I wrote a previous review about how Casteel wasn’t hired to fix my HVAC because the heat would not turn on, but I was unsatisfied because I felt the company was really trying to take advantage of me by not being transparent about the pricing. Two days later, the heat would not turn on (same issue as before) and when I called the company, they said I would have to possibly pay again if it was something different. I definitely would not hire this company because the price is much more than other companies and the quality of the service and professionalism afterwards was terrible.

The first plumber showed at my house right on time. He looked in the clean out and said it was backed up ( saw water ). Never came inside.He tried snaking the line for about an hour with different heads. He then asked me to flush the toilet. Water was still backed up and came from under my downstairs toilet. I told him water was flowing inside my house and into my basement and he just said ok. Didn’t move by the way. My wife and I are grabbing buckets to the catch water that’s flowing through levels of my house. I then told him that maybe the problem was in the house or from the clean out to the house. He said no your backed up. After trying for another hour he said that they would have to come jet the line because it was so clogged. More money of course. The next day two guys show up with a machine that jets cleans the sewer line. They looked in the clean out and said it’s backed up and proceeded to clean the line. This went on for about 1-1/2 hours. They ran out of water and had to use my hose to fill the tank back up twice ( more money on the water bill ) but line was still backed up. Once again I asked the guy could it be between the clean out and the house. He said no.They decided to stop wasting my water and come back the next day with a camera ( forgot his camera the first day ) and see what was going on in the inside. The next day they show up put the camera down and he tells me I have a belly ( Sag ) in the line. Which is causing the line to clog when it fills up. He tells me to flush the toilet. Of course now it flushes and doesn’t back up. It didn’t back up because the toilet hadn’t been flushed in two days so the water level went down. He thinks it’s fixed and charges me $585 for the jetting the line. He says it will clog again and at some point I will need to get the line repaired for $3000-$4000. Keep in mind that I have lived here for seven years before this happened. The very next day we flush and the line is clogged again. Surely it can’t be clogged again in one day if it lasted seven years. I call the Casteel back and they refused to come back out until ingetbthenline fixed. The plumber was so sure he was right about the job he wouldn’t even come back out. I called my stepfather who I should have called the first time to come look at it. The first thing we did was go to the basement where there is a line that runs out of the house. The clog was right outside the house before the clean out like I mention to both plumbers. We rented a snake From Home Depot cleaned the line and in 45 minutes had no back ups. Well it’s been about year now with no problems at all. I paid $585 for nothing. No since of urgency from Casteel when the line clogged back up. They were so sure that they were right that they didn’t even want to come back out.

Went very well, the technician (Doug I believe) in the Marietta area was extremely helpful and polite, explaining the entire process and needs of the system. Was honestly surprised as you dont always have someone that proud of their job.

It went great. The technician was actually a little early, he was very courteous, articulate and helped me understand our options for an air cleaning system, both in terms of initial installation costs as well as long term maintenance costs for the options. I highly recommend Cole (our technician) and the entire team at Casteel.

I called to request an electrician to track down the cause of a non-working light switch in my garage. The person who took my call said there would be a $39 trip fee, but couldn't tell me what the final charge might be. Of the face of it, I can understand this, because they don't know exactly how much work would be needed, but they said they didn't have an hourly rate. I accepted, hoping the charge would not be much more than the trip fee if the fix was easy. When the tech arrived, he looked at the switch briefly, determined with a probe that there was no power to the switch, checked that no breakers were popped, and then said that the charge would be $275 to track down the problem, plus any parts he installed. This price covered unlimited time to fix the problem and included a check of other aspects of the house's wiring (which I didn't need). That may not be a bad price for that service, but if the person who took my original call had told me that number, I probably would have looked for a lower price elsewhere. I declined. I object to Casteel's practice of not telling customers in advance what they will charge, especially when they actually have a set price that is not dependent on time worked. I would have been more likely to accept if they had given me an hourly rate. But they got their $39 from me for about 15 minutes of their tech's time, so that probably means a profit for them. Casteel makes a big point of saying in their advertising, and when they answer the phone, that they will take AMAZING care of you, but that apparently doesn't extend to being completely transparent about pricing.

