Description of Work: I've been using Broadview/ADT for my home and business security systems for almost three years. I'm in a contract, so I can't leave, but their monthly monitoring fee is high, and their customer service is awful. Had a keypad go blank today, and the company wants me to pay $175 to fix it--without even coming out to see what's wrong with it. My suspicion is that it's a dead battery, and I'm not paying $175 to replace a battery. They won't help me troubleshoot it on the phone, AT ALL. They just want me to pay for the tech to come out, or buy their expensive service plan. Not happening. I told them where they could stick their service plan, and will be searching Angie's list for a better company. In the meantime, might have to take a baseball bat to the door chime speaker to stop the constant error beeps. :)
