Awesome. From the first appointment to the completion it was a pleasant experience. So patient with my request to change the floor bed curve of the concrete, 3 times.

The work turned out fantastic. I think we have the nicest driveway in the neighborhood. The concrete has held up nicely and we have received positive feedback from our neighbors. They also worked quickly and efficiently, and we have nothing but good things to say about them.

I would not recommend doing business with Hemma. To go over in details why I would not recommend Hemma, would serve no useful purpose here. They know good and well what the issues were and that will remain between the two parties involved. Just know that at least one person here on Angie's List, definitely had a negative experience with this company. God bless.

Job handled professionally from the start. At the time of the estimate they gave me detailed information about the process and presented all options clearly. They start the process on time and finished it as scheduled. They did an excellent job of cleanup upon completion. Since that time I've had several neighbors and friends comment on how great the driveway looks. With their attention to detail I expect it will continue to perform well. I wouldn't hesitate to use this provider for future jobs.

From start to finish, Hemma was a class act. Their bid contained the most specifications. They were not the low bidder or the high bidder. The grade of concrete they used (commercial grade) was the strongest of any bidder, reinforced by both fiber glass and rebar. They had the most seams of any bidder. As promised, they completed the job in two days. This was a challenging job because it's a steep driveway, sloping toward the rear, and drainage was a problem with the old driveway. Hemma got it exactly right. I've had several contractors on other work at the house since then and they have commented on what a great job this was. I can recommend them without qualification.

Hemma was outstanding in all respects. Their quote was the most detailed and informative of four bids we received. Hemma provided the highest quality job -- 4800 psi commercial grade concrete compared to 4,000 psi from all other bidders. This includes steel reinforcement and fiberglass (our driveway is used by some utility trucks). The procrew leader was very professional and courteous, and understood all our concerns and requests. The job was done in exactly the time promised. The finish and trim on the driveway is beautiful -- the finest on our street. I couldn't be more pleased. A year later a 52,000 lb. crane went on our driveway without damage. Thank goodness for commercial grade concrete!

My first review, ever. I normally don't complain. But, I'm tired of companies wasting my time. The good ones should get all the business and the bad ones should either change their behavior or go out of business. So, here's my experience. My wife and I both arrived at our home an hour before the scheduled appointment and we ate Lunch, while waiting. Our dog roamed our entryway at the time. But, the representative never showed. i called him 20 minutes after the appointed time, figuring he might be delayed. About 45 minutes after the appointment time, the representative returned my call. He told me he was there and "pounded on my door." He said no one answered. I asked him when he was there. He said he was there on time. He said he left his business card in our mailbox. I asked him if he could come back. He laughed and said "no." I told him we were at the house. I explained that we were sitting within eyesight of the front door. I explained that our dog did not bark when he came to the door (our dog always barks a lot when anyone walks anywhere in front of our house). He told me he would have one of his guys call and reschedule. No return call. I checked the mailbox. Sure enough, he had placed his card in it. Odd that he would put a card in there, rather than on our front door. But, our mailbox is not easily visible from the front door. It's a pretty big front yard. i guess I know why there was a 25 minute delay between my call to him and his return call. I wish I hadn't wasted a half day away from work, so i could be home. I wish I had read the reviews here, so I would have understood not to try to do business with these folks.

It is important to note that due to some of the requirements of the yard work, some of the work had to be done before the driveway. I am a professional project manager so this type of constraint is recognised immediately. Why is this important? Only in that it is imperative to get a quotation in to combine with the driveway quotation so that scheduling of the work can begin. There is really nothing more to say except that when it is time to begin work, Hemma will not be a part of my team.

I called this company twice and they never called me back

They were excellent and professional. They were very patient and knowledgeable. They came back and pressure washed my street; they were very clean about it. When I got the quote from them they came with a 200 page book rather than most companies came with just a piece of paper with what they do.

It turned out very good. They are an excellent resource.

I just used them for an estimate. They arrived on time and provided a very thorough estimate. They were my second choice.

They are just fantastic. They did a great job. Even people in our neighborhood said things looked fantastic. I did have a problem with one block. When I called them they came right out and had the problem taken care of very quickly. They came right on time, it was a fair price, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody.

I was very pleased with them. The man that gave me the estimate gave me references and told me where I could go to see other work they had done and he was very knowledgable. He gave me their warranty in writing. He gave me information on how the work would be done. They guarantee the work for five years. Instead of 4,000 lb per square inch of concrete they used 5,000. They went beyond what was needed. Their preparation work was better then I expected. They completely removed the old driveway and hauled it off , they were careful to not damage the yard. Even though it was a large driveway they were done in a day and a half. They made sure it was done right. They followed up numerous times and the driveway stills looks like its brand new.

We are very happy with them. They did a good job.

They did NOT do quality work!! Thre were about 5 guys, none of which spoke english. The foreman was not there very much. Maybe 1 or 2 of the guys did a fairly good job, while the others stood around and did nothing. The forman said they had to hire one of the guys becase they hired his brother and they lived together and only have one car. Who tells you that??? The edges were not smooth and they forgot an expansion joint (the area cracked a couple months later). They chipped the concrete of our garage and walkway, so where they meet was not straight and generally looked bad. The quality was generally not acceptable. They broke our sprinkler line (or water line) and tried to say it wasn't their fault. They said they would fit it. We assumed it was repaired correctly. Four months later when we had our sprinkler system repaired, we found out they did not fix it. They capped off the water line in the MIDDLE of our driveway, which is why that section did not work. The next day they had it scheduled to pour the concrete. The driveway was still wet (I wish we wouldn't have let them pour it). In the future, there could sinking where the puddles were.We since sold the house so we'll never know. Bad customer service and communication. It was obvious that they wanted to get the job done asap and didn't care about quality. Didn't call after job was done (wish we held back money), because of our experience during the job and their attitude. I know they would not do anything (even if something could be done at that point) if we complained any more.

They are a wonderful company to deal with. They were very professional and they came when they said they would come. They did a beautiful job. Their foreman came back and checked on the job. They were very thorough. I would absolutely use them again. They were the lowest price but that was not why I picked them. I got four estimates and I chose them based on what they were telling me and their whole attitude.

This company never called me back or returned my message.

From estimate to finish, everything was explained to me in detail and there were no hitches. I would definitely hire them again.

The workers from Hemma Concrete & Pavers Inc. Company did a sloppy work. They were supposed to burry the pipes but they left them sticking up on the grass. They came out to fix it but they are still sticking up. The driveway is just two weeks old but we are already seeing cracks in the seams. The workers seemed pleasant but the work didn’t get done the way we had wanted. Their price was fair. I would probably not consider using them in the future.

We did not realize that we have to put up a protective coating every year, so it had been a few years since we hadn’t and there had been some ware as a result of that. They came and fixed it with no charge, so they were really quite nice. It was stained concrete, so it was quite a job. They were very good and accommodating and they provided excellent customer service. Everything single thing that they touch was perfect. We would tell others that they are a company that can be trusted to do what they say they are going to and will get the job done they way we want it done.
