They were great. The first visit he did all he could to educate us about our system and how to care for it as when to call for a problem visit. He didn't have the right size filter for our system so he let us run out and get one so that he could install it. He seemed to stay an extra long time to be sure our AC was running as efficiently as possible and made sure to remind me to purchase a coupon code on here to save me some money on the service. I had to call him back a week later because I was concerned that the AC was not working properly and the company made sure I had the same technician. He then focussed his attention in the house and explained that the way that we had our furniture set up was suffocating the AC and not allowing it to pull in adequate air. Although I felt like an idiot, he provided the service free of charge and was very informative.
Description of Work: The provider began by coming out to complete a routine HVAC cleaning. Once there we ended up purchasing a service agreement and fixing other things.

he was a nice guy but he spent more time explaining the annual contract and trying to upsell me and fixing my actual toilet he came by the second time and my toilet is still not working

I hate to hear you did not see the value in our home protection plan as well as feeling we deserved an “F” in all categories even though we arrived in the scheduled appointment time both visits. You only came out of pocket $94 for the original service call in which we augured your toilet and gave you 2 options pull and reset toilet and try to clear drain or just replace the toilet. Had you let us pull and reset and try to clear the line and this didn’t work we were going to credit that cost to the replacement which would have been the next step. We also came back out for a second trip at no charge to confirm options and tried once again to augur at no charge. Unfortunately by not approving the recommended repairs your toilet will never work properly. Also keep in mind that there are limitations on drain repair warranties as if problems are not properly fixed or items are going down the drain that are not suppose to drains will always continue to give homeowners issue. I sent a message through AngiesList late one night for a quote to install a new circuit and external receptacle to connect a camper. A Snappy rep called back first think the next morning. The rep said there was a service fee for an estimate, but after I made it clear that under no circumstance would I pay for an estimate, the rep was willing "waive the fee this time." I was told the electrician would arrive between 9:00-9:30am, but they actually arrived closer to 10:30am. $The electrician reviewed my system and quoted the job at $1025. This rate was over 3 times higher than most of the other contractors I have contracted. I decided to go with a different electrician

I apologize that you felt we deserved an F after your experience with our company. We do have a service fee of $29.95 for all electrical and plumbing quotes to compensate for gas and labor; this is waived if we perform any work. Our service technicians are guaranteed 40 hours each week so on occasions when we are slow we will waive trip charges depending on location of existing calls compared to estimate request in question. This is not normal procedure but we had a scheduled appointment in your area that afternoon and were trying to fill the schedule for that day. We always offer 2 hour windows and keep clients updated on their scheduled appointment times throughout the day and window. We do this because service calls can take different amount of times depending on the scope of work as well as time of day and traffic in particular areas. Once our technicians are on-site they stay with the customer until all problems are resolved and/or quotations are given. This 2 hour window allows us to modify the schedule as the day’s progresses and move calls to other technicians that may finish early or accommodate for calls that reschedule. After listening to the call between you and the call center Ashley said it would be a 9-11 timeslot but we were dispatching the technician from the Marietta area and it would be 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic, this was just before 9am and he arrived at 10:13am according to the GPS on his truck. As for pricing you required a 30 amp circuit which would have required externally mounted conduit and weather proof enclosures. This would have been installed to ALL NEC codes and came with a lifetime warranty; and we stand behind our pricing. I am not sure how many quotes you received or if all quotes were from licensed and bonded electricians as this would play a role in price comparisons. In your message you mentioned it was an outlet that would only be used a couple of times a year and wanted the cheapest installation possible, unfortunately we were not the right contractor for the job in question. They did a great job. We were very happy. They found the problem, they stuck with it and they finished it. It was priced fairly. It was excellent. The person also was a very courteous and nice person. I would definitely go with them again. He couldn't work on the inside of the house. He had to work on the outside. I would give them an A+.
Description of Work: We had a blocked sewer line and it was on the outside of the house in the mainline. Snappy Electric Plumbing Heating & Air found it and he fixed it.

They tried to upsell me on a maintenance package which wasn't I wanted, and they tried to charge $300.00 for parts and labor even though the job took 5 minutes. However, the company did do a great job of recifying these issues once I brought them to its attention.
Description of Work: I hired them for them for some plumbing work as part of a promotion through Angie's List. Specifically, I wanted them to fix a hissing toilet.

It went well except we ended up spending $500+. They did an electrical inspection and wanted us to spend another $300. The latest thing they did arrived to look at the air conditioner and one came in to say we would be getting new air condition without looking at anything. Changing the system is a few thousand dollars. He used high pressure tatics to pressure us to do it at that time. I said I need to think about this and called another company to get a second opinion and they said I needed to change one .50 fuse. I think this is fraud and deception.

I apologize if you feel we used scare tactics, as that is not how we operate. As we discussed on the phone after the service call the recommendations made by the electrician were safety devices (GFCI outlets) required by code and he was only advising you of how they work and why they are required. The repairs on the plumbing portion of the job were well within market value and the pricing was provided up front before we started and did not change the scope of work. I understand that this was a rental property and that upgrades are not always in the budget, and appreciate the time you allowed me on the phone to discuss your service call. The first bathroom faucet did not fit and had to go back and order another. it took some time, but worth the wait. Highly skilled professionals and excellent customer service. Expensive, but they do the job right.

