Description of Work: This is for you folks thinking about using Window World of CSRA. We had all of our windows replaced about 5 years ago($15,000). Last year we noticed that one of the front windows had mold growing between the panes. They are double insulated, double pane with argon gas between so there should be nothing growing in the glass so obviously there is a defect. No problem they came with a great warranty right? I called them and explained the problem and the lady told me she would order one and call when it came in. Some weeks later she called and sent a guy out. I was told when he arrived that there would be a service call fee. Then he informed me that the wrong window was ordered. I was not happy about missing work for nothing but I let it go as I am not without flaws. I didn't hear anything more. I called last week (out of sight, out of mind) and was told the window was there (since June) and someone would come out next Friday between 9-2 and would still have the service call fee. Well it's Friday and the guy shows up with another wrong window and said someone would call... ... ...still waiting for word. Will never use again if they can't take care of people and stand by their products.

Description of Work: I purchased replacement windows for my house with an unconditional lifetime warranty. Over the years the windows have exhibited leaks between the panes and failures of the ballast mechanisms. Up to this year the windows have been replaced and service provided. This year things changed. I needed replacement sashes and ordered them. They suddenly arrived on my front step with NO notice of delivery or any other information. Upon installation the tech broke a ballast mechanism and promised that someone would return to repair it in a few days. After months of no response I called and "left a message" as to what happened. I received a call with a promise of service. Come the promised date the tech showed up but was not equipped to do the work. I was promised another call which I waited for and NEVER received. I called again and have been promised another visit by the manager. This I have not seen yet and so far it appears as if there will be another failure of Window World to do the work they promised in the beginning and in the recent months.

Description of Work: Gary was extremely pleasant to work with. He was very professional and made sure we were happy with the work. His work crew, lead by Tyler Jones, did a fantastic job. They were very skilled and conscientious to do a good job. I highly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreWhen they first came out they were unable to replace the glass as the sunroom was not a standard built room. At that time I was unable to find out the company that constructed the room and they were unsure how to get the broken glass out and replace. Subsequent to that time, they were able to find out how to fix the glass and did an excellent job replacing the glass within the estimated amount quoted. The employees did an excellent job searching how to do the job correctly and finally replacing the glass. I appreciate all the time and effort they put in researching the problem and finally fixing my sunroom. I would recommend Window World to anyone looking for new windows.

+ 0 moreThey were recommended by a contractor we had. They did great work. I did have one problem with the french door and they had to come back many times. Every time I call them, they come immediately. I was totally satisfied with their work. They addressed the problem immediately. The greatest thing was that we had a rental property next door and it was just an old trailer which was a lot smaller than our house and last summer with these windows for one month, our power bill was less for our house than it was for the trailer next door.
Description of Work: I had my french door and five windows replaced with double pane windows by Window World.

+ -1 moreThe owner came out with a sample and an accurate estimate. The job was done in about 2 hours (8 windows), so they were definitely on the job. My only complaint is that they did not clean the windows before they left, so we were scraping sticky stuff off from the stickers that were on the windows. We have definitely seen an improvement in our heating bill this winter, so it's been worth the money. Overall though, for the price I would recommend.

+ 1 moreOverall, it went great. I almost didn't go with them at first because the first salesman that came was new to the company and not very knowledgeable. However, only because my son and daughter-in-law encouraged me, I asked for a second visit with a more experienced salesman. The installation went very smoothly, and they cleaned up thoroughly. There were a few screens that didn't fit quite right; and I received them within a week. This is a wonderful improvement to my home.
Description of Work: I had 15 windows installed plus enclosure of a screened porch.

+ -1 moreExcellent installation, including all detailing and caulking of all windows. Windows were measured, made, delivered on time, installed on time, are have had no problems whatsoever. Best of all the estimate (3 total) was half the price of the others. Windows were of the same or better quality then the other two quotes.
Description of Work: Company installed 22 windows throughout house & garage. Estimate was 1/2 the price of two others that I had received. Windows were of same or better quality, UV rating, etc... Best value for the dollar, very professional, knowledgeable, professional clean-up. I recommend this company over any other in the CSRA.

The salesmen that they sent over to the house was new to the company and he didn't really have the answers to the questions that I had. He had to go and come back. He drew it out a lot longer than I wanted it to be. I had real specific questions because we had several estimates before we were going to make a decision.

+ -1 moreIn our first demonstration, the representative stayed too long. In our second look several months later, we made certain the representative understood our time limit. Both representatives had great knowledge of their product. If our window color choices and style had not been so particular, I believe we may have done business with them.
Description of Work: We fully appreciated in two visits from two representatives presentations on their products. Our needs were such that the window color was not available in their product line. The color that was available was not in a configuration of our liking.

+ -1 moreSo far, it has been an excellent experience. We did contact several of the references (which included people that we knew) and, according to them, the instillation and clean-up will be as hassle free as the estimate process.
Description of Work: Although the windows have not been installed, we have worked a salesperson in regards to estimates, measurements, etc. She was willing to meet with us late in the afternoon so that we didn't need to leave work early. She showed the different types of windows and discussed the differences. She actually brought a (smaller version) of the window to the home and demonstrated how the pane helped keep the heat out in summer and cold out in winter. Finally, she provided us with a list of people that had used this company's services, including address and phone numbers.

+ -1 moreThe salesman came out at the appointed time and reviewed the prices and the products avaliable. We selected the 4000 series windows and he took measurements. The widows came in theree weeks or so and an appointment was made for the following week. This appointment was rescheduled due to rain. The installation team arrived yesterday morning and left this morning at 11:30 after completing the job. They worked quickly and efficiently, and left the exterior clean.
Description of Work: All windows (19) were replaced in single story house constructed 30 years ago.

+ -1 moreThey didn't give me any hassle with this replacement. When they installed the windows they did such a good job. They did quality work and these are quality windows. For price and quality they are the best place to go. We would use them again in the future, but I'm sure I won't have to worry about that because the windows are fantastic. They give you a warranty on the labor and the window itself.
Description of Work: They put windows in for us a couple years ago. Recently I was washing my windows and happened to see a little ping in my window right where the lock is to open the window. I called them, gave them the measurements and they came right out with a replacement and installed it.
