Description of Work: I had a 2 hour consultation with Mary Jo. She is, indeed, an expert. I got great ideas from the consult and am working to put them in place. I am planning to hire her to help with my kitchen makeover.

Description of Work: Mary Jo was great! She spent 2 hours at our house to give us design and color suggestions in our kitchen specifically, and parts of the rest of our home. She was very good at working to solve differences between my husband and I on design preferences. I will definitely work with her again!!

Description of Work: We had an initial consultation to design/decorate our master bedroom. We were very impressed with her thoughts and have hired her to do the job.

Description of Work: Mary Jo was great. She helped me with space planning in a long narrow family room that had just been opened up to the kitchen in a remodel. I had a lot of questions about furniture layout, colors for adjoing rooms and a spousal debate over where to put the TV that she resolved as soon as she walked in! Would work with her again.

Description of Work: She came to my house and brought up pictures of lighting fixtures which she ran through very quickly. I didn't see anything I was ready to buy so she gave me names of companies she represented so that I could look up fixtures on my own. A few days later her assistant called to ask if I had found anything and to review how much it would cost to work with her. I had already paid $125 and did not feel I'd learned anything and was no more ready to buy than I had been before she came. Maybe we didn't click but I went to a local shop, worked with a sales rep there and found just what I wanted at a reasonable price.

Description of Work: Positives: 1. Friendly and easy to talk to 2. Called and set up appointment in a timely manner 3. Knowledgeable in her craft Negatives: 1. Had no color chart for a color consultation. ( 2. Answered cell phone several times and I was reminded of an appointment time after mine.

Description of Work: Mary Jo and her assistant Amanda came to the house and gave me advice about decorating the house, curtains, placing of the furniture. They came because of the $99. deal advertised on Angies' list. We went through the entire house and Mary Jo explained how I could utilize the space better. Also how a different furniture arrangement would look better.

Description of Work: Kitchen remodel: Granite countertops, floor tiles, backsplash, plumbing, ceiling and undermount lighting, painting, hardware and hinge replacement.

Description of Work: (1) Windows (2) Inside shutters (3) Rug for new hardwood floor (1) I was so pleased with work done by Cooper's Creations (given in previous reports) that I asked them to do something about my windows and storms. By this time I trusted the decorator so much that I left up to her what I should do. She had my windows and storms (at my request) replaced with sashes. She checked prices and got good windows, and even matched the paint color of my trim. (2) I had basic, simple window treatments and did not want drapes or venetian blinds. After asking my likes and dislikes, Mary Jo Cooper came up with plantation shutters. I kept thinking, "I hope I'm going to like this, but everything else she touched turned out good, so I will trust her." She came up with inside plantation shutters on the front of the house, and they are wonderful. Again she matched paint, and I was so pleased that I did not lose the window trim. I can open and close top and bottom shutters separately, or I can open the shutters all the way. My neighbors have commented on how nice the house looks from the outside. (3) The rug Cooper's Creations had put down hardwood floors in kitchen, hall, and den. I needed a rug in the den and had looked at rugs. Some were beautiful but would not go, or I would tire of them quickly. I dumped the problem on Mary Jo telling her to get a rug that would go in the room. She found the perfect design that is simple for the room that is tricky for decorating. She found a rug of excellent quality, but marked way down because it was the end of a roll. Then she got a pad that won't slide, won't discolor the wood floor, is solid without being thick, and - best of all - was again at the cost of a cheaper one. Last, she laid it so perfectly that I told her I would not move it a 1/2 inch in any direction. I can't imagine any other rug that would any better.

Description of Work: Home Theater in basement, completed all basement areas bath, wet bar, media room.

Description of Work: Cooper's Creations chose, painted and installed chair railing and crown molding in a bedroom, and it made a big difference. Rodney regrouted tub tile in one bath and calked a tub in another bath. A closet rod collapsed and Rodney reinstalled so it will never fall again. I'll have him do other closet rods before they collapse. I had a little to do list, and all tasks were done well, and I'm compiling another list.

Description of Work: 1. Designed, and renovated and completed work in two bathrooms. Mary Jo worked with me because I did not want to take out the tile and cabinets in the small Master Bath that was in good condition but in an out-dated color, nor did I want too much demolition going on. She transformed the bath into a vintage theme with new shower doors, granite counter, cabinet painted, wallpaper, faucets and mirrored cabinet. I was so pleased with this that I will have her update the bedroom next to it. The other larger bath also had tile that I wanted to keep but was the wrong color and I did not want to replace the cabinets. This was transformed into an ocean/beach theme using complementary colors. I never saw what I would call a beautiful toilet until mine was installed, and at a surprisingly low cost. Also installed was a granite counter with two sinks, matching faucets and light fixtures, a large framed mirror, and details such as cabinet knobs, painted the walls and ceiling. 2. Hardwood floors laid in Kitchen, eating area, TV room and entrance hall. For 5 years I couldn't make up my mind what to get for flooring, Mary Jo made the choice easy. The oak floors were laid with much skill, and with the eyes of an artist. They are truly beautiful, and make a huge difference in the rooms they are in.

Description of Work: They Remodeled and Designed our upstairs Bathroom. Demoed, picked out all surfaces, paints, plasters, reinstalled everything. It looks great we are once again very pleased with Coopers Creations services.

Listed are the services they provided for us. 1. A Home Theater and two ancillary rooms of audio. 2. Two Bedrooms 3. A Bathroom 4. A Kitchen. A Recreation Room. Mary Jo handled all of the Interior Design, Interior Decorating, Fax Finishes, and Plaster Finishes for all of the surface areas. She is very talented and knowledgeable in her fields of expertise. She is also very good at picking out colors and custom matching paints and glazes to fit the surrounding décor. Rodney has extensive knowledge in the home entertainment industry and has a master craftsman’s touch to everything he does. Rodney and Mary Jo were a pleasure to work with through all aspects of the project, They provided us with drawings and all materials chosen for the different areas. They were on time and finished the task on budget. All of their workers were polite and one of the Cooper’s were always on the job site at all times to supervise and work as well. They are consciences of the fact that we were living in our home at the time of the project. They are neat and clean throughout all phases of the project. The basement is spectacular and a true source of pride and enjoyment in our home. We will hire Cooper’s Creations in the future for any projects we need done including handyman services. 1.