Wow! Tyler did such an amazing job installing my bathroom sink. It was a special project with a custom sink that we created ourselves and Tyler was determined to make it work for us. He is incredibly resourceful and talented. Showed up right on time (early, in fact). Tyler was very kind throughout the entire job and provided realistic suggestions for other plumbing issues we were experiencing. Can't wait to hire Tyler and Casteel again. Also, I've had great work with Timothy in the past as well!

Our home used to have a heat pump, and the copper water lines that ran from the hot water heater to the ECU had sprung a small leak at the valve. I called Casteel and they sent someone that same day even though it was not an emergency. We wanted to have the two small copper pipes going from hot water heater to the ECU removed. That's what the young man from Casteel did. I believe the plumber they sent was named Cory. He was on time, polite and did a very good job. Over all I was very pleased with the work done, and I did agree to the price before the work commenced. However, upon seeing just how quickly and easily the job was completed, I was somewhat flabbergasted at the price they charged me to cut through two small pieces of pipe and put a cap on the ends. Even with a $50.00 amazing care discount it was still, in my opinion way over priced.

Javier was professional and patiently explained what he was doing and why. He tried to replicate the leak in my ceiling but couldn't so he suggestedd several sensible options as a process of elimination before having to cut into the ceiling ... including replacing the grout around the tub in the guest bathroom. The charge was reasonable, although I was surprised Casteel had no standard list price for draining a electric water heater. Judging from what sediment came out, it was sorely needed and way overdue!

Wonderfully! Michael,the technician, looked at the issue and spent the time and effort to fully resolve the issue in our system. While here he went above and beyond expectations in courtesy and professionalism. I hope not to need service calls again but if I do- would hope to get him back as our tech.

A vent above our tankless hot water heater had rusted and fallen off. Casteel was able to send someone out the same day. Jamie was prompt, professional and pleasant to work with! He did a nice job replacing the vent, and also recommended additional services which were needed to keep our system functioning at peak efficiency.

I’ve had a number of issues suddenly occur in my home that were plumbing and HVAC related. As a single female, I completely trust Casteel professionals to serve my needs. Mr. Doug Davis was dispatched the same evening that I called Casteel about my concerns with the attic condensation pipe. Doug took considerable time and effort to diagnose a clogged condensation pump which, unbeknownst to me, was actually located near my downstairs furnace. Doug located and remedied a clog he found in the line, and also cleaned the basement condensation pump inside and out. Doug recommended that I have my upstairs condensation piping reconfigured to empty itself through the sewer line in the attic (thus bypassing very old PVC piping that runs through three floors of my house into the basement). Yes, I actually understand this issue because Doug took the time to explain it to me! Doug’s creative solution is an easy, inexpensive fix, that will put less stress on the condensation pump in the basement. Remarkably, there was no charge for this service call and evaluation. I highly recommend that you ask for Mr. Doug Davis if you need an evaluation of complicated HVAC issues in your home. Doug was professional, thorough, smart, and responsive to my need to understand the problem. Doug was also very sweet to my doggies, and they made friends with him immediately! I am so happy to have a trusted company like Casteel to call when I have issues with my 35 year old home. Casteel is d’ bomb! 💣

Great. The technician, Cody, arrived on time, provided the estimate and alternatives including others that did not involve service by Casteel. I decided to purchase the water heater from Casteel. Cody did a great job pulling out the old water heater and installing the new one. Another technician I had at the house working on my air ducts even commented on the good work on the water heater. The service provided by Casteel's plumber Wayne was excellent. Wayne arrived on time, was very courteous, took care to protect flooring, was very knowledgeable and competent. The drain problem was solved quickly. I have used Casteel Heating and Air services for heating and air, plumbing and electrical and in every instance I have received "amazing" service. I highly recommend Wayne the plumber and Casteel Heating and Air for any service needs someone may have.
