AC unit not working at my house. Called to make an appointment. Today is June 26th, earliest appointment they could give me was July 6th. Unacceptable, that certainly doesn't feel like "amazing care".

They showed up within 2 hours of my call. They had to go back to their office to get a part, but were able to get everything fixed the same day. They can be a little pricey, but they're worth it. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

We had to replace our air conditioner and Furnace system. From the start, Lamar (salesman) from Casteel offered a fair price for the big job ( we had 5 estimates). We had a 5 ton, 2 stage single unit from Trane installed XR17 A/C and the XC80 Furnace. We also had them instalI a dual zone system for the main floor and basement. I loved the fact that all the parts were going to be replaced. For example, the copper line set, the electrical box and condenser pad and location. When I asked if they could move the unit in the basement to a different spot, Lamar's response was "no problem". He even said they would not charge for it. The installation was scheduled on the day we wanted and went very smoothly. The technicians were great guys. Michael Frey and Jason were the the leads and did a great job and were extremely knowledgeable. All in all, this was a wonderful experience for something that is normally a painful evolution. We have a 10 year warranty with parts and labor. We definitely plan on staying with Casteel for a all our future HVAC needs.

The day after we called Casteel, Chris, their System Design Manager came to give us an estimate. He arrived punctually (with booties) and spent two hours with us, first evaluating our old system upstairs and then explaining in detail the units and operation of the old air conditioner and furnace. He then reviewed with us our needs and expectations for a new system, giving us his recommendations for new units, clarifying in detail why he was making those recommendations, and reviewing the cost and available manufacturer and Casteel (for cash payment) discounts. That same afternoon he sent us, via email, detailed estimates for the options we were considering. We compared these estimates with those we had received from two other firms, and had no problem deciding to go with Casteel. When we called Chris to accept one of the estimates, he told us that Casteel could do the installation immediately. Because of our own schedule, we opted for the next week. On the day before installation, Casteel called to tell us what time they would arrive the next morning. In the morning, the installer called from the road tell us exactly when he and his colleague would arrive - again, very punctually. The two men protected their shoes and carefully laid out floor coverings throughout their passageway and work areas. They worked diligently the whole day, were very quiet and polite, then cleaned up neatly before leaving, quite late, for the evening. The work foreman, Shawn, came during the day to review the work. During the installation, the installers discovered a damaged line which had not been visible during Chris' visit. They informed us that we would be charged extra for its replacement, and that Chris would be in touch. Shortly thereafter Chris called to tell us that Casteel would replace the line at no additional cost. When Chris was inspecting our old system, he said that he suspected that two zone dampers were defective. If so, they would have to be replaced, for which we would be charged. We had agreed to this, so when the installers found that the dampers were indeed broken, we gave them the go-ahead to make the replacement. Again the next day, quite early (as previously arranged) the installers called to tell us exactly when they would arrive. Once again they covered the floors and work area, and worked quietly and efficiently until mid-afternoon. They once again cleaned up very carefully, then explained to us the new system and thermostats and helped to get us logged into the new system with WiFi controls. Three days letter we received, via email, the detailed invoice, for the exact amount (including the dampers), to which we had agreed. We were exceptionally satisfied with the whole process, with all of the employees, and with the firm's efficiency and responsiveness.

They are the ultimate in my area. These guys are the top of line. They also give you two free maintenance services after installation.

It was perfect. They did an incredible job putting everything back together in my lawn.

I was scheduled a week earlier. They cancelled me the day before and due to work commitments I couldn't reschedule until the following Saturday. They assured me that booking that far out and on that Saturday I would be first appointment of the day at 8:00 am. Saturday 8:00 am came and went. So did 9 am, 10 am and 11 am. So I called and was told the technician would call me right back with his status and arrival time. He arrive (without calling) at 1:00 pm. 5 hours late. He acted very reluctant to go in the crawlspace and then was more interested in chatting than explaining what the problem was. His description was basically, "It's bad. And it's going to be expensive." So I basically told him that he was so late and put me so behind in the day, that I needed an estimate right then or he needed to leave. He wrote a paragraph estimate for $1200. No itemization, no list. I ended up calling Plumb Doctors who came out the very next day, full estimate written, repairs done quickly. Plumb Doctors will be my plumbers from now on. However, Casteel Heating and Air has been very easy to deal with and I will keep them for heating/air work.

I highly recommend Casteel. Everyone from the sales associate to the installation team was punctual and professional. Over a year later they continued to follow-up with us within the terms of the contract.

I have been a customer of Casteel for many years and they are a top notch organization. In my old home they replaced my entire heating and air conditioning system. In my present home, I had Casteel replace almost my entire system with a new Trane system, Honeywell thermostats and a whole home humidifier system. Once again they did a great job. Last month, the one A/C unit and evaporator coil I did not replace, finally gave out. Casteel, quickly responded to my call and had a new Trane system installed promply and professionally. Everything works great! I also take advantage of Casteel's routine system maintenance program. They are always professional about the service they provide in regular maintenance too. I gave Casteel a B in price only because I have heard that they are a little more expensive than other providers. I don't know for sure if that is the case because I am not willing too even consider anyone else for serving my heating and air conditioning service. Maybe they are more expensive, but sometimes it is true that you get what you pay for. I am a demanding customer and have no tolerance for poor service. If I have to pay a slight premium for the quality and professionalism Casteel offers, then so be it. I don't hesitate to recommend Casteel.

