James was punctual, friendly, hard working and knowledgeable. He pointed out several things that were safety hazards- including the careless wiring that a previous company had done that was clearly a fire hazard. I likely could have gotten a "better deal" in cost with some research of the angies list coupons, but after seeing the poor quality of the work of the other company I hired on price, I decided to get everything done correctly by Lightning Bug. I felt safer after the work was performed and would hire again.

Excellent job by all - the office called to let me know the technicians were on the way, and they arrived promptly. Leo and Stanley were very knowledgeable and diagnosed the circuit problem very quickly and repaired it right away. We had them come back and install some outlets and lighting fixtures for us. Their prices were reasonable and we were very happy with their professionalism and responsiveness. Will definitely use again.

I would never use this company. The guy who came out was a younger guy, large frame, round face, chatty and friendly. I do not remember his name. My husband doesn't do any kind of home repairs, and I know little about it either. This guy picked up on that quick. He also saw our large home. The quote he gave was astronomical. I may not know much about electrical/lighting work, but I'm not oblivious. The worker recommended many, many repairs and replacements. He also said that all of the standard light switches needed to be replaced with the new-style ones. The quote for this alone was $1,200. And it's completely unnecessary. I thought I was getting a safety inspection, and instead this guy is telling me I need to spend thousands of dollars for things that have nothing to do with safety. The guy had a long-winded explanation for everything, over-explained, and gave himself away as a liar. I saved the quote, which was very detailed, and showed it to two different electricians and two men who do electrical work, and all four laughed at the quote--they'd never seen anything like it! It became a running joke. I don't know if this company does quality work or not, but I will say BEWARE and make sure you get a second estimate from another company!

Bobby and Nick came out late on a Friday (after an appointment mixup) and did a wonderful job.

Everything about Lightning Bug Electric has been a great experience. I couldn't be happier with the results and already plan to have them out again once we finish some siding work so they can take care of some outdoor electrical. When I first called, the staff was very friendly and scheduled someone to come out and provide an estimate quickly. They called ahead to let us know that the electrician was on their way, which I appreciate. James showed up for the estimate exactly when he was scheduled to. He listened to what we wanted to have done, then we did a walk through of the house and he gave an honest assessment not only of possible issues, but what was high priority versus what could wait versus things that did not need fixing at all. He was knowledgeable, personable, and honest. Due to the number of items on the list, he promptly rescheduled for a day that was convenient for us an brought Bobby and Nick with him to complete the work. James, Bobby, and Nick showed up on time, did a thorough inspection of the house, the electrical panels, and other issues, then presented us with their findings. As with before, scaled the issues based on what was significant and what could wait. They also had options for us where they were available and told us the benefits and drawbacks of each option. Everyone was professional, but they also seemed to have fun doing the work and working with each other. Lightning Bug has become my go-to electrical service! Will definitely use again!

We bought an Angies List Deal for Lightning Bug electric to inspect our home's electrical system. Jason came out and was extremely thorough. My husband is extremely handy and Jason was kind enough to tell us which fixes my husband could do himself vs have an electrician do. We were very happy with Jason and lightning bug electric's honest opinion. They didn't try to upsell us on anything and were very honest. About a month later (July 27), our electrical panel blew due to a new HVAC system installed. Half of our breakers would not turn back on. Making matters worse this was the afternoon before we were scheduled to have our second child... I called Lightning Bug Electric and they moved things around to be at my house the following day to replace our electrical panel and fix some other less major issues identified during the inspection. (This cost about $3000) We are so very grateful for the considerate and professional service received from them. I highly recommend this company and would never think to call anyone but them for electrical work in the future.

Following a kitchen renovation, I moved a four switch box to the opposite side of a wall. I decided to have a pro come in to run some extra wiring, make the proper connections, and ensure that the project was "per code." Contacted Lightning Bug after seeing hundreds of positive reviews on Angie's List, Kudzu, and Google. Lightning Bug sent James to my home within 36 hours of my call. James inspected my work, made recommendations, and then presented me with a written quote for the work. The quote was a couple of hundreds dollars less than I expected following my previous experiences with All Good and Mr. Sparky. James is very knowledgable and did good, clean work. I will definitely call Lightning Bug for my next project.

As planned. Appreciated no pressure to have more electrical work done.

I called for an estimate at 11:30AM on 10/19/2016. By 5:00pm, half of the scoped work was completed, and the remainder was finished the following day. The technicians were very competent and professional. The job was completed at exactly the estimated cost. Although the cost was higher than a competing estimate, I would definitely recommend Lightning Bug Electric.

