Description of Work: The technician came and checked out my furnace. He offered me a maintenance contract which I agreed to (originally bought coupon through Angie's List for $99. which covered 1 visit) since additional cost was only $50 more and the company would send someone to check on my air conditioner in the spring. The contract also will cover some future discounts for any work and be put on a priority list of there is an emergency. I will most likely continue a yearly contract with them. Although my furnace is old, he indicated only the motor would likely need replaced if it stops heating. This was good news in that the company is not trying to sell me a new furnace.

Description of Work: I contacted Harding Plumbing because my water heater was dripping from the overflow pipe on the backside of my house. When the technician arrived, he told me that it was probably the thermal expansion valve. He cut the PVC pipe leading to the backside of the house at the water tank and determined that was the problem. He replaced the valve and explained to me that he had checked the pressure regulator valve and it seemed to be fine because the water pressure coming into the house was 60 psi. The technician never went into the backyard to check the drip from the overflow pipe to see if it had actually stopped dripping. Almost immediately after the technician left, we noticed that when we turned on the water faucet or flushed a toilet, it sounded as if a lot of water were coming through the pipes initially and then the water pressure seemed to back off to normal. I decided to wait a couple of days to see if maybe there was just air in the pipes or something due to the water being shut off when he made his repair. However, by the following week when we were still having the issue and the overflow pipe was still dripping, I contacted Harding Plumbing again. I asked the gentleman on the telephone if the continued dripping indicated there was too much pressure inside the water tank. He told me the service record showed that the technician had checked the pressure and it was 60 psi but said he would send someone back out to take a look. The 2 technicians that came this time determined that the pressure regulator valve was malfunctioning and that the actual pressure was 120 psi, not 60. While they reduced the price they charged for the second repair, I feel like this could have been a much costlier mistake. Although they corrected their mistake, I'm not sure I would have much faith in what they tell me for future problems.

Description of Work: Shortly after the call was placed Harding arrived to a**** the issue. There was definitely a water leak after the meter and before the line entered the house. They dug around a little to explore before providing 2 options. I opted for the more expensive option to run a new line into the house. The cheaper option would have required pulling up a tree and other developed landscaping and possibly there could be other breaks in the old line that would require further repair in the future and dig up my landscaping again. |Within the week, the utilities were marked and the work complete. I called them back a few hours later due to noise in the pipes. They came out immediately to remove debris from a filter/connection. They had a very customer focused attitude about the call back, which was quite refreshing. |I'd definitely call them again but hope I won't need to!

Description of Work: We needed to replace our water heater. They recommended an appropriate one for our needs. They removed the old one and installed the new one with no problems. Arrived on time and did a great job.
