I called and talked with someone on the toll-free number. Someone from the local office was to contact me to set up a visit. I never heard from anyone.

In short, this company was non-responsive. I met with David who identified himself as the franchise owner's son. I brought pictures of the columns on my house and asked if Window World could reface or cover the columns. David said that he had a couple of ways he thought they could offer a solution but wanted to check with some vendors for additional information. He never called me back. I called Window World two additional times, left messages, and never received a call-back. In addition to the column work and storm door, I need nearly 30 replacement windows and new shutters. In short, the company had a $10,000 customer who drove to their showroom, brought pictures, and followed up with two phone calls. This company advertises so I had guessed that they were interested in new business. The reason I contacted Window World is because a friend in Savannah used the Savannah franchise for replacement windows and was effusive in his praise for the company. But the Atlanta franchise owner's son told me they recently acquired the Atlanta franchise and also owned the Huntsville, AL Window World franchise. Having already had familiarity with the Huntsville operation, I would have expected these individuals to return my repeated phone calls--even if to say this particular work was not something they felt they could perform to a reasonable standard. My specific concern is that if a company is non-responsive even prior to a sale, then that company would tend to be even worse in regard to customer service after the sale. For that reason, I cannot recommend the Atlanta franchise of Window World.

Since we moved into our home we have never been able to open them. They were painted shut from the inside and outside. There are many times of the year where it would really would have nice to open the windows and let the cool spring or fall air in. But since we couldn't, often times the inside of the house would be warmer than the outside and we would have to run the A/C to cool down the interior. So we've been considering buying replacement windows for some time. Our neighbors replaced their windows and we were very impressed. And with the tax credit of $1,500 we decided to go ahead with replacing our windows. Heard about Window World from Dave Ramsey show and started looking into them as well many others. The reviews on Kudzu of Window World were not good. But I become a member of Angie's List and saw the good reviews and decided to go with Window World. The salesperson, Kevin, was very knowledgeable and quickly explained the product, took measurements, wrote up the order in under 2 hours. There was no high pressure sales. It was basically "here's what we have to offer, what would like, and let's write the order and agree on price". Sales order was placed on March 21st 2010. The installers, Justin Whitley and crew, were absolutely awesome. They were on time, friendly and very efficient. A++ quality work. They got all the windows installed in one day. Because of a thunderstorm late in the day they had to come back over the weekend and finish wrapping the exterior brick mold and caulking of a couple of window. The installers are independent contractors (they are not Window World employees). But don't that sway your decision if you're considering Window World. My only complaint is with the Window World office. They do not seem to have it all together. My patio door and kitchen window are not yet in. I got call from them about 2 weeks after the order regarding my credit card. I returned their call and left a message for them to call me back. Weeks later, no return call, I called them again. Apparently I have a Window World credit card (Wells Fargo financed) that requires the local franchise to take some action (i.e. call in merchant #??). Then about another 2 weeks later I get another call from them stating the windows are in but door is on backorder and will be another 5 weeks. I was told that I could get a standard patio door immediately and could save money. I told them no I want what I ordered (I suspect the order got messed up) I asked if it would be possible to go ahead have the windows installed now and the door installed later. They guy said sure, that he would have "Carter" call me back. Again, several weeks later, no call back. I call them, AGAIN, and finally get them to schedule the installation of the windows. In summary, good sales people, excellent product, high quality installers. It's the local franchise office personnel that are the weak link. I still don't have the door yet and will update this summary once installed

Signed contract beginning of December estimated 4 weeks for delivery and installation, after 6 weeks I placed a call wondering why it is taking so long. "Turn over" was stated for the reason, when asked why i was not informed it would take longer they proceded to discuss their work load??? I am satisfied with my windows but not with their customer service or lack of responsibility to their consumer...me. I did try to give them a second chance with my garage door but they quoted me a "Qoute" that was 3 weeks out!! i went to Lowe's and got my garage door; bought, measured, orederd and installed by the time of Window Worlds original quote date. I also had a repair call in for my sliding glass door that decided not to lock; 7 days before i got some one to call me back to "Schedule" a repair. I wrote a "Concern" letter of my experience to Window World 2 months ago and still have yet to recieve a response. I will not recommed nor use this company in the future.

It was excellent and it was the third time we have used the company. The installation people were very professional and friendly. The sales rep we used this time around was a little on the abrupt side though.

