Found this company through Angie's list. A recently acquired, not well maintained, old house with a twenty year old HVAC system was acting up. There was an Angie's List deal for an inspection which I purchased, and braced for the bad news. Contacted promptly the same Sunday, and an appointment scheduled at my earliest convenience. The service provider did an un rushed, thorough job. Found that, indeed, the unit had not been recently maintained, but that he only found the need for the heat exchange coils to be cleaned, a pound of coolant, and a switch replaced. Assessed that, despite its age, the unit was otherwise holding up well and likely to perform well another year or two. A pleasant surprise as I was bracing to be quoted replacement costs. The unit is now running great, and I have time to properly plan and shop for a replacement HVAC or geothermal system. No issues. A good honest job and repairs. Price seemed commensurate with the service provided.

The Tech was on time and incredibly helpful. He did not try to up-sell services and was incredibly honest. His visit allowed us to become a long-term customer for HVAC maintenance with Henson Mechanical and we are very pleased with our choice.

The tech. that came out was very knowledgeable and very nice to have work here.He repaired all that was a problem and checked to see if any other problems would occur.I even purchased an work contract with this company even the people that worked at the company office were very helpful and nice as well.You could not go wrong with having this company come and do work for you.The work was completed today and everything is running smoothly.Thank You Angie list for providing this company for help.

The tech did'nt know anything about the Angie's list 29.00 dollar cupon. And I think the price was to high. And now three months later my A/C is not working. At the time I had them out the A/C was working fine just wanted to have someone to take a look at it to see if I needed freion.

Excellent. Unit not cooling well. Paid another company $108 for tune up. They said they could not check one of the units due to broken connection valve and told me the unit would need to be replaced. Called Henson and Cody was out before 9am the next morning. Cody was easily able to check the freon level and add freon. In addition he recommended coils be cleaned which he preformed. Cody was very thorough and kept me informed through the entire process. Unit cools like new now. This is my first time using Henson and will definitely use them again. Have told all my friends about the great experience with Henson and the dishonest experience with the other company. Thanks Cody and Henson!

Tommy showed up when promised and was friendly and professional. Our upstairs was not cooling properly. I also wanted our downstairs unit checked. He quickly diagnosed the problem, performed the repairs and serviced both units. Tommy also made sure I understood the cause of the problem so I can prevent it in the future. I also bought a semi-annual checkup service that Henson offers. I feel very confident in the service Henson and Tommy provided us.

Every time they come out it costs me more money. Each time it is said to be something different each time. Hopefully this time it is fixed.

Upstairs AC unit wasn't cooling effectively. Purchased a $39 tune-up special through Angie's List. Received an email from them 2 days confirming the purchase and asking me to call to make an appointment. My only complant was that they weren't free to come out until after the weekend (4 days later). The technician arrived on time. He was very friendly and thourough. Diagnosed and fixed the problem within 45 min. Was charged an extra $80 for service and freon. He also gave me a reasonable price for a yearly maintenance plan ($205) which I signed up for.

Fantastic, Chris was phenomenal. He explained what he was doing and why. He helped me to understand potential problems and fixes. Overall a GREAT experience. I am sure I will be using them again. Very much worth the money, good value for service.

As always, it went very well. I have been an HVAC customer of Henson Mechanical for many years. Everyone is very professional and courteous from the person who answers the phone to the technician who comes to my house to do the work. They are on time, knowledgeable, helpful and just do good work overall. I feel very comfortable recommending their service.

They were prompt, fast and professional. I'm still waiting to get the registration from the Henson Mechanical Salesman. Otherwise it was a good experience.

It wasn't a good experience. The appointment was late and no late notice. I had to call the office in order to let the technician to do what he supposed to do. The quality of the work wasn't good.

I am still trying to clean up the mold. I talked to Henson about this problem and nothing was offered, not even an apology. However, they called and called to try to schedule the spring service visit. When I explained that I would no longer be using them because I was still trying to clean up the mold caused by their last visit, I essentially got an "OK thank you. Bye."

Came out to diagnose AC problem. Professional and polite, no problem there. My AC did not work; it is an older (15 years) unit. Tech said that motor is burned and need replacement. Suggested new AC unit. Paid $75 fee. Called for the second opinion. The problem turned out to be a burned board, not motor. Replaced board and unit has been working fine.

Overall I am thrilled to death. Had a few minor issues during the installation where my carpet was horribly stained due to them not using a drop cloth. They allowed me to have it cleaned to my satisfaction and deducted this from the price. Had it not come clean they were prepared to replace it. I cannot judge the entire company over the actions of one negligent employee. Things happen all the time in the world and the measure of the company is if they take care of it and make it right which they did. So I was shopping for replacing 2 systems at my home I had recently purchased. It was a foreclosure and in need of a lot of repairs. I was advised to get a quote from these guys by a friend from church. I wound up going with them because they had one year same as cash financing and threw in the duct cleaning for free. Very easy to work with concerning pricing and options. having never owned a heat pump I explored several options including a hybrid gas unit but wound up upgrading to 2 14 SEER systems to get the limited lifetime compressor warranty. Once everything was done they sent their head QC man over to fully inspect things and make sure it was all installed and running properly.

The service has been good. We have used them over 10 years. They have always been professional and on time. They are easy to work with and schedule with. They contact me whenever service is due.

Henson Mechanical was very easy to work with, their office support was well-organized and professional, and although we are not "seniors", they honored a senior citizens discount promotion on service for one of our three units as that floor contains my 77-year old mother's in-law suite. We also had to change the first appointment at the last minute and they were extremely accommodating. The service technician that did the actual duct cleaning was also very neat, clean and professional, it was a huge job that took him about eight hours, and he was friendly and accommodating during that entire time. It has been hard to tell how well the ducts were actually cleaned, although his machine was totally full of dust and debris when he was finished. We continue to have some issues with dust, but as that was the first time the ducts had ever been cleaned on thus seven year old house, we expect it might need to be done again in a few years. All in all, we were happy wit the service, although pricey, and with Henson Mechanical in general.

Had a leak in my AC system somewhere. Tony was to come out between 9:30-11:00, he arrived at 9:45. Very polite, friendly and he didnt mind that I follow him and learn everything I could from the process. He went straight to the attic to start the leak search. No dye required, he just used a small electrical box that senses freon in the air. Sure enough, after about only 5 minutes of prep and searching, he found the leaks. All were around the evaporator coil. No option but to replace it, which was $1,275 for parts and labor and refill on freon in the end. I had called about 6 HVAC companies, and all were going to charge me $79 JUST TO COME OUT, plus the leak finding fee of anywhere between $125-$375. The leak check itself from Henson was $125 but only because I already knew I had a leak (so no $79 diagnostic fee) and he found it right away. That $125 leak search fee can go higher, depending on how long it takes them to find the leak. $1,400 total in the end to get me back up and running with cool air downstairs. A lot of money, but in Georgia, AC is required in the summer. The leak search portion was quick. He was in and out in about an hour and I set up the replacement of the coil on the next Monday afternoon (found the leak on Friday). Very good overall, would recommend to friends.

They are great - I initially hired them to fix a freon leak in my air conditioning unit. The previous company could not fix it in 5 visits (including one from the owner of the company) as they could not identify the necessary part number. Tony from Henson arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and fixed it on the next visit. The cost to do the work was about $200 less than the other company had quoted. Henson has been doing the semi-annual checks on the system for about 18 months now and they are prompt, competent, and use state of the art methods.