Jack Garland did a great job and he was professional, very knowledgeable and friendly. The only concern I had was the delay in arriving however the Snappy office kept me updated and things happen so it all worked out. Jack installed the garbage disposal I bought and figured out my sink issues. My choices were to either buy a replacement nozzle (which I am doing) or get a new faucet etc. which I eventually want to do but not now. Jack was helpful to tell me what part to look up on the Internet since it was an older part and I did find it thanks to his advice. He fixed the toilet which was running water constantly until I had shut the water off in the bathroom. He replaced the fill valve and flapper. Now the pressure reducing valve is something that I was unaware of that needed fixing, but my pressure was around 75 and moving up up up.... So now it is at 55. We have had issues in our neighborhood with the water pressure too. The electrician Jarrett Garland who came out earlier in the day had told me about the home protection plan and Jack brought it up too so I decided to go purchase it. So all in all it was an expensive day but stuff I needed to do. Jack did try to give me the best deal he could considering all that I had done and I appreciated that. Of course I am not savvy on what is good for Plumber's pricing but it all seemed reasonable to me, since again it also included a home protection plan. I really appreciated the fact that Jack took the time to tell me what to look for if I have issues for example with the garbage disposal in the future. Things I could try before calling Snappy. Another example is that now since my water pressure is good, that when I go on vacation to move the water temperature and other little tid bits like that, which are very helpful. I was very pleased with the Snappy Service.
Description of Work: 1. Put in a new garbage disposal 2. Water would not work from the kitchen faucet so he fixed that 3. Fixed downstairs toilet 4. Replaced pressure reducing valve 5. I bought a home protection plan.

I called for a quote and was told next day between 12-2. I explained it was a roof top unit etc. I received a call at 2:00 from the tech that he was on the way. 2:45 He showed up I walked hime thru the problem. He didn't have a ladder to get on the roof so they had to reschedule me for the next day. A different tech came the next day so I had to walk him thru the whole problem during my work day forcing me to make my clients wait. When he gave me the quote it added up to being 1,293.00. It seemed way high and I wasn't convinced he'd properly diagnosed the problem. I called around and got a different company to come out. They showed up on time and diagnosed it completely differently. Turns out the fan motor was broken, (in addition to other issues) which wasn't even detected by Snappy much less included in the 1,293 quote. God only know's how much the total cost would've been. I purchased the deal from Angieslist, $75 for $150. Unfortunately I won't be able to use the remainder of the certificate since I didn't use them to make the repairs. So, buyer beware... Got the job done by a different company for $750.

Initialy visit they did an inspection, which was suggested to me by home inspector on sale of home. They looked at system but did nothing but charge me 40.00 & suggested maintenence plan. We did purchase maintenance plan. They came back out for inspection, cleaned system (for additional charge) & told us we needed a pump replaced on unit. They were suppose to call us with a quote for the pump that they say is not functioning. We have not heard anything from them, my husband has called twice now - still no pump quote & still not even a call back. As I said we are under a maintenance contract which looks like we will not be renewing.

Snappy came to fix air conditioner but discovered fan system on furnace had failed. Gave estimate to repair furnace but after 6 days could not get parts. Offered me a deal on a new furnace and installed it quickly to fix problem. Everyone involved was very professional and timely. Recommend highly.

Awful Electrician put holes in island and thru a drawer-had to get a cabinet repair and repainted! Poor job with installation- outlet not straight and flush. Never on time but called for bill payment within 10 minutes of installation. They are awful!!!

My first encounter with Snappy Plumbing was on 4/15/13. After reading all the great reviews on the company on Angie's List, I decided to have them come out and give me an estimate on repairing/replacing the gas starter valve on my fireplace. I chose Snappy to do the work, and have zero regrets. The initial plumber, Jason (initial review, estimate) and later Jack (came out to finish after Jason was held up on another job) did a fabulous job, I love that Snappy provided me with a flat price as opposed to a range. At the time of the gas valve replacement, I purchased a Home Protection Plan. This is by far the best $149 I've ever spent. Not only does it provide a lifetime guarantee for any work Snappy performs at my home, it also provides me with yearly inspections on my electrical, plumbing and HVAC. It was during my Plumbing inspection on 6/11/13 that Snappy Plumber Jack discovered that my shower was gushing water into my crawl space. Due to shortcomings from the builder, the job took a lot longer than it should have. Through it all, Jack was the ultimate professional. I kept looking to see if there was a cape underneath his shirt. His professionalism, and extreme attention to detail puts him in the super hero league in my book. After a some bad experiences with plumbers, I am thrilled to have found Snappy.

I'm very pleased with their service. The gentleman who came out was probably the most knowledgeable and professional that has ever service my AC. They went above and beyond by helping me to look at some options that would help me but no means tried to sell me or pushed me to buy anything. Actually they told me that I probably should wait a little while before I buy a new AC. They provided me an excellent service.

Purchased a Big deal for Snappy Electric Plumbing Heating & Air. They replaced a insinkerator. It wasn't good for one reason, they quoted me a price for the part $330.00. I thought that was high so I found it at the hardware store for $99.00. I called and told him I would bring it to the house for him. He installed the part I supplied. The service technician was great but the company charging that much for the part I didn't like.
