They completely met our needs, which weren't much at the time, and they did not try to upsell us to add'l services. We will call them to ask for help with our new house, which will require much more extensive services, and I anticipate that Cooper will treat us the same as before. We've interview many interior designers. Some were lacking creativity and meeting our needs, and others were almost condescending. I'm sure, from experience, that this company is creative to meeting their customers' needs, and they will speak to their client's level of knowledge.

Mary Jo arrived for our appointment on time loaded down with catalogs and fabric & leather samples. I wasn't sure what we'd talk about for the full two hours, but it came and went very quickly. She was incredibly helpful with our space planning, measuring everything in the room we're planning on keeping and letting me know what size couches would work in what placement. We found rugs that I liked, but she didn't happen to carry those particular samples - she got right on the phone and ordered the three samples so that I could see them at a second appointment. My job after she left was to peruse the services area of her website to look at the wholesalers she works with (Bernhardt, Century, Drexel Heritage, etc.) to find the couches we like and potentially a new kitchen table. Mary Jo returned three weeks later with the requested carpet samples and to discuss a little bit further about the couches and table. We've picked a couch and are just waiting to confirm that the color of leather will complement a chair we already have - the best part about this whole thing has been that using Mary Jo, we're going to be able to get two high quality, well made leather couches for what we would have paid for one couch going through a retail store. I will return to her again and again whenever we need new furniture or rugs.We're also waiting for a couple of more rug samples before we finalize our decision, but again, it's going to be a significant savings over the wool area rugs I usually purchase retail.

My job was finished ahead of schedule . I contracted with Mary Jo upon meeting with her on the initial consultation . I had a ball picking everything out . I expected to have my new drapes right after the first of the year but Mary Jo gave me an unexpected early Christmas gift and installed my drapes on CHRISTMAS EVE !!!!!!!!!!!! Her and her husband spent close to 7 hours finishing the job. They are very picky and precise with everything they do - they clean up as they go .......! I would highly recommend them . Having just purchased our 1970s home, my husband and I were seeking some design advice on furniture layout and paint color choice for both the interior and exterior of the home. While I had already spent a good deal of time thinking through my preferences, we decided to purchase the Big Deal coupon with Cooper's Creations in order to have a professional designer also look at our home and provide us with some feedback and advice. Mary Jo Cooper brought a good deal of resources to our in-home appointment and listened patiently as we walked through our plans for the entire house. She offered good suggestions for future layout in our den and living room, as well as helped us choose paint colors for the exterior and interior of the home. She also recommended a few companies to look at for lighting fixtures and suggested specific dealers with whom she has a working relationship. Mary Jo explained her typical fee structure for design work and offered us a variety of future services with no pressure or obligation. While we have not enlisted her to deign a specific room for us, this is due to budgetary constraints, as opposed to a dissatisfaction with her services. We found her to be easy to work with, willing to listen to our needs, and able to offer a variety of design resources.

Mary Jo arrived promptly for our appointment. My request was for paint colors for rooms. I was very satisfied with the results of the colors Mary Jo suggested. I was pleased with my initial two hour consultation and will be using Mary Jo/Coopers Creations again.

I purchased an Angie's list deal last year for $99 but did not use it in time before it expired. I called Angie's List to check out my options. They told me they would refund the amount or I could call Cooper's Creations to see if they would honor it. I called and got Mary, I wasn't sure I dialed correctly since the woman answering didn't identify herself as Cooper's Creations. I told her my story and she said that tshe would still honor it. She asked where I lived and indicated that there would be an additional $25 trip charge since I lived in Dekalb County inside the perimeter (outside of Fulton County). I told her that I'd probably just take the offer from Angie's List to refund the charges. She indicated that if I was willing to spend some dollars beyond the deal she'd be happy to waive the trip charge. I explained my situation and indicated that I likely would be spending additional dollars with her. So we're still coordinating the exact visit date but I am satisfied with this outcome.

