Did everything they said they were going to do. Did everything on time, price varied a little but service was everything we expected and more.

We needed a permanent downspout installed over a stretch of roofing and a span of gutter replaced because it wasnt sufficiently collecting the amount of rain it was getting. We purchased a deal from AL for the downspout and they gave us the larger stretch of gutter included in the price (since it was for a certain number of feet). Good price, fast service. Would use again.

Jon Tremain, the owner and spokesperson I guess, came out to give an estimate on replacing my gutters. He was very professional and knowledgeable in his "presentation". He did some calculations and gave me an estimate, and we agreed upon a date for the install. I was very hopeful to finally get this project taken care of properly. Jon seemed like the professional guy I was looking for! Well, this morning the installers arrived and knocked on the door to notify me of their presence and got to work. I noticed that they were not quite able to communicate with me clearly in English but I was hopeful that that would not present a problem at any point. They took down the old dirty gutters, and as I was next expecting to hear pressure washers cleaning the dirty fascia boards before going up with new gutters, I instead saw the first run of new gutters go up. I immediately spoke up and said, "Hold on a minute!" They had no idea what I was saying or talking about. I tried to explain that Jon, in our initial conversation, gave me the indication that there would be pressure washing before the new gutter install. I initially mentioned to Jon the idea of wiping down the dirty fascia before the new gutters went up and he specifically said "pressure washing", indicating to me that it's his recommendation and procedure! So I called up Jon to discuss the issue and he said to ask the guys if it's OK to wipe down the fascia, that he doesn't recall the mention of pressure washing. He seemed to see no need to discuss the issue with what I thought were "his workers". They seemed to be third party employees. So I scramble up the ladder to start wiping down the fascia when the guys take over the wipe down and then continued putting up the gutters. It was a so-so wipe down and a less-than-quality job. A field supervisor of sorts did come by at a later point who did speak clearer English, but by then it was a bungled job, in my opinion. Bottom line is to make sure that the installers have some degree of communication and accountability with their boss or spokesperson, that they supposedly work for. And do not let anyone on your property that cannot clearly communicate with you, and vice versa. Also make sure that every imaginable detail of your project is clearly spelled out in black and white. I LEARNED THE HARD WAY! By the way, the Better Business Bureau has an unresolved complaint against Mr. Tremain.

Jon arrived on time for free estimate, offered Angie's List discount. He would not know the extent of damaged fascia boards to be replaced but used $400 as an estimate (turned out to be closer to $500 so estimate was good). Crew arrived on time and completed the work satisfactorily. Yard was left clean. Very satisfied with performance and highly recommend.

Jon Tremain is great to work with- He's concise and professional. We are both busy with work and I contacted Jon via email after we finally closed on our house (which was 2+ months after his quote). He emailed us with a date but I didn't see the email until that morning and emailed him back. His crew was here an hour later! They got right to work and it was evident they were very skilled in their work. Pleasant to work with as well. They cleaned up completely afterwards. We are very pleased with his service and would highly recommend him to anyone needing gutter work. Also, the gutters are extruded to length on site, so no seams! Job looks great-

Jon Tremain gave an estimate and explained the process of removing and replacing a deck. He explained the product he would be using and the time frame. Then his forman, Milton, came out to do the final measuring. On Friday 3/4/16 the workcrew arrived. The men started at 8am and did not stop until after 6pm. I have not seen workmen as professional, precise, organized, neat and thorough as these men. They were punctual and wasted no time. Plus, they were very respectful of my property and neighbors. They have just finished this afternoon 3/8/16 and the deck is perfect! Excellent, Excellent work!!! Many thanks, Jon for making this a stressfree experience from beginning to end!!! I think I will need to put you on speed dial for future repairs!

He then they asked me what colors I would like. I emailed the guy who came out, and asked from his earliest availability. The next month, he came out, out and put the workers up the new gutters. It really upset me, the way the did business with me. I almost felt like I was manipulated or bullied into getting the gutters. I hadn't signed a contact or anything, but he came out and did the work without my consent. I asked them could they come and take the gutters off, and he said "No I will not take the gutters off." I did go ahead and pay for it, because I didn't want to take them to court. I was really shocked at how he operated.

