Casteel Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical

I first dealt with a Casteel rep who inspected the existing system and gave me a report on its condition. It was substantially the same as the report by another vendor. I agreed that the system needed replacement, and we went over the options for which he gave me quotes. I chose an option and scheduled the work to be done. The installation (which is in the crawl space of my house with an outside compressor unit) was performed by two technicians and took about 8-10 hours. The technicians arrived on time and worked almost continuously until the job was completed. They were polite, knowledgeable and professional. They answered all of my questions and gave me instructions on how to operate the new system. They removed every scrap of debris including the old hardware and all of the packaging from the new system. I am delighted with the new system (manufactured by Trane) and was pleased with all of the people I dealt with from the person who answered the phone to the installers. Casteel may not be the least expensive HVAC supplier in the area, but their price was within reason, the product is first rate and the service was outstanding. Aside from the pain of parting with $5000 it was a pleasant experience from start to finish.

I needed new HVAC equipment, so I when with the company (Casteel) rated the highest on the Internet (another site, without controls). They also advertised on billboards about their great reviews. I believe they wrote most of those reviews themselves The good news is that they installed good equipment that worked as advised. But they also falsified the final inspection report (by a person who never visited the house, using pictures from before the installation), failed to get a county inspection, ruined a ceiling and a wall, and stopped taking my calls, inexplicably. I have to assume that the failure to get a county inspection means: 1) They failed to do something they should have; or 2) They did not do something they should haven?t; or 3) They did not care enough about the regulations to bother. Perhaps I will never know the real reason. The first time I heard from them was for the semi-annual check up six months later. Not a chance will they ever step foot in my house again.

The tech arrived on time, checked the furnace and changed out the filter.He was very polite and answered all my questions. I would refer all my friends to them as I have always been completely satisfied with their service. They even email me when I need to have the hvac preventive maintenance done.

I request tech Nathan for all of my heating and air conditioning inspections. It is gratifying to know that Casteel honors this request for each service. That brings me great peace of mind that the tech knows the system. From the moment that Nathan greets me at the door, applies his "footies", and checks out all components in the heating or air system, I feel confident in his skills to complete a thorough check of the system.

Showed up on time and diagnosed problem quickly. Replaced part and had my air conditioning running with in an hour. Would definitely use again.

Went very well. The only negative is the continuous attempts to upsell.

The day of my appointment I had an 8-9am window for arrival of the technician. At 9am I called the office and was told he was in a meeting on Friday mornings but someone had pulled him out and would send him to my house. The fact that they scheduled a technician to arrive at my house when he was also scheduled to be in a company meeting was very disrespectful of my time and unprofessional. I was then informed that Casteel had actually just acquired the ElectraMedics phone number but had no affiliation with their business. I cancelled my appointment immediately at that point because it seemed very dishonest to be told on the phone when I scheduled that it was Electramedics and then to be told later that there was no affiliation. This company also only has reviews for heating, cooling & plumbing so I am not sure if they have any qualifications to do electrical work.

Tech was on time, stayed for a couple of hours...I felt he took his time to do the job right. Tech explained all that he did and the recommendations on items of concern. He took time to answer all of my questions. I felt very comfortable with the tech and I appreciated his wonderful attitude and the job he did.

It went fine. Worker was professional and courteous. The job appears to have been done properly. The same company put an hvac system in for us a few years ago and they do yearly maintenance on it. I like them and their work fine, but their prices are high. They say they're industry standard, and that may be true, but I think they're high. The following applies to any company, not just this one. Any time your having work done, and particularly with bigger jobs, monitor the job and make sure that what the marketing person said is what's on the work order and make sure that's what gets done. On the hvac job, there was some confusion about what was on the work order that we had to sort out. They fixed that and everything was fine. Yearly hvac maintenance for 2 visits runs about $ 168, filter replacement for whole house filter about $ 54, and yearly replacement of 2 uv lights was $ 165 last time, and I think that was a special discount. I asked the rep the price to replace a simple bathroom faucet. He said about $ 400 to replace it and about $ 170 to rebuild it. I declined. Anyway, other than the pricing, I like the company.

The entire process, from the initial free estimate with the System Design Manager Mr. Pittman to the installers - Joe, Josh, Mike -- I hope I got everyone) everything was handled well. The overall customer service was amazing. I'm glad I chose Casteel to replace my HVAC system.

I got quotes from 5 different dealers. One was a terrible experience, the other four were delightful. Casteel was very east to deal with. They called to setup a time, called to confirm. The salesman was running behind due to traffic and called to let me know. Quoting process was easy as he explained every step. He then emailed me the quote. I made a few quick changes and he emailed me the new quote. We have 2 systems in the house and while we were only replacing one, they covered both with maintenance for the first year. The install was butter smooth. The techs showed up right on time and got right to work. Everything they said would happen, did. They quickly got the new system up and running with minimal interruption to the household. My wife was recovering from surgery and sleeping on the living room sofa and they did not disturb her at all. The new system works great and I could not be happier with Casteel!

Call to let me know they were on the way and was able to start earlier. They sent 2 teams to install the 2 systems. Both teams were very polite and professional.

Called in the morning when we discovered our old water heater had leaked, and the company had a service technician there within 2 hours. Curtis was very professional and knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the work. We had previously employed Casteel for heating and AC issues and were very satisfied, so it was an easy decision to use their plumbing services as well.

Casteel called about 45 prior minutes to the appointment to alert me that the tech was on the way. Tim was very knowledgeable and professional as he serviced our A/C unit. He sold us a service contract so that we could have the furnace inspected in the fall. We had just moved into our home and a neighbor recommended Casteel. After the excellent way we were treated I wouldn't hesitate to refer your company to anyone. (The $255 included the service contract.)

Fine. Representative spent time explaining what was going on with the HVAC systems and the pros/cons of new systems (ours our @ 15 years old). Informative, while not being too pushy. Units appear to be working just fine. The only minus would be that the office called me to inform me someone was on the way (30-45 minutes out) and it was close to 90 minutes later when they arrived. They could have told me that.

Service was not provided the day we had scheduled it, because we had roofers also working on the house. The Casteel technician was concerned that some of the degree being thrown down from the roof would cause a hazard for he and his fellow co-worker, so we rescheduled. We chose the "middle" of three possible AC units for our AC system. The gentlemen at Casteel mistakenly brought one better than that which we chose, yet they agreed to charge us for the unit we originally chose (a lower price). Installation went well, and everything has been working fine since.

They're pretty popular here in Atlanta. They make time for their regular customers. When you stick to a company, you expect certain perks. You don't have to wait because you're an existing customer. They're good people.

It was great! Writing big checks made my butt slam shut but it was absolutely necessary to get it all done and having real professionals take care of it was a breeze.

I liked the way the installers installed the product. I liked the salesman, the installer, the follow-up, and their service department which is very good. I would highly recommend them. I would definitely utilize them and recommend them to others, especially in my area.

They are excellent. The reason why I purchased their service was because they were very thorough in their proposal. They pretty much did what I requested them. I doesn't sound so stellar but when you compare them to most people it's just ironic. Many people don't do what they should do. Their sales person was very thorough. He really did the best job of assessing the problem and coming up with the recommendation that was consistent with that. They were also very competitive.

We just bought a new home, and needed a complete HVAC system overview and inspection. The technician was very knowledgeable, and explained all the positives and negatives of our system. It ended up that we needed a new heat pump for our upper level. They installed the unit that week, and everything went smooth. They made sure to give us a 'good, better, best' quote and didn't pressure us or try to 'up sell' on accessories.