Great, Jeremy fix some problem we have had for years. We had other electricians before but they did not find the problems to be fix. Jeremy did stop until he found the problems and fix them. Thanks lighting bug Electric PS thanks you also Angie's List for having great companies with Angie's list. This the second time I have use you and it will be more.

The technician came out on time and fixed my issues without any problems. I highly recommend this company.

They updated electrical panels, outlets, ceiling fans, and moved bathroom lighting fixtures as well as installed a floor outlet. They installed a surge protector on the panel as well. The team was professional, polite, personable and cleaned up after themselves. They answered all my questions and even helped with a technical tech issue. I highly recommend them. In addition they noted another issue in my crawl space that needed to be taken care of right away.

Very well. Inspection was very thorough and several issues found. The original issue was diagnosed and repaired. We also had an unknown problem repaired as well as another mildly annoying issue done. All of the repairs and the inspection was less than the cost of a single electrician visit. Work done well and everything explained.

Everything was completed as requested and can't say enough about Sean and Steven. Professionalism exhibited was greatly appreciated.

From the phone call to lightning bug electric to the installation, everything went so smooth and pleasant. When I spoke with Becca on the phone, not only did she answer all of my questions she was sooo nice! Thank you for that Becca. :) When Leo came out to give me an estimate he was so professionally friendly. Leo didn't pressure me try, to sell me anything he answered any question I had. I said yes on the spot. The job he did was great! Thank you Leo! :) I am going to hire them again for sure! I'm so excited to find an awesome electrical company! Yay!!

The technicians Bobby and Justin were extremely helpful in diagnosing our electric issue in our home. They did not try to sell us on unnecessary services and made sure to give us multiple options based on our budget. They both also made sure that my husband and I were well educated on what our issue(s) were and what needed to be done about them. They also completed the work in a very short amount of time. :) Will definitely be using them again if any future issues arise!!!

they found a GFCI plug that was bad, I had attempted to replace it but couldn't get the breaker to reset. Some things are better left to the pros. Even thought a CFCI is a simple repair, when you're not sure, it's nerve racking. well worth the cost.

Bobby and James came out to do the whole house electrical inspection at 4pm on a Friday (the day after I reached out to make the appointment) and agreed to stay and make all of the repairs in spite of it being so close to the end of the day. They were very professional and willing to explain exactly what they were doing, and why it was recommended. They ended up working until after sunset and, in spite of that and having to make a couple of supply runs, they were a pleasure to work with until the very end. I will certainly recommend them and use them again myself.

I've used this company before. Unfortunately prior to calling them for this job, I made the mistake of choosing a different provider for this job because of a coupon on Angie's List. That was a mistake as the other company misdiagnosed the problem which would have resulted in me paying about double on the repair. Plus the other company tried to upsell me on other services for my home which I did not need. Luckily, it all felt very wrong to me so I called Lightning Bug Electric. They sent out a technician who had been to my home before (Leo) on a previous occasion and who I was comfortable with. Leo correctly diagnosed the problem (unlike the other company), which was an arced electrical outlet that had not been installed properly when the house was built. He explained it, answered my questions, and repaired it efficiently and for half the price the other company was trying to charge me. He was (and always has been) professional and friendly. The next time I have an electrical need, I will remember to call Lightning Bug Electric first!

Steven and Leo were professional, courteous and basically outstanding! I plan to use Lightening Bug for a few more projects around my house. I would recommend them to anyone I know!

I live in a very old condo have had several companies and a variety of services come and visit over the past two years. Lighting Bug Electric is by far one of the best experiences I?ve had. Bobby and James are extremely knowledgeable and they take the time to explain things in laymen?s terms for those that aren?t as familiar on what is required to keep me safe in my home when it comes to electrical requirements, repairs and safety. Very happy with the service and work, would recommend to others!!!

Had a problem with a blown breaker that took out power to part of my house. Called Lightning Bug and they came out the same afternoon to replace the breaker. Jeremy was very pleasant to deal with, took care of the problem and answered all of my questions. After he left the breaker tripped again, called the company and he did a u-turn and immediately came back to look at it again. Turns out there was an additional problem with a pool pump that was tripping the breaker, which caused it to fry the first time. Jeremy also went beyond the call of duty by explaining some electrical items relating to my new home, that I think saved me a big headache in the near future. I would highly recommend the company and Jeremy in particular.