Gutter Creations was not everything I hoped for. I bought the Angies List deal - 200' of new gutters for $899. I got an immediate response that was very professional. Jon, a Gutter Creations representative, came out to my house on a Saturday afternoon at my request and gave me a free estimate. I was told that new gutters would be installed around three sides of my home (East, Front, West), around the porch, and the existing gutters in the rear were to be re-used and properly re-attached to the house. I was told that we needed 212' of gutters (200' would be covered by the deal) and that the total cost (including the $899 deal) would be $989. I agreed to this plan and we agreed on a date. Nothing was written down. No proposal. No signature. I work in the industry - for an architecture firm in town, we design high end custom homes - so this was a bit of a red flag, not a huge red flag - proceeding with work without a signed proposal while not extremely common, is also not unheard of. The installers arrived promptly and finished their work quickly and it seemed to match the agreement with the exception that the gutters in the rear were still full of debris and had not been re-attached to the house. My assumption was that "re-use and re-attach the existing gutters" included doing what is necessary to make them function properly (i.g. cleaning) and re-attaching them to the structure. I made a phone call to Gutter Creations, explained the discrepancy between execution and expectation, and they had a crew out the next day to correct the issue. They reattached one of the gutters, but the other seemed to have been left untouched. The side of my house and rear deck were left spattered with what can best be described as gutter scum. This was red-flag number 2. Sub-contractors are always expected to clean up after themselves. I didn't say anything because the exterior of the house is still a bit rough and it felt like complaining just to complain, but it did make me more wary of the quality I was dealing with. This is where things begin to go a bit off the rails: One day last week I was getting into my car to go to work, and because it was parked a little further down the street than usual, I noticed that the gutter that was supposed to run continuously across the front of the house - to keep water from inundating the roof of the porch (this was discussed specifically during the estimate) - did not run continuously, but stopped a few feet past the leading edge of the porch roof below. This struck me as odd - I have never seen gutters done this way and certainly never drawn them that way. Because of this and the other small but forgivable incidents, I decided to check that the deal I paid for was the deal I got. I checked in two ways: 1) I opened the survey we had prepared when we bought the house in AutoCAD (architectural drafting software) offset the footprint of the building 18" (12" eave depth + 6" gutter width - wanted to make sure I measured to the outside perimeter of the gutter as installed to give gutter creations the benefit of the doubt) I arrived at 170' of gutters and downspouts. 2) I know that surveys can sometimes be inaccurate and built conditions don't always match drawn conditions, so in order to further eliminate doubt I measure they gutters myself - always rounding up to the nearest foot. I was happy to call it even if they were within 10% - 180 feet. I came up with 174 feet. A bit short of the 200' I had already paid for through Angies List and FAR short of the 212' we agreed to. I get an invoice sometime later (which I was a bit negligent on paying - my fault entirely) for the $89 difference. Jon calls asking about payment and I ask him to justify the extra charge. He claims that 212' of gutter and downspout were installed. I explain that I disagree and tell him that I will pay if someone comes out and proves to me that there are 212' of new gutters on my house. After a bit of a heated exchange we agree to call it even and part ways. I know that the construction industry is full of people who simply don't pay their bills as it is often easier and less costly to just walk away - even for large sums. I assure you, I am not one of those people having been a victim of it myself. I absolutely believe in paying fairly for work completed, but Gutter Creations did not deliver.

The job went smooth and fast. Old gutters remove, removed the rotting fascia boards and replaced them with new ones. Installed 6" gutters. Removed and replaced rotting trim around the chimney.

Amazing service! I am recommending this company to everyone I've ever met... whether they need a roof or not. The work was done in ONE day by 7 very competent and friendly men who worked tirelessly, cleaned up after themselves and put up with my insane dogs through the whole process. The roof is gorgeous. Jon coordinated the work through a few days of bad weather and some permitting issues and kept me in the loop the whole way. He worked out the extra cost (which was minimal) for some wood that needed replaced and this was easily the best experience I've ever had with home repair.

Excellent experience. They were the only one of 3 companies that returned my call. They were responsive, great price and did a great job. Kept us updated along the way. We were on a time crunch and they were able to accommodate our needs. Efficient, great job, great clean up. Can not recommend enough.

Responded to email from service provider and called to confirm project. Later I got a call from service project that he was going to look at the property. I'm an out of state home owner and the house in tenant occupied. I called the service provider to see if project was completed after two weeks of not hearing from them and I was told yes. I called the tenant and he confirmed and send me picture and said they did a good job which they did. It would of been better if the service provider let me knew the project was completed themselves and send me the pictures.

Jon is very professional and takes care of his customers. I recommend using him for your jobs.

I emailed, he emailed, I telephoned, he maintained his excessive "minimum", suggested I find "a handyman" somewhere to do the job, I inquired if they were interested in doing the job whenever they were already working in the neighborhood, No, I emailed my thanks. SO THEY ARE NOT IN BUSINESS TO DO BUSINESS, THEY ARE IN BUSINESS TO PERFORM LARGE JOBS ONLY AND THEIR AD-SPACE IN ANGIE'S LIST SHOULD REFLECT THIS: LARGE JOBS ONLY.

Upon completion I went to inspect the projects. One of the gutters on the back of the house sloped the wrong way, away from the downspout rendering it useless. A corner installation on the front of the house was very poorly done with shoddy cuts, unmatched seams and screws awkwardly holding it together. I climbed on a ladder and discovered two of the gutters had hangers that had never been screwed in to the house. The re-sided chimney was left unsealed to the fascia and soffit with a large gap between them. The cable that had been removed from the house for the installation had not been put back. This work did not look professional. Corrections were unsatisfactorily attempted on some of the complaints after a phone call to the owner of the company. I then asked the owner to meet me at the house so that I could point out the remaining problems. He was very agreeable to my complaints and had the worker come back and complete the corrections. This time everything seems to have been completed satisfactorily.

Jon's team was great - new gutters work perfectly. He didn't try to oversell me like many other quotes. Did a great job on the necessary repairs. We will definitely use Gutter Creations if needed in the future!

It was okay. The owner needed to look at the job carefully. The workers were fine but the owner wasn't.

The crew showed up right on time an did a perfect job of replacing ancient gutters and downspouts on a small cottage-style house. The new gutters add an amazing amount of curb appeal to the house.