Obtained 4 quotes (one was over $18k!) and Window World was the lowest. Did not base decision exclusively on price but on AL reviews and other features. Took about 5 weeks from time I signed the contract. Took advantage of the "12 months no interest" financing which requires you to make 12 equal monthly payments. First scheduled installation was delayed by a day due to rainy weather. Installers (sub-contractors) arrived on time the following day. I had to remove all window treatments (blinds, curtains, etc.) but did not have to remove mounting hardware because it was not installed on the inside of the frames, allowing them to remove the old windows and install the new ones. They installed all the windows in about 10 hours (10:30am-8:30pm). Michael and one helper did all the work. Michael was very professional and knowledgeable while his helper did not speak any English. They worked quickly and overcame several installation obstacles (window framing that was not square, etc.) in a good fashion. Two side-by-side windows were combined into a single large double-hung window, as well as 2 large windows in our breakfast nook and master bath. They cleaned up after themselves and cleared all debris from the yard and roof. Their removal and reinstallation of the trim was good - no apparent damage and will be as good as new after a little paint. Michael left me several tubes of white and clear caulk to address any spots that may require touch up, if I chose to do it myself. He told me to call if I had any issues and he would come out and make things right. The windows themselves are all individually serial numbered and have liftetime warranties on the glass and housing, even if broken by a rock from a lawnmower. Overall, good efficient installation with minimal disturbance to my home. They were comfortable with my Standard Poodle after they were introduced and I let them feed him some treats. Would recommend them to others.

Excellent job. The one day job took two but that wasnt a problem. Any issues that I had along the way were immediately taken care of.

The representative did an excellent presentation, was knowledgeable and able to provide satisfactory answers to our questions. We intended to purchase their advertised window package (installed price), but after learning about the potential $1500 tax credit, we asked for upgraded windows that met the specifications to qualify for the tax credit. We also modified our order after learning Window World could replace 2 sets of side-by-side double hung windows with 2 slider windows in the same space. They provided instructions for homeowner advance removal of obstructions around the windows to facilitate window removal & installation. We removed window coverings, moved furniture, and trimmed landscaping as per the instructions. We were complimented by the installers on how thoroughly we had prepared for their arrival. The two man crew was on time, very efficient, friendly, answered questions and did an excellent job of cleaning up after completing the installations. We found almost no residue remaining after they finished the job and very little collateral damage. They did an excellent job installing the new windows.

I am very happy with the new windows. They are an unusual shape and I was not sure how long it would take to complete the job, but they were very quick and cleaned up the mess all in less than a day. They were very professional and came on time and went straight to work. I did get a written estimate before the work was done and feel that the price is good for the work that was done.

I would highly recommend this company. They are very knowledgeable and professional in every aspect of their work. They showed up on time and they were very clean. They did a superb job and they were very easy to work with.

Used ad in local paper to call for an estimate. Salesman was prompt, friendly, cautious, and answered all questions TRUTHFULLY. Installer arrived on time and did an excellent job. There was NO mess or residue left behind. I'm extremely satisfied with all aspects of transaction and would gladly recommend to anyone needing new windows.

The crew showed up on time and in one day removed the old windows and installed the new. They worked efficiently and cleaned up afterward. They were a little sloppy on some finishing detail -- the vinyl strips that cover the side walls do not all completely cover the openings. I suspect if I had paid closer attention at the time, or called them later, they would have fixed it, but it is no big deal.

Great price and quality. Installation was delayed by weather, but other than that it went exactly as scheduled. Windows were $4,000 cheaper than Home Depot estimate for a lower quality window (not all vinyl, single hung and installed from the inside so no external upgrades). Installation is perfect, well caulked and sealed and we can see a difference in noise and cooling already. Independent installers used by Window World were courteous, very efficient and mindful of dirt and debris into the home.

When the installers came, they were polite and knew what they were doing. I was surprised at how quickly the job was done. They cleaned up and hauled away the old windows too. Since then we have had all the remaining windows replaced in our home and Tom and the installation crew have been great. My daughter recently bought her first home and she called Lowes, Home Depot and a couple other window companies. She couldn't do better than Window World in comparable value. In fact, for the the price of four home depot windows installed, she could replace ALL the windows in her home from Window World!!! Needless to say, she placed an order with Tom!

The salesman who measured the windows was responsive to questions, and returned calls promptly. It took a bit longer for windows to come than they said, but they were flexible about coming on a Saturday to install because I am a schoolteacher. When the installers came, they were very polite, on time, and installed the new windows quickly and well. My windows are over 5' tall, and the cost for a very good quality, double-paned window with Argon gas in between was only $295/window--half the cost of the Home Depot's estimate for the same window. That includes taking away your old windows, and all the trash. (You have to order a minumum of 3 windows.) I am very pleased with everything about their service and quality!
