Lightning Bug Electric

I was in need of a quote for completing a botched cable company cable install of a new line in another part of a room, as well as new work for my home theater speaker setup and an electrician, Larry, allowed me to explain my situation and he said he would investigate the work involved then quote a price. All that said and done, I could not refuse the price for the work involved! My home has an attic, that has a weird construction and is a fairly new build. The studs in the walls were closer than most homes, and cross beams were turned up, instead of being flat, so it meant drilling deeper holes to get through to drop cables through from the attic. In the end, the job was done excellently. Larry explained every option available and clarified every decision he made. In the end, I got what I desired and I could not be happier. I am definitely going to call Lightning Bug Electric and ask for Larry to come back over the Spring to revamp my control panel!

They were good. They came, they did what they were supposed to do, and I was happy with it. They came on time, and they did what I have asked them to do, and they did a good job. They put the fans in and they worked fine. They came when they said they would.

This was an all-day job requiring three technicians. Everything went smoothly and as expected. I will hire them again and recommend them to other people.

Smoothly. He explained what was causing the problem and offered a solution. Very polite, very efficient. The visit was scheduled for 11 to 2pm, but they called me 9-ish asking if I'd be open to have them come a little earlier, which in my opinion, was great. I got the Angie's List 10% discount for the service. I'd call them again. Larry 098 did a great job.

TIm with Lighting Bug came buy to provide me with a quote and although I had asked originally for over $2500 worth of work, at this current time I could only do one piece of the job. Even though I didn't go with the full volume of work, Lighting Bug honored their original "per job" pricing. Tim was prompt replying to my phone calls when I had questions about reducing the scope of work. On the day of the job, Leo and his team arrived on time, used booties to cover their shoes and spent over 8 hrs on site first analyzing best placement for lights, finding a way to cut the least amount of holes in the ceiling (to run wires), and then installing the lights. Leo called in a special crew to come with a super tall ladder to install the ceiling fan pole and replace existing lights in the 15' ceiling at one time I had 4 crew members in my home. As a women, I thinks it's important to say that I felt totally safe begin with any of them. I also want to mention that Leo was training a young man (Mike) that day, and it was interesting to hear Leo politely ask Mike, so "the cabinet light is not working, what could that mean?" Mike would answer and Leo would say "Good, but what else should you check?"?and Mike would answer, and they ran through all the different scenarios together until they found the issue. Then Leo asked Mike to go through every job that was performed and double check to make sure all was working properly. They discovered that one of the dimmers was not an LED dimmer, so they will need to return to replace that. They would have missed that if Leo hadn't suggested that they go back one more time and double check everything. It was so nice to see the level of training the tech's go through before being released into the public on their own. The crews were personable, polite, eager to share their expertise by explaining things thoroughly and kindly suggesting options for future improvements and filling you in on industry changes that are happening. I'm in facility management (but couldn't' use my own vendors b/c of conflict of interest), but i would highly recommend Lighting Bug Electrical to anyone personally and professionally.

He was very nice, quick, and professional. The only problem was he could not put them where I wanted them. There are specific requirements not mentioned in deal or when I called. Luckily I had a second place I wanted some light.

I purchased the big deal for Ceiling Fan Installation only $75. I have used them in the past for other services. They are fantastic to work with. They are professional and the technicians are experts at what they do. They explain things well to you if there are any issues. They do not suggestion unnecessary things to do. They are little on the pricey side but you definitely get what you pay for. They do offer service contracts if you are considering a long term relationship with the company.

Joe is an excellent electrician. He is detailed, ethical, has a high level of electrical knowledge, is a good communicator with a passion for installing electrical items to code and doing work the correct way. It was a positive experience and I know that his work was done correctly. Beca was very helpful with scheduling and several appointment changes due to other renovation work being done. She was more than helpful in communicating with Cobb Co over permit scheduling. These two persons are reason alone to call Lightning Bug and will take great care with your project.

Larry and Michael were very helpful. I had a small task for them to fix, but they also gave great advice and quotes on other issues in the house. They were fast, friendly and professional.

Technician was very professional and fixed issues that I would not have identified. The fixes were done correctly and the technician did not use a work around when there were issues to fix a problem.

Larry was friendly, courteous, efficient and knowledgeable.

