There was a small issue with communication between Jon and his crew but they were able to get it straight and the final result was to our satisfaction. I would use Jon and his crew again and I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They ran an extension of gutter to connect to the main gutter from a short piece that was causing an overflow issue. They used a black section so that it would match the roof and not stand out like a sore thumb. They added a gutter and downspout on a seperate building in our backyard to collect rain for a rain barrel. They sealed all seams.

 + -1 moreJon came for an estimate on Friday, the day after I called. He gave me a verbal quote, scheduled the work for the following Wednesday. The agreement was a handshake, the work was done as promised while I was at work, and the only trace that they had been there was the new gutters. There was no deposit or request to pay up front. As a matter of fact I have yet to receive a bill. I highly recommend Gutter Creations to anyone.

 + -1 moreI called Gutter Creations to give me an estimate for repairing or replacing a gutter which wasn't draining properly. I had it repaired the gutter repaired in the past but the same problem was happening again. For the first repair, I had several companies provide quotes. Some recommended replacing the downspout, using a larger gutter, replacing the wood behind the gutter, etc. Jon indicated that none of that was necessary, everything but the gutter itself seemed to be just fine. He recommended that I have the gutter replaced and gave me a quote that was less than the price of the previous REPAIR. We scheduled an appointment for later in the week! Two technicians from Gutter Creations arrived at the scheduled time and had the gutter replaced within an hour. It's working great and looks great, too! Very satisfied.

I got on Angie's Lilst and contact Gutter Creations. Owner Jon Tremain answered the phone. After explaing the situation to Jon, I knew I had made the right choice. Jon sent a team out to my property and then provided a quote over email. The price was very reasonable and I agreed that he should perform the work. Within a few days the work was completed and he emailed the invoice. He took a payment over the phone and voila! It was done! I really appreciated the timely response, professional attention and quality of work provided by Gutter Creations.  + -1 moreFinding a company like Gutter Creations and an owner like Jon Tremain is exactly why I use Angie's List. Once contacted, Jon came out within a few days to take a look at our gutter problems and give me the estimate. Jon was very professional, and most importantly, he tried to find the most economical solution to our problem. Jon's concern was not putting the most money possible in his pocket, but instead trying to help me with our gutter problem. Although we obtained three quotes from three different companies, Jon was the only one who walked the perimeter of the house with me and discussed each area of the roof and gutters. He first suggested measures that we could try prior to complete gutter replacement. However, after seeing the area causing the wood rot and hearing my concern that things be handled correctly this time (another gutter company had come out twice to fix this same problem a year before without any measureable results), Jon suggested complete gutter replacement and the use of seven inch gutters in the problem area. We learned that several of the gutter companies don't even have the ability to make seven inch gutters. The next week, in rainy 30 degree weather, Jon's workers came out and replaced our gutters. Our yard was left completely clean of all debris. We have had no water overshoot with recent rains and we believe our gutter problem has finally been fixed. I would not hesitate to recommend Jon and his company to anyone needing gutter work.
Description of Work: The original builder of our home had installed gutters that were too small which had resulted in water damage and mold inside the house around a window casing. Due to the layout of the roof, we had a larger expanse of roof draining onto a small expanse of gutter in that area. We also had other areas where water overshoot was ocurring and killing the grass. After evaluating the situation thoroughly, Jon recomended replacement of all of our five inch gutters with six and seven inch gutters (the seven inch gutters being used in the area where water overshoot had caused mold and rot around a window casing).

 + 0 moreOverall it went well. The owner came out and looked at the house. Not much upsell which was nice so I was able to focus on what we really wanted. The new siding is great and the gutters are great. The only thing is that I thought our old overhangs (which were falling apart in places) would be removed and replaced. Instead, new overhangs were just placed on top of old ones. So when you look at the house, it looks great, but I question the attic ventilation. The new overhangs are metal and have tons of tiny holes which makes it look like it gives great ventilation, but under those are technically solid wood with old vents that may or may not be ventilating properly. I spoke with the owner when I realized this is what the contractors were doing, but he said that this is standard and "that's how it's done". I guess if this is normal, than that's okay, but it just seems deceitful to the next owner of the home as they would think they have all this nice ventilation of the attic because of all the tiny holes in the overhangs, when in reality they have the same ventilation the house had when it had solid wood overhangs with vents placed intermittently throughout.
Description of Work: Existing gutters removed, new gutters installed, some siding replaced and new siding painted to match house, new overhangs installed, new downspouts.

Description of Work: The gutters in the back of the house needed replacement. They were replaced the gutters with 6 inch wide gutters and one down spout was added for redirection of the water flow. This was recomended by Jon Tremain the owner of the company during his survey of the on going problem I was having.

