I used an Angie's List Big Deal coupon for this service and I thought their pricing was reasonable. They got it done the day after Christmas and I was thrilled. One thing that really distressed me was that they said they would be out the absolutely first thing in the morning but they actually did not get here until after 3 p.m.; so they were much later than they said they would be. Aside from their tardiness, they were quite good and very thorough.
Description of Work: I used Snappy Electric Plumbing Heating & Air to fix a sewer problem that had overflowed into my basement.

We know that nothing can ruin a day much less a Holiday like a stopped up sewage line. Not only is it an inconvenience but can cause major property damage along with being a health issue. We have all the latest equipment to resolve sewer drain issues from back-ups, to root and breaks as well as hydro-jetting to recondition existing drains. We also have lifetime warranty options on all drain cleaning solutions. We appreciate the business and apologize about the scheduling, but when we called the following morning to confirm the appointment we were unable to reach anyone to make sure someone was at home. Unfortunately with rising gas prices we cannot send out a service tech without first confirming that someone will be present to let us in. Once you called back later that morning the afternoon appointment was all that was available. We appreciate the honest report on your experience as well as the business and look forward to working with you in the future. ~Management~

Everything went well. They are not the cheapest in town, but at least when something goes wrong, you know where to find them and they stand behind their work. I really liked the technician that came out - he was nice, honest, and knowledgeable.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal for this job. They did a quality job and I was pleased. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves and they were on-time; however they were a little expensive.

They did some plumbing work. I had some more plumbing work to be done, but I find them a little expensive. I liked them, they were very nice, professional, and they did a good job.

Read the fine print. If I had clicked the link to 'Show Fine Print' and read it, I would have seen that the coupon only applies to houses with 'normal in-floor/stack access'. And I probably would have guessed that my house doesn't have that. So, I would not have called them out expecting to use the coupon. But I did explain the situation and my intention to use the coupon to two people on the phone in the process of making the appointment. It would have saved us both some trouble if they had mentioned this limitation on the use of the coupon. Update: 2/10/2013. In your response to my review, you claim that you explained on Sunday that a clean-out would be required in order to use the coupon. That is not true. If you had explained that over the phone, I would not have chosen for you to come out the next day and charge me $29.95 to repeat that explanation in person. All I got for my $29.95 was that information. It is true that you explained over the phone that the problem may be in the septic tank not in the line. I have complaint about that. I was willing to pay $99 to see if that would fix the problem with the understanding that it may not. I was not willing to pay $704. My only complaint was that you could have saved me some time and expense with a little more information on the details on your coupon offer. Now, I can add to that you were not truthful on your 1/14/2013 response.
Description of Work: The main sewer drain in my house needs to be cleared. Sewer drainage from the main level overflows thru a toilet in the basement. They didn't perform any service, but they charged $29.95 to explain that the the $99 special on Angie's list does not apply to my house. Since my house doesn't have the standard type of access to the main line, it requires removing a toilet. This costs $704.

I apologize about the confusion, however when we spoke on that Sunday afternoon I informed you that a clean-out or access into your drainage system would be required to use the coupon. While on the phone we also determined that it may have been a septic issue and I advised we did not offer that service if that was the case, to save you from paying our service fee. As for the "fine print" unfortunately all coupons have limitations, and Angies List handles the layout of each BigDeal and Coupon that members see on their website. We the contractors have limited access to the layout of the deal only the details listed. We have sold many of these coupons over the past few months with little issue, as most customers have some point of entry to their drains already built into the plumbing system. I apologize again for the inconvenience and will reach out to you to discuss further and hopefully resolve your complaint. Unfortunately, they were not able to fix either one. The faucet needs to be replaced, as does the toilet. One serviceman gave me the name of a website where I can find a higher qualityh faucet at much lower prices than retail "big box" stores. While there, they checked the pressure coming into the house from the street and found that the pressure regulator isn't working and will take $500 to replace. I'll probably use them again, to fix the faucet, toilet, and pressure regulator, but will get another quote first,, just be sure I'm getting the best rate possible.
Description of Work: I had a kitchen faucet that had come loose, and a toilet that was "rocking".