Session went well. 2 hours was set aside, but I ran out of questions (and notebook space) after about 1hr 15 mins. Vendor was happy to answer questions going forward, as I decide on materials for countertops and need specific advice on paint color options based on those countertop selections. Vendor also does renovation work, and offered to be available if I wanted to request a price estimate, but kept her advice generic to any material vendor I chose to go with. Very personable and easy to talk to. Was very willing to listing and craft her advice based on my budget and needs.

The special was for a two hour consultation. When we set up a date and time for the consultation, Mary Jo asked me to complete a short questionnaire to give her a more concise understanding of my needs. She arrived on time, was very prepared, and was most professional and helpful. Our meeting continued until we had completed all my questions and concerns. This took longer than the prescribed two hour time limit but this did not matter to her. Mary Jo was aware of the potential cost of this project and continually gave me tips and suggestions to keep each facet on budget. She pointed out where to spend more to get more. I would recommend her to anyone and will call her again whenever the need arises in the future.

Experience was good overall. Mary Jo and Rodney do great work and they're also very nice. There were a few hiccups with scheduling and delays but Mary Jo was helpful and professional through it all. She was also quick to address any quality issues. The kitchen back splash looks great and I love the new wall color. The TV over the mantle is also very nice.

Mary Jo came to survey the job, made helpful suggestions and returned several days later with sample boards for us to preview. She gave us a detailed estimate and completed the work as promised.

Mary Jo helpful us enormously, going from room to room, tweaking our color choices and pulling them all together to creat a unified look. It was a hectic but pleasant two hours..

I originally purchased a Mary Jo?s Angie?s List Interior Design and Decorating Deal for a design consultation. I was very impressed with her knowledge and willingness to help me coordinate, in my new home, placement of the multiple vintage/antique furniture pieces that I own as well as those received from my parents; essentially two separate households of furniture from different time periods. My desire was to create an eclectic look combing modern and vintage elements. With Mary Jo?s thoughtful help, I was able to select fabrics, paint colors and some new pieces to create a completely new look. My new home and furniture items look refreshed and are a reflection of my unique style. Mary Jo?s husband Rodney hung my new draperies and some artwork and fabricated a new built in book case for my kitchen to hold my cook books. I am very happy to have found a designer who would work with me and what I already have to achieve a great look for my home with design ideas consistent with my taste. I am extremely pleased with how the main level of my home looks and am looking forward to Mary Jo?s helping me create looks for my guest bedrooms, again using the vintage pieces I already own and adding to them.

Mary Jo was patient as my schedule caused significant delay in our meeting. Some of the Deals do not seem to be worth it when it comes to initial consulting, but this one does. She was very thoughtful and took the time to make sure that I received the full benefit of our initial consultation. As we begin to make decisions on specific areas in our house, we will definitely be looking her up again!

I invited Mary Jo Cooper of Coopers Creations to help me with advice on decorating a new home. Specifically, window treatments, lighting, and picture hanging. Mary Jo arrived promptly, for our 2 hour scheduled time. I needed professional advice on what length curtain/drapes to hang and proper way to install around window frames. In addition, we discussed lighting and looked through catalogs for ideas for the kitchen and dining rooms. Although, our time together totaled 1 of the 2 hours scheduled, all of Mary Jo's suggestions were helpful to me in making decorating decisions. I am looking forward to working with Coopers Creations in the future.

I heard from Mary Jo promptly after I purchased the deal. I called her when I was able to arrange a time to schedule our consultation. Mary Jo was very organized. She provided infomration that helped me to identify my goals for the consultation and inform me of the different services that she could provide. On the day of our appointment, her assistant called to let me know that they would be late. Apparently her prior appointment ran over and there was not enough travel time allowed to my house. While I was glad that she let me know, I felt like the over-scheduling took away from my time with her. My goal was to get some suggestions for remodeling my home including paint colors and flooring suggestions. Mary Jo provided a lot of useful advice. After the meeting, Mary Jo was to provide a quote for engineered hardwood floors for the bedrooms of my home. I received these on 9/8. While she let me know that it would take some time to get this estimate, I thought that 5 weeks was excessive for a materials only estimate when I selected the flooring on the day of the consultation. I haven't made the appointment to have the installer come to do the labor estimate due to my schedule restrictions. I would recommend Mary Jo and Cooper Creations for a full scale interior design work. She obviously has a lot of experience and excellant taste. I think that a design consultation is a good idea if you have reasonable expectations and are not in a hurry.

