Everything went great. James called to let me know he was on the way and he arrived on time. He was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and he did great work on what we needed done. He even made some good recommendations on how we could make our home more safe and more energy efficient. I would use him & Lightning Bug Electric for any electrical job and would recommend that others do the same.

They responded very quickly to my first request for service. We scheduled it for the very next day. They call me early to confirm the appointment and to give me a better estimate of when they were going to show up. About 30 minutes before the appointment they called me again to give me the "heads up" that the technician was on his way. I really appreciated that! Leo, the technician, came in and was very friendly. He took his time to go over all the areas and checking the system up. He identified several issues and gave me recommendations on options to take care of them. I will definitely use this provider again.

They scheduled my appointment for 11am to 1pm. They called before coming and showed up on time. He explained all the work necessary and what it would cost before starting work. He was extremely professional, courteous and friendly. The work was done and explained again. Great, great service, will definitely use them again. Thank you Michael.

They called to let me know that they were on their way. Michael and Steven showed up on time and were professional, friendly and really knew what they were doing. Michael suggested we consider having a second dimmer switch just for the pendant lights. He quoted me a price on the spot and I accepted it. I'm glad that Michael was there because he was not only a real electrical pro, he was quite good at listening. They did all the work I had requested and really took their time to do the job correctly. This was especially appreciated as there were some problems repairing the ceiling after installing that 2nd line. But Michael took his time and they didn't leave until everything was done just right. I would use them again if I ever need electrical work done. I can't say enough how good they were. And I will ask specifically for Michael and Steven the next time. Provider was very professional and ON TIME! Fond that the light fixture I had procured was too small for the box it was attached to and proceeded to fix (rewire) my broken fixture using parts from the one I bought. Also looked ay my panel and found a safety hazard that he corrected.

Worked with Michael who was very courteous and conscientious on the job. He was able to solve a repair issue where a ground wire had crossed into a hot wire in the switch box for an attic light. I had exhausted all options without professional help already. He gave the price up front which was agreed to before work began. There was no additional equipment required so the final price was the same. Still he did tighten all screws and connections as he worked through each of the fixtures on the affected circuit. Great job!

Update, on October 10, 2014 After previously leaving a stellar review for this company, I unfortunately, now feel I must update my former review due to recent events. Long story short, one of the ceiling fans they installed was in my guest bedroom, therefore, used very infrequently. We had over night guest, and fan actually FELL from ceiling in the middle of the night while in operation. Thankfully no one was hurt! Broken glass was everywhere. Please see attached pics.

They were on time, professional, and I was very satisfied with their work. I would recommend them to others.

I called to schedule an appointment but was told they were full for two days. I was put on a list in case they had someone cancel. The office called the same day and told me exactly when he would arrive. The technician Leo was professional and knowledgeable. He told me what was the problem gave me a fair price and complete the job. I relieved a quote from Mr sparky but it was to redo my entire house. Leo came in fixed my problem and gave me a estimate on some additional items. This company will be the first call I make in the future .

These company is AWESOME!!! I was the first appointment of the day. They called to let me know that they were on their way. Leo and Steven showed up on time and were professional, friendly and really knew what they were doing. Leo discovered I had some serious issues and that Ga Power needed to be called. He took the initiative to contact Ga Power and get them out there. I am so glad Leo was there because he spoke the lingo. I would never have been able to explain what the problem was. It was so bad that they had to install a temporary transformer in my yard until they could get out and put in new wiring from my house to the transformer across the street. Had it not been for Leo I never would have known the problem was so bad. They did all the work I had requested and then I had some additional work done based on their recommendations. I now feel safe in my home knowing my electrical system throughout the house has been updated. I would use them again if I ever need an Electrician. I can't say enough how wonderful they were. And I will ask specifically for Leo and Steven the next time. USE THIS COMPANY, you will not regret it!

It was great. Would totally use them again. We had Larry098 as our technician, and he went above and beyond.

