The job went well. Evaluated our home's needs and gave us several options. The unit was installed and associated plumbing, venting and wiring were improved at no extra cost. Techs thoroughly explained operation of digital thermostat and filter replacement. Will continue using Casteel.

The system was up and running in 20 minuets.

The ice maker has not worked for years, and I wanted the line fixed. The plumber showed me that there was water on the floor in the back of the refrigerator, and he would not connect the line to the refrigerator for the ice maker. I told him that the water might be from the leak that I had when the tropical storm came because of the power outage. He also told me that I could turn the water off (to the ice maker.) When the plumber finished, he told me that the line was connected. After he went outside, I noticed that water was coming from under the refrigerator. I looked under the sink and turned off the water. Since I was not sure if I had done it correctly, I asked the plumber if I had done it correctly. He said, "yes." Since I had newspapers under the refrigerator, he told me that towels were better for absorption. After he left, water continued flowing from under the refrigerator. 3 1/2 hours later water was still flowing from under the refrigerator. At that point I had two large garbage bags with wet newspaper and paper towels in them plus 4 wet beach towels and 4 bath towels had to be washed.I had also emptied the wet vac four times. I was finally able to get a neighbor to come over and he told me that the water to the ice maker was still on. After he turned it off, the water stopped flowing from under the refrigerator. I also found out that I had turned the water off to the sink and not the ice maker. I feel that the plumber should have caught this when I asked him if I had done it correctly. I called Casteel that night and the lady that answered the phone apologized and told me she would tell the plumber and his supervisor. However, I thought that I would hear from the supervisor. Since I did not, I called Casteel 2 days later and asked for a supervisor. I explained to the lady that answered the phone what had happened and she told me that someone would contact me shortly. That was 2 days ago, and I still have not heard from Casteel. Update: On October 13, 2017 I was contacted by a representative from Casteel to find out what had happened. I was told that I was not contacted earlier because they were working on their end to work out the situation. Since it was a Friday afternoon, I was told that I would be contacted on Monday. On Tuesday, I was contacted by the same representative from Casteel and was told that they were willing to credit me for half of the cost of the water line which was $50.00. I agreed to this, and I also mentioned that I was concerned about the floor under the refrigerator. I was told to contact them if there was a problem with the floor.

Great. They solved the issue I was experiencing.

The tech determined the system was low on freon and charged the system. It is working now.

Technician was professional and nice, but the work was greatly overpriced. They charged separately for fixture and work making a simple light fixture almost $400. These people should not be on Angie's list as they really take advantage by overpricing. This is my first bad experience on Angie's list.

They have been really good. They are expensive. They did a good job. Their price is a little high. Yes, I would use this provider again in the future.

I would give them an A overall. They didn't start out that way, we had some issues that they weren't going to cover what was clearly warrantied. There was just some push back but I was able to persuade them to do the right thing and they covered it. So in the end I would give them an A. I would say maybe start out as a B but they ultimately did the right thing so I give them an A. Quality, it works so an A. I mean its an either an A or F, it works or it doesn't. Just one guy that came out for probably an hour.

This is the second time we've used Casteel. Great experience and result! Very professional and knowledgeable.

Good. They came back out to explain some things about unit when I called them with concern. Installers and Tech that came back out very professional and courteous. Rated price Good, as we all want things for less, except paychecks. Overall good experience and the VP of company I spoke to was very cooperative and helpful.

They were punctual, quick and thorough. I've used them in the past and they have consistently provided excellent service. They also are good about following up to make sure you were happy with their service.

I liked them a lot. The are very punctual. They have great follow up skills. They always check back to make sure everything is ok. I am very happy with them.

They have set appointments so you don't have to spend half a day waiting for them. They are very timely. When they get here, they talk to you about some options. They always even offer discounts if there is some work to be done. So there has been some opportunities for instance I have signed up for the package so they will come back again, and that particular visit maybe end up only charging me labor. They just made it part of the two time package for this year. So that saves us about 80 bucks.

I have had different things done as far as inspection, filter changes to a water heater. They were good.

They are well known in the Atlanta area, with TV commercials and advertising. Their quote was twice as high. I am not saying they are bad or anything, I don't know, but I do know their quote was twice as high so I couldn't believe somebody else would have half as much from a reputable company. They came to my home to give the quote. Their quote was $5,200 -- more than twice as much. They just didn't impress me as much.

This is a follow-up to a previous review of Casteel. Upon seeing my previous review and problem with scheduling, the dispatcher called me the next day to apologize and re-route a technician immediately. The technician showed up promptly and helped us out. I understand that sometimes people make mistakes in scheduling. Everyone needs grace now and again. Thanks Team! I will stay with Casteel. Appreciate the follow-up very very much!

Very professional, honest and excellent service.

Came on time, wore shoe coverings in house, finished in timely manner, respectful and courteous, cleaned up debris and hauled away old units. It's a Trane unit, much quieter than our 19 year old unit they replaced and is working well so far. We took advantage of a special no interest financing offer that helped with this unexpected costly necessity. Overall, aside from initial sticker shock we are well pleased.

I'm trying to be very fair, patient and even-handed with this review and my interactions with this company. Here's the situation: our brand new system is no longer cooling our home (photo attached) - it cannot get below 77 degrees F, even though it's been working hard for days upon end. The larger problem is that I'm having trouble getting service now. I called Saturday morning, as we are having guests from out of town and it's HOT up there in the guest bedrooms. I was told to expect a technician by Saturday evening and they would call when they were on the way ... but no one showed and no one called. I waited until Monday and they said that their system showed that I was supposed to have had a visit, and apologized. The call center personnel are delightful and professional, but in my opinion I should have jumped to the top of the queue since I was supposed to have had a visit on Saturday. I'm having problems getting anyone out before this coming Friday (and I still have guests in town). Ugh. I have a "Concierge Casteel Membership" but not working well for me right now. Really wanted to be a loyal customer, but now having to look for alternative services. I would welcome a call from the owner, as I feel that the call center, while delightful, are not truly empowered to accelerate fixing our issue, but seemingly have to work with the schedule they're given. 30 year old system died on a Saturday . Emailed Casteel on Saturday night and received a call on Sunday , She scheduled a sales person to come out on Monday . I only received one other call from 5 other companies that I left emails and phone messages. I received a quote Monday night and decided to go with Casteel on Tuesday. He scheduled the install for Thursday . Techs showed up right on time and did a fantastic install . Replaced and removed the entire old system . Tech "David" was very informative on entire project and left the crawl space cleaner than when he arrived . Very satisfied with my purchase and the work .

The repair was covered under warranty. I will definitely use them again.