The service providers were both very courteous and professional. One problem was that the plumber asked if we wanted certain services provided, but did not provide the costs for the services. We thought the charges were exorbitant for the work done. We plan to continue a service agreement with this company for the guarantee provided if the agreement stays in force - i.e., lifetime warranties on the parts replaced in furnace and the toilet.

Keep in mind that there is more built into everyone’s pricing other than just parts and labor. Although the repairs may have seemed simple by watching the techs perform, they are licensed and very skilled at their trade making some tricky or complicated repairs look easier than they may be because of their experience in the trade. They were great and very professional. The office calls me to keep me updated on the status of my technician. They also even sent me a picture of the technician that was coming out. They were very professional and very nice in everything from the time we called in and booked a call to the time they came out. It was topnotch. They were on time. They came out, gave discount pricing for plan holders that includes reinspection from the other departments if you want it. They also get your spring and winter tune ups.

The deal was not presented as intended by the provider. They sent out 3 techs to do each individual service which meant each service was entered into their system separately. They contacted me multiple times to confirm the appointment which seemed odd that they would have to keep confirming after I did it once. The day of the appointment, they called me a total of 5 times - to ask if the tech could come early (the time they wanted him to come was at the beginning of the expected window, no earlier) and to let me know the tech(s) was on the way. Once they arrived, none of them removed their hands from their pockets except to write estimates for the work they felt we needed. The prices quoted were astronomical and the techs gave me no sense of their level of expertise or professionalism that would lead me to purchase their services again. The HVAC tune up was completed, but not to my expectation. They replaced the filters and then told me how to clean the burner pans myself with degreaser.

I will start by apologizing that your were not 100% satisfied with your experience with our company. You purchased the Whole House tune-up special for $99 which included a full inspection for Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC. This required several technicians from each trade to receive a quality inspection, as our technicians are trained in each of their respective trades. Also keep in mind that along with the inspections you also received at No Charge up to 3 free toilet flappers if needed, up to 3 free aerators for existing faucets, replacing the batteries in all of your smoke detectors, a full heating maintenance at time of purchase along with a full cooling maintenance in the spring. We feel this is a great deal of service for only $99.00! We did quote to pull and clean your burner assembly in the furnace as it was really in need of a cleaning; this was quoted at under $100 and would have taken some time to do correctly. Keep in mind that part of an inspection is to locate potential issues before they arise and leave you with no power, no heat, a flooded house, water damage etc…This is no different than a routine doctor’s appointment for your home. We rarely inspect houses of 10+ years that have absouloutly no issues through 3 separate inspections. There are also no pressure tactics used to upsale only recommendations for you the homeowner to see what fits your financial situation or budget for future repairs. As for the phone calls updating you of your technicians I can see where this may have been a little annoying, but again this is a policy put into place for all of our service calls to keep the homeowner in the loop of their scheduled appointment. With that being said I have sat down with the call center manager to speak with her staff on better handling call outs for customers that have more than 1 schedule appointment for the same day with different departments. They are very professional and responsive. The only negative was pricing. They charged $30 for an estimate. They came in too expensive on the main supply line replacement so we went with another company. We used the Angie's List Big Deal to pay for the shut off valve replacement. Otherwise that would've been too expensive also.

We own a house in Marietta that is being leased. There was a problem with the heat pump; this company worked with me to schedule an appointment with the family that is leasing the house at a time convenient to them; performed the repair on the heating (turned out to be the thermostat); and suggested that we purchase the service contract. They called me before performing any of the repairs for approval. I am very happy with their service and professionalism. I had purchased an Angie's List Deal; when I questioned the charge on the invoice that was sent because it did not appear that I had been given the credit from the Angie's List deal; they immediately took care of the problem.

I purchases a 'big deal' for $39 for $150 worth of work. I had an appt between 1 and 3 so I arranged for a roommate of mine to be there at that time. He had to get off of work early. They called at 2pm and said they wouldn't be able to make it and asked if I'd like between 3 and 5 or 4 and 6. I chose 3 and 5 so my roommate wouldn't have to wait all day before being able to start his day. They showed at 7pm after I had to call several times to see when they would be there. I had dinner plans that I was late for. They got the job done in about 15 minutes once they arrived. My roommate wasted 5 hours waiting on them and missed work for nothing. I believe they can get the job done but punctuality without me having to call is a big deal for me. Also, even though I only paid $39 - it was a $150 job. I wouldn't say the work was worth $150 so I'm glad I was able to get the deal.