I was very pleased with the service. I called to schedule some service, expecting to be offered a date in the future, and was told that the company could have electricians at our house within 45 minutes. Larry and Brendan arrived on time and worked very efficiently to find the problem with a faulty circuit. They kept me informed of their progress and explained the problem and how they would repair it. They also priced the service using a book that described various electrical services. I graded the price as "A" but I am actually unable to compare the price vs other electrical companies. I did not get competitive bids. Nonetheless, the pricing seemed reasonable, it was based on some objective standards, and I had confidence that they were going to be able to successfully make the repair. They also installed 6 exterior flood lights (I supplied the fixtures). Again, I was pleased with their work. I would use Lightening Bug again if the need arrises and I do not hesitate to recommend them to others.

They were able to come right out for the work. There were no additional costs beyond the prepaid price of the deal. They completed work quickly within just a couple of hours. The work turned out well.

I contacted them on Angie's List and they honored a discount from the website. For the work being done on a high ceiling, I thought that the price was reasonable. They price was even a little less than other companies had estimated. Everything turned out very well!

Job was completed to my satisfaction.

This company responded right away when I requested an estimate. They came in better than the competition on price and did a great job. They were very cooperative when working with other contractors during a major home renovation.

I was really disappointed and would not use them again. I spoke to a manager on the phone and he estimated the cost to be $175 to $225 to include labor and the cost of a new fan. When the tech arrived, he did not smile or introduce himself. He asked if I already bought a new fan for him to install. I showed him the fan and said that i was planning to take it back so he could install one of his fans and we could stay in the price range listed above. He told me it would be better to keep my new fan and he would install it for $225. I told him that didnt make any sense based on what the manager had told me, as the price should inlclude parts and labor. He then said he could go get me a simple fan and install it for a total price of $175, so I agreed. Once the job was done, he tried to charge me $225. I told him that wasnt our agreement and he said normally they charge $293. Overall the tech seemed intent on taking advantage of me.

I don't write a lot of reviews on companies because I expect good service from every company. Lighting Bug exceeded all my expectations. They answer when called and arrive when they tell you they will arrive. My installer was Leo Bosarge. He was extremely knowledgeable and really enthusiastic about installing a home theatre. He was punctual, clean and explained everything about the system he was installing. I honestly would go back to this company very quickly. If you have any home theatre project of any kind immediately call Lighting Bug Electrical and ask for Leo. Two thumbs up for everything they do.

Had a circuit breaker that was buzzing. Larry checked it & found a wire was loose. He said if if it happens again, he will replace the breaker. He said he could not charge me for a loose wire. I have added him to my list of providers.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!! Larry listened to everything I wanted and provided a quote prior to starting the work. Larry has excellent customer service skills.

I purchased a Big Deal for $75 for a installation of a ceiling fan. Everything went well and everything works great.

I emailed them from Angie's List to get the advertised discount. They sent a list of available dates and times for service. I chose one and confirmed by email that would work. The day before, I confirmed by email and they followed up with a phone call to learn more about the problem I was having. As I described the problem, the person on the phone said he thought it might have been a lightning strike that caused the initial problem. I briefly described future work I would like quoted and that we would like a whole house testing. We had a pleasant conversation and he assured me someone would be here next day, but could not pinpoint a time. Okay - so we waited - all day. No one came, no one called, no one emailed. Why would I bother contacting them again - I certainly was not willing to hire them. I have chosen another electrician that my daughter used recently; they were very thorough and professional. I look forward to giving that provider a GOOD revue on AL!

Mr Sparky came out and placed a lightning surge protector on the panel incorrectly.. Gave me a quote of $2300 to fix overloaded panel. I called Lightning Bug for 2nd opinion. They quoted $800 for same work. They also fixed some other wiring in the basement that was incorrectly done for another $100. and they corrected Mr Sparky's work. Larry and James were very proficient and polite and cleaned up after themselves. I will use them again.

I did not have them do the work because I felt like almost $300 to troubleshoot and repair one circuit/outlet in the kitchen was outrageous. I called the main office to make sure the electrician was quoting me the right price and the guy at the home office confirmed the price I was quoted was indeed correct. When I told them that I planned to use someone else because I felt the price quoted was very high he offered 10% off which was nice but not enough off for me to use them. So all in all they were responsive, professional and punctual but their outrageous pricing turned me off.