 + -1 moreAfter we made our product selection and color, the product was ordered. It took about a week to 10 days for it to arrive at Gutter Creations. On the day o f install, one man did all the work. Finished before end of day. He also repaired (at no charge) some flashing on the roof that had blown up in a previous rain storm. He was pleasant, although spoke very broken English. Site was clean as a whistle when he left.
Description of Work: We were looking to replace the screens on our gutters, which were in terrible condition. At first, we thought we would use a "gutter guard" product, but after speaking with the people at GUTTER CREATIONS, we found out we did not have to replace our gutters (as was the case with "gutter guard"); their product worked with our existing gutters. That was a savings of a thousand dollars or more right there! The gutter covers were matched to the color of our roof, which gave the house a beautiful, clean line when they were installed. All the downspouts were cleaned prior to installation, as were the gutters themselves. All trash was taken away from the site. This is the third time I have used Angie's List for contracting and I will look to Angie again in the future! GUTTER CREATIONS was a great selection!!! Another nice thing ... we enjoyed talking with the owner of the company. He did not insist on a deposit. He gave us about a week to settle in to our new gutter covers and then gave us a call to make sure everything went well. It was only then that he mentioned settling up on the bill. I was very impressed with his trust and professionalism in treating us with dignity. Kudos to GUTTER CREATIONS!

He came out the following day and provided me with a quote that was $300 less than my other quotes--- before the 10% discount. We scheduled a time for the work. They completed the installs on my house (2 story, 3800 sq ft) except for the covers and came back the following day to complete the install. Both days the yards were cleaned --- as if they had never been there. Some of my neighbors were extremely impressed as they watched the process!! I would highly recommend them.

 + 1 moreJohn, the owner, took my call after a storm had done some damage to my gutters, sliding, etc. He seemed very knowledgable and willing to help. He showed up the following day, provided a quote, and advised me his crew would be at my house on 06-15-11. After not seeing the crew all day on 06-15, I called John at 5pm to tell him the crew had not arrived. He said they worked from sun up, sun down and would arrive soon. The crew never showed on 06-15. I called John on 06-16 to see why they no showed. He acted surprised and said he thought they did the work. He said he would get to the bottom of it and call me right back. John never called me back all day and my subsequent calls to him that day went straight to voicemail. I finally got a hold of John the morning of 06-17. He again acted surprised and said that he thought some guy "Antonio" contacted me the previous day. He said he would call him and get to the bottom of it. I told him thanks but no thanks. This is a poor way of doing business. My guess is that he overbooked higher priced jobs and put me on the back burner.

 + 0 moreI took advantage of Angie's List Big Deal offer. I also got a 10 percent discount for Angie's List. I haven't gone up to the roof to look at the work. I am assuming that the work was done. It came with a lifetime warranty. I liked the estimator. He was very detailed. He spent a lot of time with me explaining things. They did the work very quickly. They cleaned up very well. They left me a blower which I am sure was an accident. I have to call and tell the guy that they left a blower. I think it was an accident. I don't think that was a gift. I liked that I got $250.00 off plus 10 percent as an Angie's List member. I liked the price. It just happened. I can't say that the gutters work, but they look good from what I can see. I don't know about the quality yet because we haven't had any rain. That will be the true test. They responded immediately. I would use them again in the future, but I hope I don't have to. I am not supposed to need them again.
Description of Work: Gutter Creations did gutter work yesterday. They checked and re-aligned all my existing gutters and spouts and made sure that the gutters were tilting in the right direction to go to the spouts. They resealed and installed royal brown aluminum clog free covers over my house. They also cleaned out the gutters while they were up there.

 + 0 moreIt has been an absolute nightmare and we are still not satisfied with the work provided by this business.
Description of Work: We spoke with John who came to our house and provided an estimate of $2600-2800 for siding replacement on the right side of our house. The work was suppose to have been completed before we returned from vacation the first week of April 2011. We returned home to find the materials laying on the driveway completely exposed to the elements and no work had been done on the house. My understanding from another handyman we had working on the deck, was that it had rained during the week and he noticed the siding uncovered in the driveway. John's crew showed up on Saturday morning to begin working (April 9th). When the job was competed initially we noticed several problems; siding appeared warped, visible nail holes, paint spray on the fence, pole bent on fence ( the fence was new, less than a week), and the old siding laid in the yard for days before it was cleaned up. John said he would send the crew back out, they showed up and covered nail holes with putty ( as a sealant) so moisture could not get in. A few pieces of siding were removed and replaced with new pieces. Later I returned home looked at the siding and saw to new circular holes (medium) stuffed with putty. I was so angry and disappointed having to call John yet again. We had another contractor doing some repair work inside the house, so I asked him to look at our siding. He shook his head and said he would never do such shotty work. He also told me the holes saw were from a hammer accident and the person just hoped we would not notice! He also said that the nail holes should not be visible on the siding because it would only allow moisture in causing it to buckle. It seemed that John was trying to avoid us because he would come by or say that he did when we were not home. Other than the initial estimate and one other occasion we have not met with John. He has sent us a bill and refuse to offer a discount due to all the problems we encountered. Our lives have been so inconvenience by the contractor and crew. This work should have been completed while we were on vacation the end of March but it was not until the end of April. We almost want him to take this siding down and just start over with a TRUE SIDING Company instead of this calamity crew we got! We are tired and disgusted but hopeful that Angie's List can help us resolve this matter.

 + -1 moreWe have a very large, three-level house, and the work was difficult. The cost was reasonable. The gutters look great and our lawn was so clean we couldn't tell they had been there. We are no longer having drainage problems. We are very happy with the work and the results!
Description of Work: Our gutters were 18-year-old galvanized steel, and they were rusting through in many places. Gutter Creations removed all our existing gutters and replaced all gutters and downspouts with larger, seamless aluminum gutters and mesh covers.
