my car transport with Lecia from AmeriFreight. She was outstanding with her service and eager to have my business. She took time to understand my timelime and need to have my car in Portland within a reasonable timeframe. My dates were misunderstood and documented wrong at the beginning, but Lecia was quick to unassign a transporter and reassign a new one with my required dates. This all done within a few hours of time. My car arrived in Portland earlier then expected and the transporter was able to hold my car until my arrival. Once I arrived in Portland, they even delivered my car thirty minutes away to where I was staying for no additional cost. Having my car was one less thing to stress out about in the ladder of details of a cross country move. Thanks AmeriFreight and thanks Lecia!

We were overnighting in Savannah GA on our way to Tampa for a family reunion. But on our way to the hotel a woman texting didn't notice traffic had stopped for an ambulance and rear-ended us making us the middle of a 3 car sandwich. It took a month to repair the car by which time we had returned to Indiana. I had no desire to fly down and drive back again. I've never shipped a car before so I had no idea what to expect. So I looked for an auto transport company that would ease my anxiety and bring my baby safely home. AmeriFreight had high ratings at all the web sites I searched and offered a package that I was comfortable with. Brett was great, returning my calls or emails promptly answering all my questions. Their carrier picked up the car on the day the collision shop released it and delivered it over 600 miles away the next evening! I couldn't believe it! My baby was safely home looking like new and all my concerns had been wasted energy. They truly took the fright out of freighting my car. Great job guys!

Amerifreight did a great job at making sure I was able to get a quick pickup from TN to transport to CA. The communication was clear and concise. However, the driver who picked up the vehicle made it seem like it would be faster delivery of the vehicle than the original estimate however he was not the same driver who delivered the vehicle. I had to call the carrier to get an update after 7 days waiting. After the call, my delivery was done 2 days later. My sister used the same service a few months prior which the exact same route but with a different carrier and the delivery time was only 3 days. In any case, it was a smooth transaction and I would use Amerifreight again.

The selected independent carrier requested an additional $250 and later dropped the increase to $150. The carrier pickup was poorly communicated, pickup was midnight and the delivery was 3 days late beyond the estimated arrival of 7-10 days and delivery was 10pm. AmeriFreight did a good job on their end but their choice of carrier AAA Family Trucking would not get my recommendation for their services.

They gave us the original quote and stated that their may be drivers that would quote higher prices. We were under the impression that we would be able to use the originally quoted price as long as we were willing to wait. We were then called with driver availability but quoted a much higher price and pressured to accept within 20 minutes. The representative, Ali Miller was very rude and unprofessional.

I had my worries about shipping my car but everything went smoothly, the driver was always a call away if I needed to know his where about and it came in a quick couple days. I would totally recommend AmeriFreight too anyone who needs a car shipment.

This was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend Amerifreight if you need to ship a vehicle. Their price was not the lowest I found, but was within a couple of hundred dollars of the lowest priced carrier. Their service, follow up and timeliness were incredible. You are given a shipment coordinator who answers all questions and stays in touch with you throughout the process. Mine was Lecia, and she was simply the best. Our car was picked up within one day of the first available date and delivered across the country in only five days. My coordinator and the driver of the truck were in constant communication with me throughout the transit. The car was delivered in perfect condition. I will use Amerifreight again and would recommend them to anyone who needs to ship a car.

This was my first time using a car transport service and I would like to say that I was completely satisfied with everything. Lecia at Amerifreight made me feel comfortable from the very start of our first telephone conversation. She was very knowledgeable about the transport process and got me the exact date I wanted to have my car transported. In fact, I called Amerifreight on a Thursday and received my first offer to have may car picked up on the following day, which actually, was a few days before I wanted my car to be transported. I was still surprised when I received a call from Lecia four days later saying that she had found a carrier that could pick up my car that day, which was the very day that I had requested. The carrier she selected gave me a good price compared to all of the other car transport companies I had contacted. Lecia called me periodically to update me and to see if things were still running smoothly. She also seemed genuinely concerned about providing me with excellent customer service. Overall great experience in shipping. Was initially very hesitant in shipping my car due to negative reviews for auto transportation in general. Ali was very helpful in responding to questions via email and phone. My order got accepted as soon as it was placed. The car was picked up 1 day late, but delivered within 4 days as promised

I am really impressed with services provided by AmeriFreight Car Shipping. Given the time crunch, Ali Miller was able to quickly arrange for transport of my two cars from New Jersey to California. I am really pleased with the door-to-door service provided. It was picked up on time from NJ and delivered ahead of time in CA. The whole process was very smooth and far better than I had expected.