This is a VERY unique situation. I was actually waiting to find out from the hospital what time I would be admitted to be induced to have my first baby. My family was in town, and the air upstairs stopped working the hottest week of the year. Temps in the mid to upper 90's. I called them first thing in the morning to find out if the would be able to fix the issue that day. Like all other heating and a/c places, they were slammed. I explained my unique situation, and they called me back and had someone there THAT morning. It was a lifesaver. They diagnosed and fixed the issue right away. Not only that, I also received a card signed by everyone in their office congratulating me and my husband on our new arrival. This is a company that truly cares about their customers, and pays attention to the small details that you don't get from most repair businesses. I can't say enough how much it meant to us to have them fit us in their busy schedule and taking the stress off of an exciting life event. THANK YOU CASTEEL!!!!!

I contacted this company using their online scheduling to perform service on my air conditioner. My initial appointment was rescheduled since I was unable to reach someone when I attempted to return the call to confirm. We played phone tag. I again used the online form again to schedule another appointment on Monday. I received a call back to "confirm" the appointment and again tried to reach the office but only reached someone who takes a message and you have to wait for a return call. Well, when I finally received the return call, I was told that you don't actually schedule an appointment on line, that is just a form to send an email requesting an appointment. I was then told that the company had no availability for over a week, Wednesday, to check my AC unit. To make the situation more confusing, I received a message today indicating that I could have an appointment if I was able to call and confirm within one hour. This call came in during the middle of the workday and I did not receive the message until several hours later. Well, I later received a message from a technician indicating that he was at my house! When I called the office, I was told that I missed my appointment and that the next appointment was next Thursday (today is Wednesday). Until this company resolves its customer service and phone issues, I will not use them or recommend them to anyone else.

I contacted Casteel after my AC stopped blowing cold air. They were very nice, but they told me that it would be 3 days before they could get a technician to my house. In the meantime, I called Douglasville Heating and Air, and they got a technician to my house within 3 hours. He quickly diagnosed the probem and had our AC running again. Glad I didn't have to wait another several days for Casteel.

I called for an estimate one morning and had the tech out the next morning. After a courtesy call that tech was on his way, young man arrived and promptly took a look at the work to be performed. He was professional and friendly and told me he could do the work immediately. He gave me a quote, which I thought was a little high but, after some discussion, we came to an agreement. True to his word, he was finished in about an hour and cleaned everything up nicely.

Casteel Heating & Cooling took the time to fully evaluated the needs of our home to make sure they were providing the correct system for our needs. Their installers are a dedicated group of guys who worked tirelessly for 10+ hrs to complete the difficult install. Since then we have called on them twice for assistance and they responded very quickly and at no charge when it was determined that an item in the unit was faulty ... in my book that really speaks to their honesty and integrity! We continue to use Casteel for our seasonal check-ups and, highly, recommend them.

The guys came out talked to us about what we needed and then gave us a few options in different price ranges. No high pressure sales, just straight talk about how to handle our situation. Also, they had same as cash financing options - always a plus! Our new HVAC system was installed days later by professional installers. Would definitely recommend.

They are very prompt and professional. They schedule things in advance. They are here when they say they will. They call to let us know when they are within 15 minutes of arriving and also let us know if there are any delays. They are very respectful of our home. The price wasn’t the cheapest but it was comparable to other estimates.

Estimator, scheduler and installer were very professional and courteous. I'm happy with the job they did. Their price beat their competitors by about $500.00. Would use them again and I have recommended them to my friends.

In July they did routine AC checkup. Checked operations of the units, freeon, hoses, etc. I have used Casteel for several years. They are very reliable. Not the cheapest but the work seems to be good.

Instead of taking few hours on proposals, estimates, options for repair or replacement. They limited the estimate for 30min as I requested. The price was not as competitive as other providers, but overall satisfactory.

They sent one of their design team to give me an estimate. I really liked that he not only gave me an estimate for the damage but he also walked the house and talked about other problems I was having with the system. The house was built in 1965 and had been remodeled several times so the duct work was interesting. I didn't choose to pursue having the vents relocated in the bedroom but he told me what could be done and an approximation on cost. Still considering having that done. The crew showed up on time and was professional and quick. I would use this company again.

They came out a few weeks earlier to do a system check for heat and diagnose the problem with our AC. They verified the warranty on the AC so we only had to pay the labor and not for the part. The technician was friendly, informative and courteous. Everything went smoothly and the time estimate they gave was accurate. They were great to work with.

Casteel was very knowledgeable about the heating and air systems and helped me understand the differences between purchasing one versus the other. They were on time for both the initial appointment as well as installation. I was amazed at how fast they could actually replace the heating unit in the basement and attic area as well as the cooling units inside and outside. We ended up with 3 ton Trane systems and so far we have experienced cost savings in our monthly bill. Casteel is highly recommended. They were professional, friendly and cleaned up everything before they left. Enjoyed getting to know the guys and would recommend them to my friends and family. Best HVAC experience I have ever had!

Initial installation was poorly done - lots of noise and zones did not work. Another Casteel representative came back, adjusted the coolant pressure and replaced damper, at part cost/no labor charge. Noise reduced significantly but was still louder than old unit. This October, unit did not heat house - thermal expansion valve was faulty. This was replaced and now the unit is nearly silent and runs like a charm. Plus, the work was done with no charge and the owner agreed to extend guarantee to give "peace of mind" regarding any future problems or issues that occur outside the 1 year labor warranty, up to 5 years. Can't ask for more than that from a service provider. Highly recommend doing business with Casteel.
