Description of Work: The repairman showed up in street clothes, without identification. However, he was very nice and completed the job quickly while saving us some money. The only downside is that he wasn’t aware of the 5% coupon listed on this Angie’s List listing, and didn’t seem to want to honor it. They did have to reschedule the visit due to parts not being in.

Description of Work: Tech replaced dryer drum in about an hour. (Some other providers I called advised that it would take 2 people 4 hours to do this - 8 hours total- and that I should just buy a new dryer. I won't be calling *them* anymore.) | |They were able to put me on the schedule on very short notice as I was going on vacation that week.

Description of Work: Oven was not heating and needed repair. Nick repaired it. His services are reasonably priced.

Description of Work: Just service call, never use them again and tried to call office to tell them but couldn't get through.

Description of Work: My oven would not heat up. I called Around the House Appliance Repair at 4pm. Nick said he could stop by after he finished the job he was working on. He came about 5:30 and said the igniter was broken. He replaced the part and my oven was fine. I appreciate his quick response and ability to promptly diagnose and fix the problem.

Description of Work: replaced dyer motor and cleaned dryer unit.

Description of Work: owner nick did answer phone (10:00am) and told me josh would call me shortly. At 6:00pm I called nick Again and left him a message that josh never called? Strangley 45 mins. later josh did call and tried to schedule an appt. and with that I told him I called another service guy and to have a nice evening.ALWAYS RULE #1 RETURN THE PHONE CALLS!!!!!!! Period

Description of Work: Nick answered the phone and spoke with me about my repair needs. He was honest in telling me that he didn't recommend that we do a repair due to the nature of the problem and the age of the appliance. He could have stuck us for a lot of money for an appliance that we should probably replace. I appreciate his honesty and I will remember that when I need appliance repair again.

Description of Work: I called Nick for the first time ever this morning and explained that my GE washer is broken. He was very nice and asked me several questions about it. He was able to diagnose the problem over the phone, told me the approximate repair cost and advised me to get another washer instead. I really appreciated his professionalism and helpfulness and told him, I'll call him the next time I need a repair.

Description of Work: Nick came out on a Saturday morning to repair washer- transmission coupling. Very professional and punctual. We will add him to our contact list for future reference.

Description of Work: Had to reschedule twice. Never did use them as Nick told me my washer was a lemon and that even though I had an appointment, he was unable to get to my house. Wanted a 4 hour window for the next day. Am disappointed with Angie's list so far. Will probably cancel my subscription. Lesley Russell