Snappy is an excellent company in terms of professionalism and quality service. After scheduling an appointment, I was provided with both phone calls and e-mails to remind me of my service and to let me know the technician was on the way. Afterward, the company called to find out how my service call went. Their customer service really goes above-and-beyond. My technician Jason arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed the problem, gave me a flat-rate repair cost, and quietly and steadily completed his work in less than an hour. He was both courteous and knowledgeable. I can't recommend Snappy and Jason more highly. I'm looking forward to using their electrical and HVAC services as well in a future re-modeling project.

Woke up Saturday morning and the shower was WAY too hot. I thought maybe one of the kids had messed with the settings downstairs in the basement. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, there was 3 inches of water covering my entire basement. The water was warm, so i headed for the water heart. Sure enough it had failed and water was pouring out. I shut off the water to the water heater and got on Angie's list. The first place i called took an hour to call me back just to tell me they wouldn't be open until Monday. I called snappy and 3 hours later we had a new water heater.
Description of Work: Their service was great. Their price was about 50% over anyone else. I chose them because of the professionalism.

We operate 24/7 7 days a week at the same cost as normal business hours, and have a live dispatcher available those same hours. This is offered because home repair issues happen at all hours of the week, and sometimes a fast response is very important for many different reasons. I am glad to hear you received the great service we expect all of our employees to deliver to our clients. As far as cost on the water heater our prices are middle of the road with the competition, what you received was the set price to include your heater installation with all the code required items like expansion tank and emergency shut-off valve. What seems to be common practice with other plumbing companies is advertising a low cost for heater installation and once in the door additional charges for the items previously listed are added on to “build the ticket” which ends up as the same amount as our price once tallied up. We prefer to provide honest upfront pricing to include all these items vs. the bait and switch tactics as some of the other companies. We also provide lifetime warranties, great customer service, and a fast response. However your feedback is vital, and much appreciated! Crew arrived punctually, we're nice and professional. They took a look around, discussed what needed to be done, and then provided me with an estimated price. The first crew could do some of the work, however they needed a second taller ladder for some attic work,Mao another crew would have to come out for that repair. All in all, I found their service to be very professional and I would use them again. As far as price, they are a bit on the higher side, but overall fair.
Description of Work: We needed some light switches moved, a new ceiling light installed, and several other minor electrical repairs. We also needed some maintenance on one of our ac units on the exterior only.

No problems ... just didn't like the price.
Description of Work: Had a broken flange and a water supply line for a commode replaced. Slab house and they did a good job but a bit pricey if you ask me. I had to get it done as I work in ATL and live in Duluth so getting another quote was too time consuming.

We pride ourselves on great customer service from the entire staff (management, call center, and technicians); an industry tops Lifetime Warranties, superior workmanship and competitive pricing. We cannot provide all of this and also be the cheapest; we prefer to be competitive with market pricing provided by our competition. As for the work performed it required shutting off the water and draining down the house, removal of the toilet, removal of the flange from the concrete where it was broke (which took time and patience not to damage the drain pipe we were removing it from in the slab), removal & installation of a new shut off valve, installation of burst proof supply line for the water supply to the toilet, and re installation of the toilet. All of this work was performed by a licenced plumber that receives random drug test and background screening. After reviewing the invoice with your technician it was thought that maybe since you were not home during the repair that possible you were unaware of the time, work and procedures involved in this repair. Keep in mind that it comes with a lifetime warranty on all parts and labor. Overall the service was fine and they did a good job. The wait time was a little frustrating since the appointment was scheduled for 2 to 4 and they did not arrive until after six. They called to let me know they were running behind but theater did not change the wait time.
Description of Work: I had a leaky sink and faucet assembly. I called them to go to the rental property to repair.

Fine. Technician also gave me specific details on a good thermostat to get to replace the antiquated, inaccurate one that I have and offered to install it free of charge for me when they come back in the spring.