If you want to get her coupon, I recommend calling ahead and making sure she can come when you're available. We had to schedule in the middle of the day since our house wasn't close to her. It was still great to have her come to our house.

Mary Jo was very responsive when I called her to set up an appointment. She sent me information about working with a designer and asked me to come up with a list of things I wanted to cover during the consultation. When she came to my home, we spent a lot of time talking about how she works, and what she would do if I hired her to redo my room. She did consult with me about the things I wanted to ask her about, but we probably spent an equal amount of time talking about my taste preferences, and how things would work if I hired her as a designer. I actually liked her very much, and she seemed very talented and good at what she does. I have no doubt that she would do a great job. My budget seemed to be small for what needed to be done. Mary Jo was going to look at the furniture lines she handles and see what she could do, given my budget. But she never called me back, which was actually ok with me, since I had some reservations. So, I got the two hours I paid for. She was professional and seemed talented. If you have a budget that matches up with what she does, I'm sure she would do a great job for you.

Mary Jo was great , helped me pick out colors which complimented my current furniture and accessories as well as talked me thru some ways of making my home look and feel the way I wanted (versus talking me into her way) . It was a great experience and my new home looks great as a result !

Over the last few years, Mary Jo Cooper gave me superb decorating advice, and Rodney Cooper did all the excellent work. Rodney laid a beautiful hardwood floor in the kitchen, family room and hall. His handyman work was always knowledgeable and professional, whether the work was carpentry, electric, plumbing, etc. He was prompt, efficient, cheerful, and answered all my questions. He always cleaned up after himself in whatever work he did. The most recent work was to replace some fans and light fixtures in preparation for listing the house.Whenever I wanted an improvement in the house, I called Mary Jo. When I needed new windows, she chose nice quality windows and a good installer, and they are one of the improvements that appealed to the buyers. When I wanted two bathrooms redecorated, I asked Mary Jo to do it without removing the tile that was in good condition. She magically redecorated both baths, saving money without sacrificing appearance. She further saved me both time and money by shopping for good merchandise at discounted prices, or buying direct. Her final project was to stage my house for listing it for sale. When she staged, she did it at little cost by removing pictures and furniture, and showing off the best pieces. She had a very good, but reasonable painter, paint most of the interior, choosing just the right color. She had Rodney replace minor things like fans and lights, but that was at reasonable costs and made a big difference in appearances. Again, Mary Jo saved me time by doing the shopping for me, always choosing what I liked at a reasonable cost. She is very professional, fair, and just a great decorator (who also has a nice sense of humor). I liked. Mary Jo does a wonderful job at learning her clients tastes and successfully decorating their space to their liking. Right now we live in an apartment but it is temporary, we want to find a house in a couple years. I discussed this with Mary Jo and she was able to come up with simple window panels that will transfer well into a house. Our apartment did not come with a lot of storage space, but Rodney was able to tastefully incorporate shelving and extra storage cabinets into our place. He also set up all of our home theater equipment, he did a very clean job and also programmed a universal remote for us. Very generous and personal people! We plan on using them again when we find a house.

Mary Jo is extremely knowledgable, not only with design ideas but the build-out process as well. She arrived at my house with a box exploding with color choices. I needed help with a basement renovation and showed her the picture of the room I found online. She immediately jumped in with ideas. She told me what things would not work in my basement and then helped me find ways to get the same basic idea for my basement. She is completely honest and lays it all out which is exactly what I needed. I do intend to consult with her again in the future on my kitchen renovation.