Leo and John diagnosed the problem and restored my landscape lighting in just an hour. First they re-wired an outlet that was defective. They traced the lines to find the break and repaired it. The original transformer still worked just fine, saving me $$$. A previous company came out and simply wanted to replace the transformer without diagnosing the real issue. Hats off to Lightning Bug!

I scheduled an appointment for one o'clock to have the LB folks give an estimate for the replacement of two bathroom exhaust fans and to install a whole house surge protector. The estimator called around noon, but I was in a meeting and did not answer the phone. He left a message letting me know that he was running ahead of schedule, and asking if he could come early. I called back a few minutes later to let him know that we would need to keep our original appointment, but was told that because I did not answer the phone earlier and could not accommodate an earlier appointment time, that he would not be coming. The individual, who identified himself as the sales manager, then proceeded to give me a "rough" estimate over the phone. These people are obviously not professionals and do not take customer service or their commitments seriously--proceed with extreme caution.

I filled out Lightning Bug's online request form and they called almost immediately. I had static on my home phone line. They asked a few questions and advised I have the phone company look at it before them because it would save me money.

The office was professional and scheduled the appointment within a few days of me calling. The technician was knowledge and converted the electrical box around the fan to a more up-to-date model which would reduce the risk of fire. he did not charge extra for this conversion. He was friendly and worked efficiently. I've had other fans installed but this one is most sturdy and less noisy.

We thought we'd somehow disconnected the outlet when doing work in the basement, but it turned out to be a faulty GFCI outlet on another side of the house... and the two were connected. They replaced the outlet and the holiday lights were working again.

Excellent! Very courteous, wore booties, used drop clothes, cleaned up their mess. Called before coming, even came earlier since we were at home. They even moved my couch for me so they could get to the area that I wanted the light fixture to be installed in, since I could not move the couch on my own. They had to cut my drywall, snake electrical wire into the soffet area, down the wall, and to my existing dual light switch to make it a triple light switch. Then they installed the fixture, cleaned it, put in the bulbs etc., which I appreciated, since the fixture is in a high place that I cannot access without a tall ladder. The new light fixture had an issue, as one of the lights did not fit properly, and the bulb could not be snapped in place. Instead of telling me that I would need to get another new fixture, they worked on it and got it to work! They were determined to get the job done. WOW! We were extremely satisfied with the job, although it was a bit expensive, however, we had gotten a previous estimate from another electrical company that was excessively higher than Lightning Bug's quote. We would definitely use Lightning Bug Electric again!!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. The technician was friendly, professional and got the job done pretty quickly. The deal actually confused the process to me in terms of what I would have paid without it versus what I was getting and then you're paying for a discount. I really don't like that. It was confusing and annoying.

I can honestly say I had a wonderful experience working with Lightning Bug Electrica. Setting up the appointment was very easy, and they really went the extra mile to accommodate my schedule. They called me the day of the appointment to let me know they were on their way, and Leo even showed up early! He did an excellent job of putting up my new ceiling fans, and balanced them perfectly. (One had previously been a little wobbly.) I got a quote from him before he left to put up two chandeliers. As soon as I pick them out, I will be giving them a call. I would not trust anyone else but him. Very neat and friendly. I do not usually write reviews, but have had a couple of bad experiences lately with other companies. I do not want anyone else to lose money fixing a contractors mistakes.

Great- after multiple unsuccessful calls to other so called 24 hour shops, each of whom advised they wee either committed or had no one available, Lightning Bug came through. Professional staff, called back quickly to advise arrival time for emergency repair on a Sunday later afternoon. Arrived before scheduled in uniform and with all needed tools. Larry was fabulous, efficient, expert and no nonsense. Did not even make fun of my bone headed mistake. Got it done quickly and never wasted a minute. Have seen a lot of electricians over the years- he was the best - careful, marked things, took pictures, put it all back better than before and was pleasant to be around. Great service!

Professional and thorough. Cleaned up after he finished. The only complaint I have is he was trying to sell other services when he arrived. Offering a whole house surge protector for 250.00 and to replace entire smoke detectors for $900.00. I only have 5 smoke detectors. I realize these services are important, my home is only 7 years old. The company did a follow up call immediately after he left and I thought it was professional and good PR.

Leo from Lightning Bug Electronic was on-time, neat, very profession in answering all my questions. He installed two ceiling fans in my upstair bedroom that didn't have existing boxes. The work was done with limited interruption to service and I was delighted with the results. Will be using Lightning Bug Electronic in the future with additional needs as good deals are available.
